I saw the first 13 episodes of this anime recently. Basically it's about a junior high school boy named Nagusumi who almost drowns in the ocean but is saved by a mermaid named Sun. However according to the laws of the merpeople if a human sees a mermaid in their true form both the human and the mermaid have to die. To overcome this Sun and Nagusumi become engaged so that Nagusumi will be part of the family. Sun ends up going to his school and from there all sorts of hilarious events occur.

From what I've seen so far, this anime is very laugh out loud funny, with pretty much nothing serious about it. The art is simple but kind of cute and the characters each have their own quirks which makes their interactions fun to watch.

Anyone else seen this anime? What did you think?

This Anime reminds me a lot of Azumanga Daioh and Kodomo no Omocha when it comes to that type of comedy... Hate to say it, but it's really not my type of Anime to watch... It's hard to focus on anything else in it when the what they call comedy parts are so annoying to watch... I gave it a try, though...

Fair enough Mistwater, I think the humour is very out there and sort of has a surprise/shock factor. In my opinion it is one of those anime that has comedy parts that you either think are funny or think are ridiculous, or as you say, annoying.
