I haven't titled the story yet, but I started with this bit in a roleplay, then I took it and elaborated on it in story form. So, I was just wondering if it sounds interesting to anyone here?

"She looked out the window, staring into the vast darkening sky. Streaks of lightning shot down in the sky, not far from the ship, like veins of white light, leaving smoke streams to float through the empty air. It gave her a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, a feeling of doom. The feeling wasn't uncommon when you were living in a constant war, a constant bloody war. She wondered sometimes if it was even worth it. She'd seen so much, more than a young woman in her twenties should ever know. She was broken, left to watch her world crumble in front of her as she fought a war that she knew she would die in."

Does it interest anyone?
