That is what I wish some people could understand! Like for example I love the Twilight book series but I hate the fact that everyone makes fun of the fact that the vampires sparkle I am sitting here yelling at them "It's fiction for pete's sake!" It really gets on my nerves why does it matter if she made her vampires nice and sparkly its fiction!

... erm... WHY does this vampire sparkle in Twilight series? Does the author really write the vampire CAN sparkle?
But I understand why other people thinks that way. They were so hardwire to a certain image or stereotype, so anything VERY abnormal would be... well discussed.

Well the reason that these vampires do not go out in direct sunlight is not because it hurts them it is because there skin sparkles likes millions of little diamonds.

my beef with twilight isn't that they sparkle. it's good to come up with your idea of of a magical creature. my Hunters (vampires) don't fit in the sterotype either. I just don't know the story and writing of the Twilight books, that's all.

I see... That is her logic.
hmm... pretty creative, I have to say. ..
Is that why Sims 3 Vampire can sparkle now? In the new Supernatural expansion.

I would guess so because of how big Twilight became I know that I started reading it long before the movies were even thought of I had read most of the books and had learned that they were making a movie about a year before the first movie was even made I am not one of those people who say the movie and had to read the books or just saw the movie and became a fan I actually didn't really care for the movies that much the part 2 of the last one was the most decently made but I did not like how they made the movies i was very disapointed.

I don't get the popularity of Twilight though. *shruggs*
and movies ALWAYS destroy the originals.

I kinda want to watch the movies to laugh at them. they look pretty lame. I read the first two books and really hated the second one. I actually thought from the first book that there was a lot of potential, but it didn't seem that the author took as much advantage of them as she could. I read the books back when they first came out pretty much.
the Wizard of Eathsea movie is much MUCH better than the trilogy. I could never even get past the first book, but the movie is a favorite of mine.

The whole series doesn't deserve it's popularity or it's hate-party. people either love it too much, or hate it too much. but really, it's just an about average series. there are better and there are worse out there. people should stop making a big deal out of it all.

What is it average?
What criteria Dakukuu judge on a fiction?
