I wasn't actually intending to make this a Star Trek theme, but I watched Star Trek again last night before going to bed so it's still stuck in my head. >>
Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

@Sha
I really had a lot of fun being homeschooled. It also teaches the kids to teach themselves and make sure they get everything done. I was responsible for all of my schoolwork and often assigned myself homework. My professors now are just blown away because I take the initiative to make sure my work is completed and in on time. It's statistically proven that homeschoolers are more prepared for college

Most of the complaints i've heard are that it makes people less socially adept/prepared. Which... i'd figure just means, introduce to more social events. meaning.. i get to go out and do more things like go to the zoo for special tours or something.

Congrats everyone! You all did a fine job. :)
I'm sorry to see you go, Dragon. :( You did what you could in the time you had.
And YES!
I actually don't play Final Fantasy, but Linnea told me avatar looked like a tonberry, so I made it one for her. :)

I plan on homeschooling until around age 14 and then asking my kids (when I have them) if they'd like to try going to high school. They can either stay in high school until they graduate or they can just try it for a year... But I want to instill in my kids an unshakable confidence in themselves and a healthy self-esteem before I send them into public school.

That was something I heard a lot of. In fact, I'm still hearing it. In my public speaking class this past semester, I gave a speech about homeschooling and one of the guys started saying how homeschoolers are socially challenged. It turns out that there were two other girls in my class who had been homeschooled, so all of his arguments were shot down by the three of us. Even the teacher was like "Socially challenged? What? I don't see anything wrong with these three...?" XD
That's why I mentioned the home school groups though. It's a great way to meet kids the same age as your children

This is a great idea! My aunt gave my cousins the same choice, and after touring an expensive private school, my cousins decided to stay homeschooled. When my aunt asked them why they had decided that, their response was the kids that were in the grade they'd be in were so lost and behind them, they felt bad for them. They said those kids weren't anywhere near being ready for the outside world and the teachers just held their hands so to speak and lead them through everything.

I like the poofyness of it. But if i didn't know that's what you were trying for, I may not have known it was a space suit. Love the background though.

I'm interested in finding out what our group's score was. How would one do that?
Also, what do you all think? Opinions?
Maria-Minamino: any advice? :)
