I haven't been on in quite awhile. I usually only hung out here with Granny though. I popped on for a very short time towards the beginning of the year but then disapeared again.
I'm going to say part of my excuse is getting obsessed with Oblivion and then the Assassins Creed series games XD The other part of the excuse is work is trying to kill me I think.

Having to deal with crazy customers during the holidays o_o Noway!! I think I would kill someone, or at least hit someone over the head with a very heavy object.

When people start acting very selfish and making a stupid scene in hopes of getting what they want (when prices are clearly marked and qualifications for the deals are spelled out clearly) then I want to hit them over the head.

It's not easy.
But you have to smile and be polite, until you feel like you're going to explode from all the withheld frustrations.
And then keep smiling some more.
Working in retail during the holidays is NOT for the faint of heart.

And I had to sort out everything so every trick or treater got a handful of treats that included one of each kind.

Yeah, well the kids around that neighborhood turned out to be greedy little bastards. Some of them would come in a pack, and try to confuse us by going away after the first handful, and then returning while everyone else was getting theirs, acting like they hadn't gotten any yet.

The sad thing is it was probably the parents that started teaching them that.
The only problem we had was some of the adults came onto the porch with their kids and also took candy. And they did not even make an atltempt to dress up!

Don't even get me started!
Kids are going back to carrying pillow cases, but some kids were coming up like they JUST got out of school, with their backpacks to put the candy in.
All the parents stood at the sidewalk and sent their little 4-yr-olds up all by their lonesome.

I only saw one teen with a pillow case. Though most dressed up there were some that wore their normal everyday clothes withj just a mask. But at least they took the effort for the mask. If too many more kids get lazy with their costumes I think I will find a way to make a big noticable sign that says "No costume = No candy" Maybe you should try that too. I think it would especially work if you got eveyone on you block to also use that sign and rule.

I have no problem with older kids trick or treating as long as they dress up. I figure as long as you are willing to participate fully with the holiday then you are not too old for it. I trick or treated until I was much older but I also put together full, detailed costumes. Two of which where homemade!
I actually still like dressing up for halloween ^_^ My friend and I were ninjas this year. We dressed up and went to an amusement park that was doing halloween events.
Future mother-in-law? Getting married?

My aunt would dress up go out trick or treat, get back to her house and change her costume and go back out. She'd do this two or three times.
