Torii has been friends with Ari since they were children. He was always there for her, though she always was the one to take charge and he was support. His parents were killed in a car crash at the age of ten, devistating him. Ari's family was kind enough to take him into their family, though he felt like he was imposing a lot. He did his best to help out around the house and with whatever they needed. He was always popular, for being friends with Ari, as well as for his own natural qualities. He always had an intrest in animals, often bringing home injured or baby animals in order to help them get on their feet or heal. He had a kind heart and soul, which made him typically take on the role of a big brother for a lot of Ari's life. They two of them grew close, sharing a bond no one else really could understand, and one that would grow as things began to change around them. He enjoyed nature, going for walks often with Ari in the forests on the outskirts of the city. There was an old bridge that Ari used to test her courage and skill on, dispite his warnings. She had trouble listening to him at times.

Ari was thirteen when her luck ran out, and the bridge snapped. Torii did not hesitate, all he could think about was her safety. He jumpped in to rescue her, holding onto her and a large rock. Unfortunatly, this caused him to hit his head and shoulder creating a concussion. He remembers little else about the incident, before waking up in the hospital. He could see the sadness and guilt in Ari, and did all he could to try to reassure her, that it was not her fault. He did not blame her, and the thought of her feeling bad because of what he chose to do made him feel horrible inside. He noticed the change in her after that, she began trying to do her best, refusing to cry or backdown. She began standing up for him more and more, especially with a group of boys who seemed for their own reasons not to like Torii at all. When she came to him weeks later, about her odd ability, he did not judge her. She was still the same Ari he knew and loved, so he did not care about it. He stood by her, as she began attempting to gain control of it. It was around this time, that he began working on a wolf preserve near the outskirts of town as well. He enjoyed being able to help out with the endangered beasts.

One day, he noticed that one of the wolves had vanished, going to look for it. He heard the growls coming from the caves on the preserve, going to investigate without thinking much for his own safety. He remembers a pair of glowing yellow eyes. He then remembers laying on the floor of the cave, unable to think or focus, floating in and out of conciousness. His body burning up, feeling hot and cold as well as sick. He remembers flashes of scenes and people, though not much before hearing Ari scream. He recognized her talking to him that night, able to pull himself back a bit before falling asleep. He woke up the next morning as a human once more, though he could still feel the presence of something ferral inside of him. Ari refused to leave him, staying by his side as he had hers. She cared deeply for him, and he knew that. If it was not for her, he would have been lost from the beginning. Over time, he learned to keep the animal inside at bay, and even to shift between forms and use his abilities. He felt more connected to nature and to Ari then ever. When Ari's parents left, the two of them moved into an appartment. He began balancing school as well as a two jobs. One on the weekdays, and one on the weekends, as well as life outside of it with Ari. He refused to let her take on the added stress of a job. He stands by her, through all of her scheemes and plans, vowing to protect her with his all.

☨ History

Ari has always been strong and fast paced. Growing up, she naturally always took the lead between her and her best friend Torii. The two of them share a deep connection, so when Torii's parents died when he was ten, her family had no trouble taking him in. The two balance eachother out, making a good team. Ari has always been popular, confident and attracting people, though her personality sometimes scares others away. When she was thirteen, she and Torii were at the old bridge in the outskirts of Haven near the forest. He warned her to be carefule, but she did not listen. The bridge gave out, causing her to fall into the rushing water below. Torii wasted no time in jumping in to save her. He caught her, but hit his head hard on a rock in the process, barley able to hold on. She wanted to help so badly, feeling powerless. She did her best to shield him from the water, before a camper noticed the two of them and pulled them out.

She blamed herself for the concussion that Torii suffered, causing him to stay in the hospital for three days. She knew he would not blame her, and he didn't. She vowed to get stronger, even if she did not know how at the time. Days later, she was working on a project for art class, when she needed to get some paint that was on the top shelf. The chair she was on was shaky, getting knocked over she hit the shelf and it leaned forward. She put her arms up to shield herself from the cans and supplies, but it never hit her. She heard the noises, but when she looked, she saw paint sliding down the air around her. She reached out, feeling an invisible force. When it vanished, the paint splattered on the floor. She discovered her ability to create fields, seeing it as a way to protect those she cared about. At first she was unsure about telling anyone, until she decided to tell Torii. He accepted her the way she was, making her very happy. About a month later, Torii vanished after he left to check on a wolf preserve he helped out at.

She was frantic and worried, searching him for days, especially when she began to hear about large wolf sightings and attacks. One man was killed. She was searching, when she heard noises. Turning, she saw something she thought only existed in movies and books. A large werewolf like beast. She ran, but tripped, spraining her ankle. The wolf moved to attack when she screamed and it froze. She looked up at it, and recognized the look in its eyes. Dispite her fear, she spoke to the wolf, staying with it until morning, when she woke up in Torii's arms. She knew then the wolf had been him. She refused to stay away from him, accepting him as he had her. She began helping him learn to control the wolf inside of him, to keep control and to live his life once more. When she was fourteen, her parents were called off on a mission trip to Austrillia. Not wanting to leave home, her and Tori have been living together ever sense. They manage to keep up with school, though Torii refuses to allow her to get a job to help with the small appartment they share. She has always been curious about if there are others like them out there, and about the cause of all of this. She has noticed the presence of the odd people around town, and believes they are up to something.

☨ History

Nothing is known about Xero, he is unable to be found in any database currently, as if his life has been wiped from existance. He gained the name "Xero", after he was discovered, as well as his mysterious connection to the energy. He was labled as infected Zero, giving him his name. The infection itself does not seem to be phasing him the same as others, which begs the question if he has become one with the infection and the energy itself. CRONOS has spent countless efforts and time attempting to apprehend him. He is believed to be crutial in the production of a cure, or destroying all Infected. He is the most wanted infected by CRONOS, but is labled to be brought in alive, which has proven to be most difficult. He continues to evade efforts of CRONOS. He shares a connection with all infected, the earth, and the energy itself.
