Five gods and five goddesses have been sent down to earth as punishment by the supreme divine ruler for breaking one of the most sacred rules: never directly interfere with the lives of humans. A ruling deity are there only to influence people's lives by the challenges and obstacles that a person lives through, but actual direct involvement that reveals themselves to a human is not allowed. The punishment each must endure now is their expulsion from the heavens and forced to live their lives as abnormal and outcast humans. The memories of their once divine grace have also been stripped from their minds, sealed deep within their hearts rather than minds, as well as their immortality. Once one of these once divine beings dies they are forced to be reincarnated. At times the ten are reunited and have flickers of familiarity of one another, though they can never quite place exactly where. The only thing they know from the start of their birth is they have committed a grave sin and are now constantly being punished.
After years of punishment and forced reincarnations however, the spell that had been placed on them are slowly starting to slip and the seal around their memories within their hearts are starting to leak into their dreams. Will they be able to recover their full memories and find a way to return to grace, or will these leaking memories drive them to the brink of insanity? It doesn't help either that the Divine Ruler has decided to try and end your lives and imprison your souls within the desolate Vault of the Undead, a place where souls are kept and reborn into undead monsters to rot away until there is neither body nor soul left, for all eternity. At the moment their only help is each other and those they choose to hold close to them in their current life...
The date is currently June 29th, 2015 with the time being around noon. The day is sunny and clear with a small warm breeze blowing through the air. The current location is a rather large town that has an ocean and its beaches on one side, and a rather nice wooded area that contains a small open meadowy area in the center of it. Technology is rather abundant with people usually aiming to get the latest gadget or electronic doodad on the market. Boats, planes and cars alike come in and out of the town on a daily basis, and is in fact a place where a majority of people come to visit when they're on vacation. Due to this there are a fair amount of beach houses, condos and hotels as well as popular fast food chains such as: Burger Hut, McPizza, Papa Wendy, Jimmy Subs, and many others. There are banks, arcades, movie theaters, and even a rather large opera house as well as many other places for entertainment. The most popular areas though appears to be the beaches themselves and the spa houses close by.
Despite the town's size there appears to be only one main elementary, middle and high school in the area with each having their own building. Each one is outfitted with the latest technology and requires various forms of ID. In elementary only a picture ID cards that contained the name, age and birth date of the student was required. When a student hit middle school they required the same type of picture ID cards as well as a fingerprint scan to enter. In high school the picture ID cards turned into square electronic ID devices that students and wore around their neck. They still had to do the fingerprint scan as well as now pass through a weapon detector when they first enter the building and whenever they enter a new area or room within the school. If the detector detects a weapon it will give a rather powerful and forceful shock, restrain the student or teacher if it comes to that, confiscate the weapon and make a rather loud and piercing whistle. There are times unfortunately when the detector is rather...wrong and an innocent student is the one that receives the punishment, but on the plus side there haven't been any things such as shootings, stabbings or murder in the school ever since it was installed.
Along with the weapon detector there have been other advancements in the technology realm. A few in particular are: the Lpod, the Lpad, Camintosh (or Cam for short which is a type of computer designed by Orange), instant cameras, vision box (essentially large televisions that are equivalent to HD 50 inch televisions), legtop (a personal computer that sits on your legs), bug zappers (devices that look like remotes that you point at the bugs and they actually zap them), the automatic broom and mop, the garbage disposal trashcan, as well as the no-hands ear phone (essentially cellphones).
(Essentially think of it as a sort of futuristic-modern day, just with different names for everyday items and technology.)
*Note that all gods and goddesses can summon a single weapon type with their element at the cost of not being able to preform their other elemental powers while in human form.
*Bold means they're taken with the gods and goddesses. There can be an unlimited number of Kerin though and regular humans. ^.^
*Please do not alter the genders of the gods and goddesses. God = male, Goddess = female. I have the genders the way they are for a reason and shall not be changing them. I have the genders balanced in a certain way and when people try to change it, it messes me up. So please realize that if it says god your character is to be male, and when it says goddess your character is to be female. Thank you.
Fire – As a god you were able to control all aspects and form of fire, heat and lava. The desert and volcanoes were your domain that you ruled over and felt the strongest in. Your flames could burn anything to a crisp with just a wave of your pinky. Now that you're a human however most of those awesome fiery powers have been gravely reduced. You have a higher heat tolerance than the average person and you're able to create fire, provided you have enough oxygen around you to do it and enough energy in your body. You can also shape that fire into various objects, such as arrows, daggers, balls, and other shapes to be used as a weapon of either range or close combat. Be warned though that doing such puts a large strain on your energy supply and if you're not too careful that fire of yours might get out of control and burn you to a crisp instead of your enemy. If by chance you survive that then know you survived with at least a few third or possibly second degree burns somewhere on your body. You'll also be out for a few days. Your weapon type you can summon are twin short swords.
Water – As a goddess you had full rain over water in all its various forms whether it be liquid, like the ocean, or solid like the snow and ice. The arctic and oceans were your domain that you ruled over and were at your strongest. You could create powerful tidal waves that could wash everything away, create floods from rain or freeze things completely solid with a blink of your eye. Now that you're human you're unable to do such feats anymore. Now about the only things you can do is use surrounding water as a shield or use it like a whip. At times, and if it's cold enough, you might even be able to create ice-balls to hurl at people. Be warned though you too need energy to control the water and ice and if your powers were to get out of control you run the risk of drowning or freezing to death. If you survive however you'll be happy to know you got away with only a bit of frostbite or temporarily weakened lungs that will make you susceptible to sicknesses like colds, flues, fevers and pneumonia. You also might find it hard to function and require lots of sleep. Your weapon type you can summon is a retractable trident.
Air – As a god you were able to control all aspects of air and natural gases, including oxygen, as well as wind storms. Your domain was high in the skies in the clouds and in tornadoes, and it was in those places that you were at your strongest. You could create windstorms that could bring skyscrapers crashing down, or take away a person's oxygen with only a twist of your arm. Now that your human however you find that your powers are drastically different. You can no longer create the fierce storms or kill a person by taking away their oxygen. You are now only able to create gusts of wind only strong enough to temporarily knock a person down or leave a person gasping for oxygen for only 30 seconds. Your powers may not need as much energy as the others but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful. If your powers were to lose control there's a good chance you could be hurled high into the air and come crashing down to earth eliminating your life, or find your own oxygen taken away from you. If you manage to survive however you may find that you will come away with only a few rather deep gashes or even asthma depending on how serious it is. You will also be more susceptible to airborne diseases as your lungs will be temporarily weakened. Your weapon type you can summon is a mace.
Earth – As a goddess you had complete control over all ground, be it land or under the sea, as well as the plants and animals that lived in these areas. Your domain was anywhere that there was land, but mainly it was in forests that you felt your strongest. You could create massive and destructive earthquakes, invoke beasts and plants to attack any thing as well as communicate with all of the surrounding plants and animals at once, or even create powerful medicines and poisons with the plant life with just a flip of the wrist. Now however you'll find your powers a far-cry from such feats. You can now maybe move a large boulder, talk to one plant or animal at a time or even create much weaker forms of poisons and medicines that you were once able to create. However beware as like many of the other elements this too requires quite a bit of energy on your part. If you were to lose control you could find yourself crushed in a rock slide, poisoned by your own quick working poison, or even mauled and killed by the plants and animals that you tried to talk to and command. If you're lucky enough to survive you might find yourself with only a few severe broken bones, a weakened immune system or maybe just missing a limb. You will also be out for quite a while to recover your energy. Your weapon type you can summon is a whip.
Dark – As a god you had complete control of the night, darkness and shadows. The night and shadows were your domain and made you feel your strongest. You were able to create such a suffocating darkness that anyone could be driven suicidally insane. You could also make shadows and darkness become physical and be any object or creature you desired, or make any place as dark as you wanted, or even disappear completely and travel in the shadows with just a yell of your voice. Now that your human however you'll find that your powers are far weaker then what they once were. You can no longer create any object or creature in the shadows, but rather are limited to small fist sized objects or a small house hammer. In the daylight you can create just a little bit of shade around you and others, though it'll cost you a lot of your energy and will only last for about 10 minutes tops. Your shadow travel has also been severally reduced as you can only stay hidden and travel in the shadows for 15 seconds tops before you'll start to feel faint. Be careful though for if your powers go out of control you might find yourself the suicidally insane one or find yourself stuck in the shadows without any air, food, water or anything else that you need to survive. If you manage to actually live through it though you may find that you escaped with a temporary mental regression or in a temporary comatose state for a couple of days. Either way you'll also need a lot of rest. Your weapon type you can summon is a single long sword.
Light – As a goddess you had control over all light, the day time and the sun itself. The day and anywhere with sunlight, most notably tropical islands, were your domains and was were you felt the strongest. You had the ability to create such a powerful blinding light that it could easily blind anyone with even their eyes closed. You were able to darken anyone's skin with the intense sunlight, and could easily make any light starved creature perk up, and not to mention mold the light into objects or creatures with only a turn of your nose. Your powers now as a human however are not so grand as when you were divine and are in fact shallow compared to them. Now you can only light up an area to only temporarily blind someone for about 30 seconds tops. The objects and creatures you can create are now only limited to the average size of a human's foot. You can no longer fully perk up a light starved creature nor can you keep an area that was completely dark lit up for any longer than about 5 minutes as it drains a great deal of your energy. Because of the energy needed to use the light you must be extremely careful not to over do yourself or lose control. If that were to happen then there is a good chance you could develop a rapid radiation from the sunlight that will dissolve your insides or rapidly develop diseases caused by ultraviolet rays and cause them to rapidly mature and kill you. Of course if you survive you might find that you only came out with decreased vision or blindness in one or both eyes, or the start of a disease. Of course too you will need quite a bit of rest before even attempting to move. Your weapon type you can summon is a bow and arrows.
Time – As a god you were in complete control of time and even time travel. Your domain was literally the time line that every being and thing had to follow rather than a specific place on earth. You had the power to travel to any period or place in time that you desired, as well as controlled the time of each and every living and non-living thing. You could speed up a person's age and turn them into an elderly man or woman, or regress time on them so much that they were nothing but a helpless infant. You could even freeze a person eternally in time, making them unable to age, move or even life as well as rewind or fast-forward the time either in the area around them or with the person themselves with nothing more than a thought. Now that you're a human however your powers have greatly regressed. You can no longer do the large time jumps you once were able to, but rather jump only a day or two in the past or future but at the price of using almost all of your energy. You can also only freeze, rewind or fast-forward time by about 5 seconds tops. Your powers to age things are almost non existent and can only make things about a minute older or younger, though again at a great cost to your energy. Be wary that you do not lose control over your powers or you may find yourself already in the grave yourself or your very presence and existence erased. Of course if you managed to avoid such a fate you may find that you only came away with a few internal injuries from the rapid time change on yourself personally as well as extreme exhaustion and maybe older or younger that could range from a second to years. Your weapon type you can summon is a spear.
Space – As a goddess you had complete control over space, planets, stars and anything else within space itself. Your domain where you felt the strongest was space itself and in earth's atmosphere. You were able to create 'pockets' of space and devoid and area of absolutely everything. You also held control over the stars and could even force them to move and come crashing down on a particular spot or even have many move and crash at once. You could create stars and planets and even change the moon's phases. You could create eclipse that could permanently blind people and even create black holes with just the twirl of your hair. Now that your human your powers are greatly reduced. You can no longer create large pockets of space and even small ones completely exhaust you. Even your black holes are much smaller compared to when you were still divine. You're lucky if you can even get one star to move for you now, let alone crash anywhere. You can only control two phases of the moon and that's only when it's waxing or waning. The only thing you can devoid any space of now is maybe a few plants and animals but not all of them as well as most oxygen, but only for about 40 seconds. You should be weary though for if you lose control you could find yourself and others without any oxygen nor any way to get it back. You may even cause a star to come crashing down on you. However if you were to survive such things you would probably come out with a fair amount of severely broken bones, weakened lungs, or possibly stuck in a black hole for a period of time. There's also a good chance that you will probably be comatose for at least three or more days. Your weapon type you can summon is a staff.
Life – As a god you were probably one of the most powerful since you had control of life itself. Your domain that you felt the strongest in was one that was completely surrounded by life but more specifically the rainforests were by far yours. You had the power to bring things that had died back to life, heal all wounds, and even restore people back to health completely. Of course you also had the ability to drain people of their lives, and although you couldn't kill them yourself, you could weaken them to the point where they would soon die on their own. You could also give people diseases through bacteria as well as infections that could kill them if left alone. Now that your human you can barely bring back a fly to life without exhausting yourself. On top of that reviving something from death requires you now to sacrifice a little of your own life. You are still able to heal wounds that aren't severe as well as some mild sicknesses like colds. You aren't able to restore people completely back to health but you can lessen their unhealthiness slightly. Be warned though if you lose control you could very well forfeit your own life and health as everything you do requires you to use a little bit of your own life. Of course if you manage to avoid death then you may find that you only came away with being severely weakened for at least two days and needs a lot of rest. You may or may not also come out with either a mild or serious sickness/infection as well as shorten your life expectancy. Your weapon type you can summon is a pike.
Death – As a goddess you were probably one of the most powerful since you had control over death as well as the souls of the deceased. The domains that you felt the strongest in were the underworld, the heavens as well as in graveyards and burial grounds. You had the power to end the life of any creature, be it for a merciful reason or otherwise. You could control whether a person would have a peaceful, painful, quick or slow death as well as what it was they died from. You were also able to infect people with some of the most deadliest diseases both known and unknown. You could also control the very souls of others be it again for the better or worst for that person with a simple touch. Now that you're human though your powers have severely decreased. You can no longer kill any creature, but rather only creatures about as big as a dog without the threat of passing out in the end. The diseases you can inflict upon people now are only mildly dangerous ones and you can no longer have full control of just how a person dies. You can only make it slightly more peaceful, painful, slower or faster, but with a difference of only 5 seconds or making as much of a difference of a 3% increase or decrease of pain. In terms of soul control you can only make souls do various things, depending upon whether they wish to listen to you or not. Be careful not to lose control over your powers or you may find yourself in the grave rather than your target or you may end up making your own death the opposite of what you wanted it to be. Of course if you survive you may just find that you're missing a piece of your own soul or possessed by another. It's also possible that you may even contain a milder form of the sickness you were trying to bestow. Your weapon type you can summon is a scythe.
Divine Ruler of the Gods – You are the one that rules over all the others in the heavens. In your hands alone you control the fates of not only the mortals but the fates of the immortals too. Your domain is the heavens themselves and that is where you choose to remain. You are the one that sets the rules that the gods and goddesses must follow and if they do not, you are the one that exacts their punishment. Hundreds of years ago five gods and five goddesses in particular had broken one of your most divine decrees: never directly interfere with the lives of humans to the point where you reveal yourself to them. Your punishment for them was to expel them from the heavens and cursed them to live as mortals that were to be reincarnated when death claimed them for all eternity. However even though these gods and goddesses disobeyed you, you still viewed them as your children, and so to slightly ease their suffering you also took away and sealed their divine memories within their hearts. Originally you felt that your sealing was enough and that it would forever last. You're finding now however that the seals you put in place are starting to weaken and shall eventually break, and thus you risk losing your precious children forever as they would run the risk of being driven completely insane. To try and prevent this you have created a race called Kerin, a race that hunts down former gods to devour their flesh and trap their souls within vials for you, so that you may then lock their souls within the Vault of Souls and end their lives completely. You have also decreed however, that if your children can prove themselves worthy once more of your grace that you shall let them return to the Heavens and take up the roles they once held. The only problem is your children are not exactly aware of this little fact... Although you too have a human form your powers are only slightly limited, mainly because your still immortal when in that form, for the most part, and can switch back to your divine form. Your weapon type you can summon is a gun but only when in human form.d
Kerin - A wild beast-like race that will stop at nothing to find its prey once its target has been set. You serve loyally the Divine Ruler, at least until you can find a way to devour them as well, and will do whatever it is they say. They carry with them special glass vials that are used to imprison the souls of their targets to be taken to the Divine Ruler to essentially be judged and their ultimate fates decided. The favorite delicacy of these creatures however is gods and goddesses, but current and former so this has made you a bit blood thirsty when you are around them. Even the Divine Ruler has some question on whether or not they should allow your race to exist, but so long as they find a use for you there is no need for your kind to worry. Kerins range in forms shapes and sizes, but their main similarity is that they are typically some type of humanoid animal, much like a werewolf in a two legged form. The animals that they are range from invertebrates, fish, birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and mythical creatures.

Don't exclude people. Now if your character randomly wanders off away from everyone it will be your responsibility to bring them back in. What I don't want is to have someone's character who's offline be left behind because the entire group decided to move away. Indirectly interact with them to give them something to work with and know that they haven't been excluded.
Literacy isn't too important but I do ask that there be periods at the end of your sentences, the first letter of your sentence capitalized (not every word capitalized mind you), double quotation marks to indicate speech, as minimal spelling errors as you can, and not every punctuation be an exclamation mark.
One liners are accepted, but please make sure it's something that people can work off of. If you post something like: She smiled. Then I will ask you to redo your post so that we can work off of it.
Please be aware that not everyone can be on every single day for every single hour. I work in a kitchen, business varies, and there are some days in which I'm not able to get on or able to get on for a few days. So please do not go too far ahead of people. At the same time though don't make this an excuse to disappear without at least telling me. I can understand emergencies and if you do find yourself removed from the thread you can tell me when you return as I can assure you though your profile may be removed it will not be deleted and can easily be put back up, and I can assist you in coming back in.
Please PM profiles to me. Do not post them here please.
Please put a quote from Edgar Allen Poe somewhere above your character profile. Not in the character bio, not below the character bio, not as the subject, somewhere above the character profile. This is to ensure you've read and understand my rules. (Use google or ask.com if you need to.)
Please keep the roles as even as possible. I don't want everyone to be a god/goddess and there not be any Kerin's at all, nor do I want the opposite.
Keep things Pg-13. Violence, romance, drama, ect... are allowed but don't do anything or post anything that would get you, the thread or anyone else in trouble. If you want to go in depth in something not allowed take it off site please.
Use something to distinguish between your OOC and IC, be it []. {}, () or whatever.
Please respect your fellow roleplayers. If characters fight and have conflicts then that's fine, but I'd rather battle between the actual roleplayers be kept off of here, as well as insults, or crude comments that can be hurtful.
Rules can be added or altered as needed, though I'll try to inform everyone when that happens.

Kai MetchidaX
Menewsha Name: Arechi
Name: Kai Metchida
Age: 18
Gender: Male
God of: Fire
Personality: Kai has a relatively strong sense of pride. He can be relatively quick to anger if the wrong thing is said or done to him, however that doesn't make him a bad guy. He trusts people pretty easily and it's relatively easy to gain his trust in return. He's loyal to his friends and isn't afraid to stick up for them or himself. He's a pretty reliable guy despite his fiery temper, which ironically enough makes him somewhat popular among people.
Appearance: Divine appearance (Aka what your character looked like as a god/goddess): (except he has two black wings not just one with flame red flame designs on the back of them)
Human: (Minus the random white dragon wings)
Weapon Appearance:
Bio: With Kai it was his fiery temper that caused him to receive his punishment as a god as well as a thirst for vengeance that he soon lost as a human later on. When he was a god there was a particular village that had originally come to worship him, since they lived beside a dormant volcano and believed that appeasing the god would make it stay inactive. He had protected the village from the volcano until slowly people began to forget about the 'god' and instead attempted to use science to keep the volcano from erupting. Eventually Kai was all but forgotten by the village he had come to protect, though he hadn't entirely minded too much. It was only until a few people had discovered old documents talking about a god that protected them, and the mocking of that god and calling him some fake superstition that drew the fire god's full anger out and caused him to desire both vengeance and destruction. Although he hadn't minded being forgotten, being mocked was an entirely different thing. As punishment for the people the fire god went down himself to prove that he truly did exist and to personally wipe out the entire village himself. He had succeeded in both respects and although he had wiped out most of the people from the village with his vengeful flames and the erupting volcano he had still revealed himself to the humans and thus was punished in turn.
As a human the vengeance he had craved as a god had almost completely vanished, though his fiery temper remained. Unfortunately it was also this fiery temper that had caused him to become the town's abandonment child. He had discovered his use of fire at a relatively young age, and with his parents being descendants from the island village he had burn centuries ago, caused his parents to first fear and eventually abandon him. He had never fully understood their fear, nor did he have a chance to. Either way though he didn't really mind being, as he calls 'forgotten', by his parents and has gotten along rather well on his own...well with the help of some of the relatively nice members of his community anyways. He managed to get along well with others at school, though there were the occasional incidents, and even had managed to become one of the more popular people there.
Since he was younger he had always seemed to suffer from some 'minor' night-frights (nightmares), though they've been increasing in magnitude, especially lately now that he's come to interact with certain people from school. In his night-frights he always sees a man with black wings with flaming swords, laughing almost like a maniac around a burning village beside a volcano as people ran screaming in fear and on fire. During these frights he also feels a frighteningly real feeling of anger and vengeance. It has gotten to the point where most of the friends he tells encourage him to seek therapy, and semi-secretly he has been.
Other: It's believed that the 'invention' of fire was brought about through his influence of people's actions when he was a god, though there so far has been no human made connection between him as a human and him as a god.

Really, the rumors that she’s a heartless, soul-sucking vampire creature are taken from the fact that to strangers, she’s withdrawn and aloof. It took her friends most of the school year to get to know her fairly well. Most of this is because of an attachment issue she has. She can feel when people die and is terrified of having those bonds severed.
Appearance:
Human:
Weapon Appearance:
Bio: Ashli’s grave transgression was giving secrets of killing others to the people who worshipped her. Of course, such secrets were already supposed to be kept from them, but it was made even worse when she went to meet them when they called on her, not to mention that she had to meet them to tell them the secrets in the first place. Even though the people never came to know her true form, it wasn’t enough for the Divine Ruler, and he cast his punishment on her. It was kind of ironic that the reason she shared the secrets in the first place was because she was attempting to keep the balance between life and death in check. As weapons and other ways of killing were rather primitive, the birth rate was increasing faster than the death rate, creating an imbalance among the two forces. Of course, the Ruler’s objection was that it could have been done without meeting the humans, and still punished her anyway.
This sense of betrayal left her with her apathetic and anti-social personality, as well as began her fear of losing attachments. These fears were only compounded when her parents left her at an orphanage when she was little. The reason? She kept making them sick. In fact, she made everyone sick. It didn’t matter how healthy she was, or how much they washed their hands, they ended up sick. Of course, extra Vitamin C helped reduce the symptoms of the various illnesses, but not entirely. It also didn’t help that she talked to imaginary friends well past the time that it was normal. These imaginary friends were actually ghosts and such, though, often leading to the belief that she was possessed, or that the orphanage itself was haunted. Eventually, she managed to get the majority of her abilities under control. For instance, she still makes people sick, but not much more than a coughing spell. This control has allowed her to blend into life at school as simply a weird girl, not a freak to be avoided at all costs.
Strangely enough though, she has been having recurring dreams of death, plague, and other terrible occurrences. Occasionally, she sees people she’s sure she knows, beautiful beyond all measure, but she can’t remember where she’s seen them or who they are. While a few of the dreams do bother her, her secretive nature has kept her from sharing them with anyone, even her best friends. Ironically, she has told a few of the ghosts she sees around, feeling that their age might allow them the wisdom to help her, but so far, they haven’t been much help.
Other: She was responsible for the depiction of death as a cloaked skeleton wielding a scythe, as well as most of the undead.

She viewed herself as inferior to none, equal to her sister goddess, space, and superior to all others. She took pleasure in the knowledge that water could quench flame, erode the earth, was the source of life, and that water was not something that could be brought down by death or time. Amongst her siblings, she only saw Space as an equal since her celestial movements, primarily that of the moon, effected the movements of her water's tides. For many a millenia, she simply insulted her siblings, their confrontations coming down to nothing more than traded insults. Soon though, while trying to display her dominance over the others, she began to cause her waters to stir, resulting in tsunami's, monsoons, and arctic storms, taking many lives, before she finally went too far, sinking the island nation of Atlantis and its millions of citizens. This finally being the last straw, the Divine Ruler banished her down unto Earth, one of the first amongst the gods to be cast down.
Angelina is very different from the deity she once was. She was voted class president in middle school and remembered as being 'Everyone's best friend,' for her personable attitude towards almost every student, bullies being the sole exception, and she looks forward to running for Class President in Senior year, but she'll just have to settle for Freshman class Representative for now. Her family moved here recently and ever since, she's been having terrible nightmares of a fearsome, white-haired woman of terrifying power. She's been trying not to let them bother her, though, since she's busy re-establishing her reputation here in a new town down by the water.
Other: Has a tendency to fall madly in and out of love with people in an effort to find that one true love

She’s also very much a tomboy, which is the reason she hates her first name and goes by her middle name instead. Her need to be prepared leads to her being incredibly responsible, if a bit serious. This has led to a reputation for being a killjoy, though that’s not really true. She just doesn’t enjoy a lot of the same things as other people.

Weapon Appearance:
~The gear thing at the top is removable. It's inside a holster. :3~
Bio: As a goddess, Scout got along well with just about everyone. Her friendly, caring, and happy-go-lucky nature made her an amiable individual. The only real goddess to get under her skin was Angelina, the goddess of the water. Her superiority complex annoyed the earth goddess to no end, especially when she began to stir up storms, deviating from the traditional bickering. In retaliation, Scout separated the continents to divide up the waters, but it didn’t hinder her sister in the least. The fighting progressed until it involved more than just the deities, with the two of them getting worse and worse about the whole thing. Then Angelina sank Atlantis and got banished. That wasn’t enough of a punishment for Scout, who, in a moment of rage over the loss of the island, caused the supervolcano in Lake Toba to erupt. Do to the spur of the moment thinking, she completely overlooked the loss of life it would cause, instead only seeing that it would reclaim land. The Divine Ruler was far from pleased however, and banished her as well.
The change in the goddess of earth’s personality is probably one of, if not the, most dramatic changes among the deities. She no longer gets along with everyone and has lost her carefree spirit and friendliness. In fact, it seems that she has something like passive-aggressive personality disorder, which shows itself primarily in her sullen and argumentative nature. This, in addition to her survivalistic nature has resulted in her being scorned and mocked throughout most of her academic career. She even says she has no friends, though it’s mainly because of her passive-aggressiveness, which she developed as a defense mechanism against relationships. This defense, as well as her survivalism, came about when her parents died in the wilderness after their plane crashed when she was six years old. Luckily for her though, she was adopted by Rob and Amanda Noyes. Despite the young age at which she was adopted, she still doesn’t call them mom and dad and refuses to use their last name without her own. Needless to say, their relationship isn’t the best, especially with her ‘sister’ Katherine, who’s bossy and stuck-up most of the time.
Her life was fairly simple: schoolwork, video games, and time outdoors or with Scouts took up the majority of her time. She would spend hours outside hiking around in the woods and such while climbing trees. Recently, however, her life is changing, especially with the onset of the strange dreams. In them, she sees hundreds of thousands of people baked alive by lava and pyroclastic flow or drowning in a great storm, always resulting in her bolting awake. It’s gotten so bad that she’s begun to wet the bed, much to her sister’s delight and her embarrassment.
Other: She meets with a psychologist regularly at her parents’ insistence, though it hasn’t, and more than likely won’t, do anything to change her. She’s also extremely into nature, knowing all about botany, gardening, etc.

He is a thinker rather than a doer, much preferring to rationalize and logic something out before taking action, though if he is stirred strongly by emotion, either good or bad, he can become hasty and more impulsive. Still, he has a long fuse, and it takes quite a bit for him to get to the point of an outburst.
Divine appearance:
Human:
Weapon Appearance:
Bio: As a god, his presence struck fear in mankind, a light-loving race that cowered in the night, huddling around their fires. For a short time, he reveled in the power, favoring the nocturnal creatures and turning his back to the “higher” animal that could not comprehend the need for darkness. However, as he watched humans from under his cloak of night, growing, changing and discovering, he began to mourn for their joyful presence in his domain, their temples and “worship” born of their fear no long enough to please him.
Becoming bitter towards the gods and goddesses the humans truly adored and worshiped, his heart iced over and the darkness remained rightly feared by the creatures of the light. However, as civilization grew, he found something that stirred his emotions again. The first sounds of true music, notes on instruments created by human hands, echoed through the shadows to him. Enraptured, he started to closely watch the development of the arts, enthralled by every new color, sound and shape man made, his near obsession soon driving him to slip into the shadows as close to the mortals as he dared.
One night, long lost to time now, as he followed the steps of a young musician a new emotion washed over him- love. Emboldened by this feeling, the god turned a blind eye to the rules of his existence and revealed himself to the bard, a choice that soon led them to meet in secret every time the sun fell below the horizon. So taken by passion, the god shared his power with his lover, allowing them to see as the night animals do and travel with the god through the shadows, exploring the world as no mortal had before.
But that was many centuries ago, and now in his punishment the god is reborn again as a mortal. Perhaps as an ironic reminder from the Divine Ruler, or just a strange twist of fate, Ren is quite like the God originally was, but born with a damaged heart and mind- depression and a mild heart disease shaping much of his life experiences.
Somewhat sheltered as a child, but well loved and raised with good principles, he lives with his mother and grandfather just outside of the city. He spends much of his time with his grandfather, who has always encouraged and inspired the teen’s love of the arts. His secluded childhood and rather closed nature made him a bit of a target in school, the “cool” kids picking on the sensitive musician and poet, though they soon learned it was nearly impossible to anger the artist. Despite the decline in the teasing, as he got into high school he became even more reclusive, staying quiet and largely unnoticed, except in one elective class- band. He plays the violin, guitar and piano quite well, his talent drawing the attention of his classmates and teacher often, something he does not always like. This has also lead him to be somewhat of a “teacher’s pet”, though he won’t admit it.
However all of this, his childhood, family and life, seem inconsequential of late. His mind, which has always had a penchant for drifting into fantasy, has been consumed by dark dreams- though they do not leave him in fear. Instead, a deep sorrow has rooted into his already unstable mind. Tiny, flickering lights, whispered hums and a nameless blur of a person so dear- so close it nearly hurts, has been engraved into his thoughts. These dreams have lead to a decline in his grades, mood and health, though admittedly, his writing and musical creations have never been more beautiful.
Other: His heart condition is a mild form of tachycardia, an affliction that causes his heart to beat faster and palpitate irregularly. He combats it with daily medication and meditation techniques, but he is still prone to fits that leave him breathless, dizzy and unable to stand should something raise his pulse too much.

Appearance: Human form is 5'10 dark-skinned, wiry man. He has long, shaggy brown hair that falls to his waist, and dusky eyes. Wears loose t-shirt and khaki shorts. In his animal form he can move on his hind legs, though it's not preferable. Nehom's arms are short and stocky, as are his legs, and is an endurance runner. He has a heavy, rounded head, and short ears. Dense, brown fur covers his body, though he has lighter markings of tan, lines which start from the top of his shoulder, curve around the torso, and end up near the hips.
Bio: A sense of loyalty prevents Nehom from attempting to devour the Divine God, though he also has a feeling that if he attempted such an act, he wouldn't survive it. He had been born with an instinct to find the Gods and Goddesses but also strives to discover their whereabouts for the sake of the chase. He lived in a small tribe, and though his life was brutal Nehom remained, at least until he discovered the Gods' scent and was sent after them.

Menewsha Name: Arechi
Name: Zumi Ts'ung
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Animal: Red Panda
Personality: Zumi is deceitfully sweet and shy. She's not afraid to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals and ambitions, even if that means pretending to be human and can easily blend in to her situations and surroundings relatively well because of it. Her serving the Divine Ruler has turned her rather bitter towards all deities, whether or not they still hold their gody powers or not. Towards other kerins she a bit more 'real'. She is naturally curious and that does occasionally pierce her false mask and produce her true nature.
Appearance: Temporary human form:
True form:
Bio: Zumi was the daughter of her tribe's mystic, so she's quite skilled in the ways of magic. Her most notable form of magic though is illusion magic. It's probably one of the reasons that the Divine Ruler had enlisted her help to hunt down the past gods and goddesses. Initially she tried to refuse, after all she had to think about taking over her mother's position as mystic, however after a few threats and forced submission she reluctantly agreed. To blend in and get close enough to the targets she developed a human disguise.
She has been living her life as a 'human' now for a few months and had managed to sneak her way into the high school where she could smell the presence of the past gods and goddesses. She also aware that many others of her race have also been enlisted by the Divine Ruler to assist in taking them down before they discovered who they really are. Sniffing them out isn't too much of a problem, however she is concerned one of them might do something to blow her magical cover. She has managed to get close to a few of the past gods and goddesses. She's not the most popular girl, however she isn't a complete outcast either, rather she's in a position where she could make a splash and be noticed if she so chose to.
Other: She works rather hard on her human disguise, after all it's not easy to keep up the illusion of a high school human girl and hide all her fur. Typically she wears a top hat to help hide her ears and had managed to convince many of the school faculty that due to a medical condition, and thus isn't required to remove it.

(Alrighty for now we can somewhat get this thing started, or at least have some intros up. We're still in large need of Kerins too!)
Beep, beep, beep, beep, smack were the only sounds that echoed around what at first glance seemed to be a regular small home, but devoid of all life. It would not be uncommon for anyone who entered the small house to believe what they heard was only their imagination. Fifteen minutes later however the same set of noises repeated, however this time it was accompanied by the sound of a sleep groan and the slow shifting of blankets Perhaps a tourist of the town would think this the work of some vengeful apparition or spirit. Of course those who lived in the town itself knew not to believe some fabled fairy tales and that this house was in fact the dwelling's of the town's abandonment child Kai Metchida If one payed attention they would even figure out the noises seemed to come from what appeared to be a rather minimally furnished bedroom, and see the shirtless mound of a human being laying on a mattress that had simply been thrown onto the floor, with an alarm clock just above it trying to coax the youth out of bed and to get ready for that day's lessons of educational learning.
Kai was not a morning type of person, with those that knew him well aware of this little fact, and the fact that it was a day that he needed to go to the building known as a school did not make this particular one any more pleasant for him. With a sigh he glanced up, so as to see the small makeshift headboard and the small digital alarm that was placed on it and clearly the culprit of the beeping noises. On it read about 7:00 am and underneath the numbers read the letters 'time to get up' and were currently flashing. Quietly he let out a sigh and weighed the pros and cons of not going to the imprisonment known as school today. On one hand he would avoid a rather painful shock from the school's security system claiming that he held a non existent weapon, and he would get to sleep in. On the other hand he knew there were certain people in the town who would not hesitate to tear down his door and drag him to the facility themselves.
Deciding that having to repair a door outweighed the thought of a bit more sleep and the absence from a rather painful and falsely placed shock, he rolled off of his mattress and onto the floor with a light thud. He laid there a few moments more on the floor before hoisting himself into a sitting position and slowly making his way towards standing. “The faster I get this over with the faster I can simply come back here and sleep” he said with a small nod as he tried to convince himself to look at things a bit brighter then what they were.
Glancing out the single, small window in his room, the tanned youth noticed that there was a promise of a mostly clear day, with the possibility of some rain later on. Of course to him this was all the better since he felt that rain was the best sleeping weather, at least for him. He never really liked the rain much and sleeping through it was the best way he could think of in avoiding it.
Shaking his head clear of thoughts he quickly made his way to the makeshift dresser that contained his school clothes for the day. Luckily the school there was one of the few that didn't have required uniforms, and so he was allowed to wear his usual red pants, red and white converse, black jacket and a white shirt, that he only really wore during school hours.
Once dressed he made his way out of the small bedroom and towards the living room area that held a small modest couch and a vision box that his parents had left behind. Once he was in the room he began to approach the front door, reaching towards an occupied hook beside it that contained his packbag for school. Once he had that secured around his shoulders, he debated on whether or not he should grab a quick bite to eat from the kitchen. The list of foods he currently had in the cupboards and fridge however, urged him that waiting until lunch to eat would be a far better choice. With a shrug of his shoulders and reaching for the keys contained on one of the other hooks, he opened the door, stepped out, and turned and locked it. He knew of course that of all the houses to break into his probably wasn't on the top of the list, but it had become a habit of his either way.
Once the door was locked and secured, or at least secured enough, he began making his way still somewhat sleepily, down the usual path to school, where he would usually bump into at least one or more of his school friends.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Zumi~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amidst the leaves of a makeshift bed a large, human sized ball of fur laid peacefully, or at least it was until multiple streams of sunlight began pouring through the canopy above and assault the ball's closed eyes. Closed eyelids scrunched up as they attempted to shield the eyes behind from the blinding and concentrated morning sunlight. In a further attempt the ball shifted before seeming to finally give up. The furry shape uncurled itself to reveal a sleepy red panda humanoid by the name of Zumi.
Yawning and stretching her still sleeping muscles, she grumbled quietly about nature choosing to awaken her earlier then her internal clock. A pawed hand moved to rub the solidified sleep from her eyes before shielding them as she directed her golden gaze towards the bits of sky she was able to make out. Judging from how the sun pierced down through the leaves she guessed that it was around early morning, yet the sun had clearly been up for at least a few hours. 'Still have plenty of time before I must go to that horrific facility...' she thought with a mental sigh before laying her body back down on the ground with a thump.
Unlike the 'normal human' classmates that she had, the panda furry preferred the natural out doors rather then a fancy shack made of falsified wood and stone, after all why pretend to live in a natural habitat when you could actually live in it? Living in such a false quarters made her feel trapped and far too human. It was bad enough she had to conceal herself with her illusion spells to appear like them. Of course for those humans she chose as her 'friends', so as not to arouse suspicions towards her inhumanity, she had arranged for a legitimate 'home' to show off, decorated in full with fanciful furniture, various picture paintings and other homely decorations that would make seem lived in. Foods that she would never dare to willing force into her system were stacked neatly in pantries and cupboards that she had put up herself. She had managed to weave the story that her parents were usually away on business trips all over the world, sending her money occasionally for her living needs. Occasionally she would create their illusions when there were small groups of her friends over to satisfy and prove false their accusations of her being abandoned and stealing. Elaborate family photo pictures were arranged throughout the house, however they were all technically fake, though they looked real enough to be satisfactory.
It was a place she preferred to spend as little time as possible, the only real god-send of it was that this 'home' rested within the outskirts of the town and in the surrounding vegetation. This allowed her to easily sleep in the comfort of nature without arousing suspicion as to why it was she came from the wooded tropical areas of which she usually nested in.
Bringing her thoughts again to the present she slowly began to rise again from her leafy nest and prepare herself for another dull day at the learning facility. It took time for her hunt up her breakfast, preferring the more natural leaves, berries and small prey animals that she had become so accustomed to in her tribal life. Besides it was much easier to keep up a prolong illusion when her stomach wasn't constantly rumbling for attention.
Within moments her hunt began, as her golden gazed scanned the tops of surrounding trees and bushes, her ears perked for the sounds of small prey animals. It wasn't long before her animalistic hearing picked up the scurrying of a field mouse. Planning her moves quickly she stealthily made her way to her calculated ambush point. Pouncing with a poise that would rival any cat's, she managed to trap the small furry creature between her pawed hands. She could feel the warm squirming body as it tried to escape her grasp. “Nuh uh you're not going anywhere but into my belly little one. Be happy that you may help me in completing my mission and in turn helping the 'benevolent' Divine Ruler” she soothed to the creature, picking up by the squirming tail. Although it was more accustomed for perhaps a cat kerin to eat such a creature raw and alive, Zumi felt she was more then willing to do the same, or at least she thought so initially. As the creature dangled only inches above her opened mouth she couldn't help but feel pity for the poor thing. With a sigh as she allowed her emotion to overrule her actions she quickly and mercifully ended the creature's life before feasting upon the small flesh and meat.
Her stomach now satisfied for the time being she began slowly doing her daily ritual of carefully cleaning her fur in a near by water source. Once cleaned and decently dried she began to carefully weave her illusional spell. Once certain all was in place, and adorning her usual top hat that had been leisurely hanging on a near by branch, she began making her way out of her comfortable make shift natural home and towards the building that would waste a fair amount of her day, though perhaps today would provide her with an opportunity to rid the world of at least one of her many targets.
(Um I'm not sure if it's okay to post yet or not. But I'm also just going to say something in OOC here so that people will be able to see it, I guess... sorry if that's like, arrogant or obnoxious...)
The solid oak door opened slowly in the dim hallway as a head of wildberry-colored hair peeked out and looked both ways. The petite frame of the owner shortly followed, bundled cloth in her arms. Without hesitation, she began the trek to laundry room. Fortune was not smiling on her though. Another door, similar to the first one in every aspect but the color, opened quickly as another girl popped out. The smile of malice on her face was enough to send chills down the spine of even the most hardened high schooler. Unable to see with the cloth in her arms, the smaller girl ran into the larger before staggering back to keep her balance.
"Mom! Scout peed the bed again!" she shouted, eyes never leaving Scout's face, which grew rosy at the vocalization of her accident. With that, she gleefully skipped back into her room, closing the door with a soft click. Scout merely waited for her mother to come to the scene, realizing that it was hopeless to try and hide it any further. Her predictions were spot on, as in moments, her mother arrived. Instead of shouting or showing other signs of anger, she pulled the sheets and pajamas out of Scout's hands before attempting a hug.
"Amanda, don't," Scout replied, shaking out of the half-hug quickly. "I'm gonna go get breakfast and leave." And then she was on her way down the large staircase to the ground floor. The dream was what held her thoughts though. All of those people drowning and burning in sheer agony. Their cries and faces of horror still made her shudder. They were the reason for her bedwetting, though no one but her knew that. Even if her adoptive mother Amanda knew, it wouldn't change the fact that she was beginning to get fed up with it. Not to mention she would probably add that to the list of things to talk to Dr. Thesmoore about.
After she had gotten her bowl of cereal, she pulled out her hand-made map and checklist from a pocket on the side of her backpack, a rather large thing that seemed almost too large for her to carry. Having changed out of her pajamas upon waking up, she took her time choosing what part of the woods she wanted to map after school and going over the contents of her black bag.
Flint and steel, magnesium, compass, filter, and everything else were right were they were supposed to be. Apart from the various survival tools she had stowed away was her extra clothing: an green-apple three-in-one jacket, the zip-off sleeves of her shirt, and a pair of, unfortunately, purple rain pants. Those would obviously go over her regular clothes if it began raining while she was out in the woods, which it looked like might happen some time during the day.
Not surprisingly, her regular clothes were also survival-oriented. She was wearing her bright orange shirt with reflective silver accents and a pair of black roll-up pants, which were currently rolled up. Her sky blue sun tripper cap was folded up in her pocket and ready to go, while her feet were clad in blue and black toe socks designed to reduce blisters and wick away moisture. All that she was missing were her boots, which were sitting in the foyer with all the other shoes. Once she finished going over her checklist, she finished off the rest of her milk, brushed her teeth, put her black, steel-toed hiking boots on, and headed out the door and all before Amanda came out the door. So far, it was looking to be a great day.
~~~
Waking up at the crack of dawn as always, Ashli made sure to avoid waking any of her fellow orphans as she got ready for school. "Yes, Mr. Mortimer. I'll make sure that your locket reaches your grave site. You said that it was in a safe at the bank right?" she said, her features never changing. The ghost nodded in reply before vanishing. Once they were satisfied that she would help them, they usually acquiesced to her condition that they be quiet. The workers at the orphanage really couldn't handle having the little children up any more often than they already were.
She picked up her clothes on the way to the bathroom for her shower. Considering it was the first day of school, she decided that her favorite clothes would suffice. It's not like anyone really dressed up anyway, especially no thte orphans. Shrugging the thoughts from her head, she stepped into the hot shower and let it eat away at the tension, slight though it was, in her muscles.
After her delightful shower, she stepped out and began to get dressed. Black jeans, her skull t-shirt, and a white hoodie completed the look she was most known for. By the time she was done, a few of the other kids were getting up and starting to get ready. Without really knowing why, Ashli responded by getting out the skillet and frying up eggs and bacon for breakfast, making enough to feed all of the senior and junior high orphans. The younger kids would be up later and would get breakfast then.
Once she had eaten breakfast, she slipped on her white sneakers, grabbed her bag, and headed out the door to school. The walk was plenty warm, the early morning sun having done it's job quite nicely. The dew sparkled off of the grass and other plants as she passed, giving her a rare sense of admiration for the day. Usually, she took very little notice of such things. They just never really registered with her. Eventually, she spotted someone walking ahead of her, only realizing that it was Kai when she was just a few feet behind him.
In a nice house in the upper class part of town, an alarm clock let out a single beep, indicating it was five in the morning, only to be shut off immediately as Angelina excitedly sprang up and flicked the switch, a smile on her immediately awake face. She began to giggle, wishing she could shout in joy, because today was the day! She sprang from her nicely furnished, queen-sized bed and ran to the adjoined bathroom to get ready for school, excitement coursing through her, for today was the day! By 5:30, the young girl was already dressed, her backpack full of her stuff, and had a breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast big enough for three cooking on the stove as well as coffee getting ready in the pot. Shortly after, her sleepy parents, dressed for their business jobs came down, their sleepy faces lighting up as they looked at the plates of food with coffee already ready waiting for them.
Angelina's father asked, "Wow kiddo, what's the occasion? It's just a Monday, isn't it?"
Angelina shook her head, jumping excitedly before the three of them sat down to eat as she said, "Nope! Well, yeah, it is a Monday, but it isn't any normal Monday! It's been a week since school started, and now the class years can start campaigning! Seniors for president, juniors for VP, sophmores for treasurer, and today, I start my campaign for Freshman class rep!"
Her mother smiled at Angelina's excitement, saying, "Well, I'm sure you'll take the vote sweetie, just like you did at middle school."
Angelina beamed at her mother's words of encouragement before finishing her meal and heading out even though it was only six and school didn't open for another hour, but it took her half an hour to get there and she wanted to get there early. Once there, she wasted no time placing as many signs up on the school grounds, her placement of the signs showing pure strategy as she made sure all the major foot-traffic areas were covered, having taken notes on such things since the first day. With students beginning to arrive and all her signs up, she rushed back out to hand out the fliers with a smile on her face, giving them to students of every year. Even though only freshmen would be voting for her, she new the significance of an upper classman's stamp of approval, so she used every socializing skill she had.
She spotted a fellow freshman approaching the school and smiled, and went to her, saying, "Hey there! Scout, right? My name is Angelina, and I was wondering if you've been giving any thought to who you'd be voting for as Freshman class representative?"
Ren sat, eyes closed and body perfectly poised before the school's piano, long fingers hovering over the yellowed keys. All summer he waited to be in this room again, and once more every day before and after school the pale teen was found here, taking advantage of the instruments and relative silence of the band room. It was his safe harbor, dim and quiet as the sounds of the bustling halls were muffled by the thick walls meant to keep the sound of the instruments in.
Pausing for just a moment longer to glance up at the clock, he counted the minutes to first period then placed his fingers on the smooth keys. Slowly, he pulled note after note from the lacquered wood and brass, forming them into an impromptu song that hardly sounded so, the solemn, longing melody flowing so perfectly it might have been worked on for years. After a few minutes that felt like mere seconds to the teen lost in it's sounds, Ren brought it to an end, closing his eyes again as the last notes echoed through the room. He then reluctantly stood, pulling his messenger bag over one shoulder as he turned towards the exit with a near-silent sigh. Now to face the day.
Pushing the heavy door open, he tried not to flinch. The serene air of the band hall was instantly fractured by a flood of sounds- hundreds of people talking and moving, lockers being opened and slammed shut, laughter, yelling and the intercom blaring an announcement over it all. Immediately his mood fell, his head lowered and his shoulders hunched forward slightly as he visibly curled in on himself in an attempt to block out everything going on. Eyes hardly lifting from the floor, he started to weave through the crowds with a fluid, practiced grace, dodging a group of jocks shoving each other and skirting a group of girls with perfect hair and low cut tops with ease.
Quickly finding his way to his locker, he deftly twisted the dial to unlock it before pulling it open to stow away his lunch and a few other things, as well as organize his bag. As he did, he took the time to study the others around him, stormy eyes covertly roaming over those with lockers near his. First sign of trouble and he would take all his things with him to class. Things had been good so far this year, but he was still cautious, too many bruises and stolen items the year before had made the musician wary at best.
After a few more moments of watching other students, he was winding his way though the halls again, narrowly dodging a group of aggressive teens as he slipped through the door. Finding his way to his desk, he plopped down and pulled out his things, using the last two minutes before the bell to doodle on the back of his notebook and ignore the rest of the room.
Typically, it was Scout's goal to slip into school as quickly and silently as possible so as not to be noticed. Unfortunately, that was not to be as one of the bubbly girls she sort of recognized from one or two of her classes came running up. As usual, a frown crept onto her face while the bubbly girl, Angelina, went on about the upcoming elections. "No, I haven't. I find popularity contests like that pointless," she said curtly, stepping around the girl afterwards. Hopefully she would be able to get to class to prolong her usual bullies, a small group of students who were known to harass a lot of students, especially the smaller ones like herself.
Half of her mission was complete when she arrived at her locker, pulling out her various supplies for her first two classes, as well as her ever-present survival book. The clock in the hallway revealed that she would make it on time to homeroom through her normal route only if she ran. Instead of risking being late though, she decided to try and dart past the bullies, which was by far the shorter route. Luckily for her, another student had decided to try and go by them as well. In other words, he was distracting them against his will. Despite her sympathy, she kept going until she was safely in her desk in homeroom.
