Name: Loki Crevan Jolon
Age: 471
Race or species: Fox familiar
Bio:
Loki had been known to a race known as familiars, or more specifically to two fox familiars. He was unique due mainly to his coloring and odd number of tails, and small wings. Most familiar were picked by a variety of beings who were well versed in the ways of magic, and became their guardians at a young age whom they would spend the rest of their lives before either finding a new one or dying themselves for a variety of reasons, with the exception being the colorful fox. Loki had never found his perfect partner, most choosing him only because he looked extremely rare. His first master had wanted to skin him and sell his unique and beautiful soft fur coat, and didn't allow him to venture away from the home so he wouldn't run off. The fox had luckily caught wind of his first master's intent and immediately escaped what would have been his death.
Alone and frightened of the strange new world that had been denied him for so long, he came upon his second master. She was a hunter and collector of rare and beautiful objects, of which she felt Loki would fit right in with. Although she didn't simply cage the fox physically, she certainly did emotionally. She treated him like one of her rare objects and display dolls rather then a living creature, constantly flaunting his rare looks, and forcing him to wear uncomfortable clothing she thought was adorable since she didn't bother to check whether he was male or female, wherever she went and forcing him into a lime light he never wanted. After a few years of such treatment and misery the fox was finally offered a brief opportunity to escape, as she commanded him to stay while she picked out an obnoxious pink dress for him to wear for the day and turned her back, which he quickly took.
Once again alone he wandered for a third time, before finding a third master, a self proclaimed fighting 'expert'. He believed Loki had to be extremely powerful since he looked so different, and while the fox did hold some magical abilities, they were not meant to be forcefully used for entertainment. He was constantly pitted against other creatures in battles, that were usually fixed after his master found out he wasn't an 'experienced enough' fighter, for the amusement of others, and as a get-rich-quick scam for his master. Despite the fox's misery at being forced into battle repeatedly he stayed with the man for a year or so, before an upset better who lost a bit too much money on a fight decided to take revenge. Loki had tried to protect the man but his master, a man who though he could easily take the bloke, ordered him to not interfere. Forced to obey his master's command he watched in horror as the man was killed in front of him almost instantly.
Masterless again Loki fled before his master's assailant could tun his attentions on him. Fearful now of most of the world the fox quietly hid himself away from the sights of any creatures that essentially walked on two legs. He eventually took up a home outside of a town, by a name that he heard travelers constantly refer to as Matalia, holing up in the daytime in some shaded area that he could hide in, and coming out at night to help others while they slept as he couldn't deny his familiar instincts to protect.
Personality: Loki is both a fearful and curious fox familiar with a strong sense to protect. Unfortunately due to the past abuses of others he rarely trusts anything that walks on two legs and is typically uncomfortable in too large of groups. Once he overcomes his initial trust issues and warms up to someone though he's usually very sweet and extremely playful as he's still considered young for his species.
