They sell those there?! o_O;;;;
I know there are fried spiders somewhere when I was watching Bizarre Foods, and scorpions, bugs, worms, etc...
...
Well, at least that has successfully put off my appetite again.

Yes, and it was in a relatively central place too in the city. Near where the 冰糖葫芦. sugar coated haws...are sold

Ooh, my parents are making that tomorrow. How'd you have it? I don't really like it either, too squishy for my taste.
It's delicious. :D A lot of people make the weirdest faces at me when I tell them about it.

I don't think I'd mind trying cow cheek, provided it's been cooked properly and seasoned.
Um.,..I don't know how people prepare the cow stomach, probably slow cooked but yeh, just the texture of and the flavours weren't nice.

Yeah, 蚱蜢s are grasshoppers. XD
I don't think I've had cow cheek before. o __o I've seen cow tongues on sale but I haven't had those either. Something about tongues just makes me feel iffy about eating them, I don't eat fish tongue either. >_<;;
Cow stomach's pretty tasty though if cooked right. o wo

I've had duck tongues in Taipei but not cow tongue. or any other tongue.
I think for me cow stomach has a strange texture which I don't like to feel across my mouth as I chew it.

No duck tongues for me either.
It's kinda squishy and chewy. I don't think it's too bad, though I've had some before that tasted awful, like it wasn't fresh or something.

Yeah, you have to make sure it's cow cheek and not mixed. The mixed stuff isn't as good. Has a bit of tongue in there.
Yup, it's slow cooked for a while with lots of spices and these weird little corn pieces.
@ Dan - Try it! It's really good, it's even better with freshly cut tomato, cilantro, and onion. That's how I eat it. ow o
I've tried tongue before in tacos, it was okay. Not my thing, I didn't like the texture.
Have you tried fish tongue though? I haven't, I'm curious.
I just got a PS3, I had no idea you could watch movies from your laptop to it. 8D
I'm watching Back to the Future :'D

That sounds delicious. o ___o;
Our family doesn't buy things like that though, so I don't know if I'll find a chance to eat it. Maybe if I ever see a restaurant selling it...
And nope, haven't tried fish tongue before. I'm a little wary about eating tongues. ^^;;

It is, but it's a bit unhealthy which is why it's only eaten on special occasions. It's even better with a green pepper sauce and lemon juice.
Woo~ Maybe modern toilet sells it.
I never even knew fish tongues were eaten, haha. I don't blame you, who isn't?
Besides Mexicans, they'll have a steaming cow head and serve you from it at the table.

If I weren't still feeling somewhat nauseous every time I think of food, I'd be craving for it from the way you're describing it.
Hahaha I'd eat the forehead and ears and maybe cheek, but aside from that I'm not sure what else I'd want to eat from a cow's head... ;;

 Iku was like No thank you!
Are you sick? :o
I've never tried the forehead or the ears, the ears would probably taste chewy. ow o
Not the tongue! xD
I think the best meat I've ever tried that's a part of a Mexican dish is carnitas. Beats every other meat,beef, steak, turkey, chicken. It's pork, it's so delicious even though I don't really like pork cause of the aftertaste.

Aww D: I hope you feel better!
Nope, I haven't but they sound tasty. I'll ask my mom if she can buy them, I've seen them around the market.
It's so hard finding sushi ingredients here, like nori. It was 19 dollars at the small Asian market and wasabi was around 10 for a small little bottle. DX
@ Ling - Aww, maybe you should eat an awesome snack! :D If it's not to late to eat.

Only a cassava and nothing else? D:

@Elluh: I guess it's a good thing that I hate wasabi and never use it when eating sushi/sashimi...xDD;;

It's definitely not too late to eat, and yes Antagonist, just a piece of cassava, with salt and sugar.

I don't like it either, I thought it was avocado when I first saw it. Bad decision.
Pickled ginger also tastes really gross.
Eat something delicious then, Ling! :3 Unless you're super tired.

Hahaha I hate those ginger too! But my parents love them and keep grabbing them whenever we're out having sushi. I'd just scrunch up my nose and watch them eat plate after plate of it.
