Hey!
So I have a lot of weird and illogical phobias (though I accept the fact that they're illogical, I still have them). Like, just to name a few, I have a phobia of dolls, animatronics, puppets, things of that nature. I have a fear of open high places. Like... I can go up to the top of a sky scraper, but I can't go outside the building. Or on a roller coaster. No coasters for me. I have a fear of looking up. Especially at really tall things. I get this feeling that it's gonna fall on me and kill me. I'm terrified of clowns.
Just to name a few. I have a lot more! So what are some of your illegitimate fears (or legitimate... That works too)? Let us discuss!

I'm afraid of a lot of things!
As for phobias, I have a phobia of all animals. Zoophobia. I'm especially afraid of bugs and dogs.
I like butterflies 'cause they're pretty, but I wouldn't be happy if one got close to me. I could probably make a 50-gold post with all of my bug stories. Winter is the best season ever.
Dogs… I don't like being greeted by being jumped at or rushed at. I've seen too many do that. Even to strangers. *bad memories of close calls while Trick-or-Treating* If I think a dog is coming near me, I'm gone. On a leash? Gone. Not even coming towards me, but just passing by? Gone! I recently discovered most people don't care about being licked by animals. I care a lot. It's a tongue‼ Imagine a stranger on the street runnin' up and lickin' you. That's how I feel.
I can't fathom touching an animal. What if I touch them and they don't like it? Are they gonna bite me? Scratch me? No thank you!
I love cats. I really, really love them. So much. Cats are so cute! I'm too scared to go near them, though! D: I might be the least afraid of cats out of all animals.
I'm also scared of storms. The thunder and lightning ones. Deathly terrified. They make me nervous about the lightning striking and the power. I made a super-post ranting about why I don't like outages elsewhere in this forum.
Fire is really scary, okay? Like, if there is any type of fire in a room, I gradually back away to the other end of the room without realizing it. Candles aren't that bad, but bigger fires… what if they come out? Fire kills! It's not a toy!
The dark makes my imagination run wild. The best thing to do when paranoia strikes in the dark is cover your ears, close your eyes, and snuggle in a blanket somewhere that makes you feel safe.
My oldest sister's afraid of clowns. I'm just like whatever.
I love dolls. My house is full of dolls. There are more dolls in my house than I know about! My momma collects fancy ones, see, and we're a family of three daughters. If I were scared of dolls, I'd have gone clinically insane years ago. You can't get away from them.
I can't do scary movies. No way. Never seen one, never want to. I like dark beauty that isn't necessarily scary. Fantasy is my favorite. I'm squeamish about blood and guts and violence.
I'm… possibly afraid of heights? I don't know if I'm any more afraid of falling from said heights as anyone else would be. My body won't let me put both feet off solid ground. The second foot just doesn't go. Unless I'm jumping, of course. I can't climb.
If anything's going to cause me any level of physical pain or bleeding, I'm instantly put off from it. I'm like, "It hurts? Forget it!" Self-preservation. If I'm gonna get hurt, if it's gonna leave a mark, I run away.
ATTACK OF DE LONG POST OF DOOM.

I think I'll keep my post short. I have two major fears, both illogical. I have a fear of sharks and animatronics. My fear of animatronics has caused me to avoid the main dining area in Chuckie Cheese. Now this one is stupid, because I bought Five Nights are Freddy's to face the fear, and have a good scare.
Now... My fear of sharks on the other hand is extreme. I see a shark in most forms(Only two movies have actually not scared me), and I fear a shark is going to come out of the ground and eat me. Taking a shower after I see a shark, I think my wall is going to break down and I get eaten. Swimming in a pool, Shark is going to materialize. It's so bad, and all started when I lived in California and saw a shark just minding it's own business in the water. Thinking back on it, it wasn't even a shark that we'd have to be scared of, but I was 3 or 4. The only two movies I can sadly stand with sharks is Jaws and Sharknado(Those sharks look horrible. I mean... I can't stop laughing). Anything else... I actually avoided aisle at stores or places I've worked over a shark picture...

I have this ridiculous fear of the dark I can't sleep with the lights off and I can't go outside at night if I'm alone. I feel like the dark is... suffocating.

I'm horrified by cliffs and other fall-to-death sources of falling but I'm not afraid of heights.
I have an irrational fear of being touched.
I have a fear of being late... so much so that sometimes I'll arrive somewhere 1-2 hours early.
Also, I have a fear of medicine, because some medications screw up your immune system really badly.

Yo ochlophobic over here.
It's an odd fear especially for someone in my spot. I'm fairly outgoing and I work with the public, including large crowds of them. I've been to concerts and fairs. But get me in a space where I'm completely surrounded by people I start to shut down. Make that an enclosed space full of people, I'm done for. Full blown panic attack. Even if it's a movie or show with scenes of monumental gatherings (pictures I'm fine with) I get queasy. But if it's a crowd of children, I just feel uneasy, not the absolute fear from taller crowds.

I'm quite a hypochondriac... I don't think that counts as a phobia though? I'm pretty badly scared of insects. I'm okay with dolls as long as they're shut away in some cupboard at night.
I've a phobia of... danger? Unsafety? I'm terribly unsettled even by small troubles, like forgetting a book at school. I'm HAUNTED by any book I misplace. I've a phobia of fear itself actually XD Seriously though it's one of the worst feelings.

I worry that with them being pregnant and getting random cravings they might get a craving for human flesh that's so intense that they act on it.

I want the book too. Just to see how many phobias they could actually emulate correctly. I mean... Some of them would be hard, right?

Unless that book can emulate the suffocating and crushing feeling a room full of people has, I don't think they can replicate ochlophobia.

I used to have arachnophobia really bad when I was a kid. I once got a book about spiders as a school prize and I was so upset and horrified. I refused to look at it for ages. When I was about 10, however, I decided enough was enough. I forced myself to sit down and look carefully at every single picture in that spider book. <shudder> It was not a pleasant experience, but it broke the phobia. I still don't like spiders, and I find some of them utterly repulsive, but I don't run screaming from the room anymore if I see one. I've even gotten quite capable of capturing them and taking them outside.
Oddly, I've never been afraid of daddy long-legs spiders. Probably because my house was always full of them, and I knew they weren't going to bother me. Also the movie Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves had a nice daddy long-legs in it, which made me kinda like them (so long as they stay in that corner of the ceiling).
My other primary fear thing, I think it's a legit fear although maybe I take it to phobic levels, but I am constantly afraid of being assaulted. I learned about that kind of stuff when I was way too young and have been terrified of it happening to me ever since. I have been plagued by anxious fear fantasies whenever I go out alone for most of my life. They got really bad when I was living in the city for college, and they've subsided somewhat since I moved back home to the country. Things like catcalling will cause a flare-up though; I'll be totally fine one minute, and then a strange will say something off-color to me and then I'm in a heightened state of anxiety, anger and fear. Totally, totally sucks.
