If the first ingredient is "whole grain corn meal" or "chicken or meat by product" then chances are it isn't any good for them. A certain types of dog food can make dogs have diarrhea and changing dog foods often will make them have it as well. > w < Why can't they be like humans and be able to eat a variety of food without having bowel problems?
As for the cat, is he neutered or lazy? I know cats tend to be lazy.. xD

But they're like humans, though. Their hormones go out of whack, which is why they eat more sometimes (or some of them do). Yeah, it's best to start them off with soft foods first. I watched the Animal Planet about that, they use rice cereal? pudding? For pups who need to be slowly adjusted to hard foods rather than just feeding on their mother.
Well, they say chicken is good for them, though. There's ones with oatmeal in it--my mom got that one once because it had ultra vitamins since it was more natural grain but it ended up making our cats sick. I don't know but they should, they're so darn expensive. XD Especially their annual shots! But at least I get a discount bringing in my 2 cats at the same time to get them every year, its 107$? Used to be 80 something once upon a time. At least their tags are free.
We don't have him anymore--his name was Oliver. He was neutered (like all our pets were--female/male--we never bred them). But no, he was rambunctious as hell.

Though, he was also very affectionate and nothing bothered him. He liked sleeping on top of the computer monitors. lol And he and the other cats we used to have slept with the dogs, it was like Lion King. The cats were the pups and the dogs were the parents. XD Or rather, more like Balto. With that Russian Goose and the half dog/wolf Balto.
