hi~

i decided to create this thread in an effort to bring together readers of Crimson Hero. it does not seem like a very popular manga, and in most places i see it mentioned, those who read it comment on how they don't like it. a lot of people seem to think there is not enough romance or that it is boring with all the sports games going on, but i really like it!

i was wondering if there is anyone else out there who actually likes to read it, other than me? if so, why do you like it, and what are your thoughts on the story so far?

:: spoiler alert!::

as for me, i was so relieved when Nobara and Yuushin started dating, but i am so annoyed with her for breaking up with him! i know it's a classic thing for one person to break up with the other to protect them, but she could have at least told him!! argh.

I like Crimson Hero. The art is nice, though different and slightly more realistic than other manga artists' styles. I'm not up to date with it yet, I have only finished volume 8. So while there are a lot of emotions and relationship issues going on so far I haven't actually read up to the romantic parts yet, I presume. But the drama is there and that is enough to keep the story going.

I've read some of it, I used to subscribe to ShoujoBeat before it was canceled. I liked it, Nobara has a strong personality and that really appealed to me. When this site, onemanga I think it was called,had to take down a lot of fan-translated stuff, I had just gotten to the point where Haibuki leaves. It's been a while since the last time I read it, but I'm thinking about picking it up again.

I also had a Shojo Beat subscription and found it that way. I liked it, not into sports manga/anime but I think it had a good mix between the sports action/drama and the relationship drama. I have not continued to follow it after the magazine got canceled. Not because I don't want to but because I forget about it.

oh wow!!~ i didn't realize anyone had replied. i haven't gotten any e-mails about this thread, what a pleasant surprise!^^

i agree Darkmistress19, i like that about Nobara too. she works hard and doesn't make excuses for herself. she makes a goal and she works towards it. i don't think i realized that that was something that drew me to the serious before you said that.

and that is true too Ling. the style is more realistic. not everyone looks like a pretty pretty princess all the time, and the team looks somewhat diversified so far as looks and personalities go. everyone has their own personality and the main characters are all predictably pairing off like in some other series i have read. i also love how all the boys team scholarship dudes are so freaking tall because that is also realistic and easy on the eyes, heheh.

how long has it been since Shojo Beat was cancelled Watery Star and Darkmistress19? i haven't been keeping up with the series i used to read religiously in the last few years either, but i am trying to restart. maintaining my nerdiness and staying home to read manga or watch anime is a good way to save money in those delicate weeks before payday. yea, weeks!
