I was wondering what happened to the Shinigami from the original

yes like all the main characters are they still alive

Everyone in the ANIME is alive. Kira is dead in the manga..like for good. Captain commander is dead in the manga. Shunsui is the new commander. Other then that, everyone is still alive.
