Haha, short and to the point. Thanks for the summary Rad!

Hey Fading *huggles* I still have trouble telling these things apart sometimes since I don't identify with either party. I'm independent, so whoever is the elephant or donkey doesn't matter so much XD

And no, Romney never came out and said any of that stuff. That's sort of summing up things that people running as Republicans have said over the last few months. They've said some awfully stupid things. Romney's running mate, Ryan, was one of them. Romney himself tried to woo women voters, talking about how he got many female members on his staff, but as he was answering that question, he was dodging the actual question on equal pay for women.

I really haven't been following Romney's campaign close enough to give a detailed breakdown on it because I was always planning to vote for Obama. I voted for him the last time around and I voted for him again this time.
Ah. Yeah, I saw a few news on TV after I got back home tonight, so I finally got a bit more idea on what the two of them are about. And from the little bit of stuff I managed to glean off the news, I'd vote for Obama. My dad, though, would probably vote for Romney because he said that Obama's bringing down the economy with his health care project (even if the intention behind it is good). Not that he would've been able to vote either way since he isn't an American citizen.

Cookie is sick today. Had to call out of work with a migraine. Grandma went out into the snow (where did that come from?!) to get me chicken soup and medicine. Dr. Pepper is medicine. It has doctor in the name XD

@Fading - It's more than time we have a good health care system! In places where they already have systems like that in place, in Canada, In Great Britain, etc, they like to post horror stories about us in their newspapers because our healthcare system is so stunningly cruel. Even if it does drag us down for a few years (which I don't think it will, because once we cut spending on unnecessary wars, we'll have money!) I want this! I want everybody to be able to go to the doctors and get well without the threat of going broke or going into debt hanging over their heads. It's not fair that soooooooooo many Americans can't just go to the doctor because they don't have the money to pay for it. Our healthcare system is awful! And even with all the work Obama has put into it and wants to put into it, I don't even think that will get us to where we need to be, but at least he's trying!

She's highly guarded and watched over nearly 24/7.

I have two grandmas and one Grandpa. I've pretty much always had one Grandpa, even when the other one was alive. He ran off on my dad's family long ago and we never ever met him. He didn't exist for us. But one Grandpa was enough for us :D

When Cookie was a little cookielet, she had great grandparents on her dad's side. Great Grandpa died when she was very little and Great Grandma died when Cookie was in her early teens. The absent grandfather died when Cookie was in her teens. But since I'd never met him, it didn't really matter much to me. Though a year later, CookieDad took us on a road trip to California to meet the lady he had lived with and collect some of his belongings. I didn't care so much about the belongings, but we went to Disneyland :D

I never met my great-grandparents.
My maternal grandfather died of a stroke when I was one year old, and my mom was pregnant with my sister at the time, so no one told her, so as to prevent a miscarriage.
My paternal grandmother died a little over four years ago.
That leaves paternal grandfather, and maternal grandmother.
Grandpa is 91 this year, and still living on his own, still driving himself around.
Grandmother has Alzheimers. nuff said.

Both of my maternal Grandparents are 83. I live with them :D

My other grandmother is in her late 70s but you'd think she was older by how she moans and groans about falling apart. Getting medical procedures seems to be her hobby and since she didn't make a lot of money when she worked, her medicare and crap pays for it.

Alternately, my other grandparents are older and sicker, but my grandfather worked for the state and made too much for them to really be taken care of properly -_- So cookie is here and cooks and cleans (not as much as she should) and makes emergency thing runs.

Yeah, my grandmother doesn't have any money to care for her. She lived in Korea until after retirement age, then came over to the US to help care for me and my sister when both my parents had night jobs.

That's a shame. But I am hopeful that helping to fix our healthcare system will iron out some of this stuff as well.

My grandmother just called my brother, who somehow has turned into a massive redneck that was backing Romney. He also sells guns for a living and goes on about how Obama will take his guns away and other ignorant crap. He said that since I voted Obama, I should go on Welfare. What even is that? How does that make any sense! That's as ignorant as that Romney comment. How are we even related.

I have two sets of grandparents, one great grandma (until she passed), and One step-grandma (until she passed).

As well as an unofficial Grandma.

I had unofficial grandparents too :D When my parents moved south (all the family lives in Rhode Island) their neighbors adopted me sort of. So I had a MawMaw and a PawPaw in addition to all the others. PawPaw passed away from cancer quite a few years ago. MawMaw is still going strong. She's in her 90s now.

I got to know my Great Grandparents (well, one set anyways). My Great Grandfather passed when I was in grade 9 (so, 6 years ago now) and my Great Grandmother passed two years ago. I only knew my Grandmother on my Mom's side (I have no contact with my Father, so I didn't know his parents until this summer when I met his Father. Awesome man he is!) and I don't really talk to my Mom's Father as he was never a part of my life. I do have a Step Grandfather, and even though he and my Grandmother are now separated, I am still relatively close to him.

Very complicated. There is a lot of, "We don't talk to this person because they suck" in my family. Half of my family doesn't talk to the other half. But oh well. I don't feel like I'm missing out on not knowing them.

There are a lot of stupid feuds and other crap going on in my family. My uncle was not talking to his sister, my aunt, at the time that she died, all because she suggested he save up and buy a new reliable vehicle instead of some piece of crap creeper van and then being left up shit creek all the time when it broke down. He's an idiot. If I never talk to him again... Also, my dad's family doesn't like my mom's family and my mom's family looks down on my dad's family, and that was before my parents got divorced! Family is so messy.

And referring to Kiako's FB post, I was never a fan of MeeMaw. Just the way it gets pronounced sounds so ignorant. But then Cookie was raised in the South where the accent in general can sound that way ^_^;; I called my Grandmothers Grandma (or Gramma) and Nana respectively. My great grandmother was "Barbie" pronounced "Bobby" which was a mangled bit of Polish for grandmother, Babka.
