Over fifteen years ago two families met over the board table. The husband work out a merger that should have worked had the business boards of each families companies not turned them down. The wives had seen the chance that they husbands plans would not go through so they made a backup plan. They both were expecting and it was then that they promised the children to each other. They did not know what was to happen in the days to come or they would have never made the bargain. Days before the child was born magic ripped through the world changing the people and animals around the world. Some humans stayed human and some were changed into fantasy races or found they had the gift of magic.

The Yota family moved back into their traditional home in Japan where they kept their son hidden away from all the world as they feared what would be said of him. When he was only thirteen his father was killed and his mother retreated into herself. As he reached his majority his mother remembered the promise so many years ago. Telling him that he had until she found the other family to find someone to merry he set out to find his true love.
