[Personality] Akari is a dominant person. There are times when he is insensitive, making callous remarks such as, "What's wrong with telling the truth? If you don't like it, then improve things!" He is mainly a man with a business-like demeanor. Akari is the very definition of an workaholic most of the time, often always busy with something. He rarely takes breaks, even if he is woken up at an ungodly hour, he'll get up and is still professional and fastidious. Akari is a rather irritable person, high-strung and doesn't like to joke around which is related to his professionalism. He is one to get annoyed easily, depending on how people approach him. Although Akari is a doctor and isn't supposed to develop feelings for anything or anyone, he greatly feels responsible for his patients and for the lives and well-being of other people and animals. Akari is usually a very straightforward man, but he can be just as manipulative and sly if he desires to be.

He holds himself accountable for many lives, and is willing to break rules if he needs to. Akari is oblivious to people watching him when he works, typically so focused on everything he does, that sometimes he puts himself in danger. He is bold and blunt, often speaking his mind dispite what others may feel about it. He is honest to a fault most of the time about things, but can be quiet or silent about others. He is reserved in himself, often not one to really think about or speak about himself. He is a modest man, one who places others before himself on most occasions. His warmer side is rare, reserved for those who manage to get close to him. He can be warm and kind when he desires to be, though he is not good at voicing his own personal feelings. He often times can be one to get frustrated at himself because of this, unable to put his own feelings out there correctly, and yet he can say just about anything else easily. He is smart and intellectual, he has a vast array of knowledge, due to his schooling and training throughout life.

He can be seen as cold and unapproachable, some viewing him as intimidating and rough due to his professional and intense personality. He is actually a very good listener, and excellent at advice, though he is not above telling someone they are being foolish or to get over it. He tries to control his mouth, trying to put his words into a less callous way, though they do not always work out. Dispite his powerful personality, those who know him know he is a good man with a good heart. He easily attracts people, dispite his personality, people often feeling drawn to him dispite the fear of getting yelled at or something from him. He can be quiet at times, especially when he gets lost in thought..which is often. He becomes oblivious to things, as like when he is working. Some find this aspect of him cute. He is a good man at heart, placing others above himself, he sees himself as a tool to help people and he truly does love it. A lot about him is a mystery, since he does not easily let others inside or to his heart.

He does have a seductive side as well, even though it is rare. He knows how to take command and control, and how to use his body and his looks if need be. He is often gentle and romantic, but can be rough as well, due to his more dominant personality. He is a take charge man, and is one to enjoy at times making others squirm, and seeing what makes them tick. He does have a playful side in this nature, though few get to see it. Even though he is all work, does not make him no play at all. Even though it is rare, he does at times seek the companionship of others. Though he is often not one to get attached as mentioned, he is not interested in being the one to always chase others, or to have to be the bad guy for people.

[Biography] Akari was born to a typical family. A mother, father, and a brother who was eight years old at the time. From a young age, he and his brother bonded. He used to follow his older brother around when he was younger, with his elder brother not seeming to mind at all. They rarely ever fought growing up. Akari showed a strong curiosity for the world growing up. He seemed to always love to learn and discover, to find out what made things tick. As he entered school, he excelled quickly there as well, to where by the age of fifteen he had already graduated highschool. Many always said he could have done it sooner, but his parents wanted him to try and enjoy his childhood as well. By this time, his brother was in his twenties, with a six year old boy. He had recieved his nephew when his brother was seventeen, Akari quickly taking to the boy, even though he did not give much away. By this time, his personality had begun to take a more serious turn, he was more content to spend his time studying. He was asked by his brother if he had an intrest in children one day himself, but he was undecided. By the age of seventeen, Akari himself began taking college classes, beginning a road to becoming a doctor.

His skills in the field showed, and once more he quickly moved along. At the age of eitheen, their parents passed away in an accident, leaving the two boys on their own. By the age of ninteen, he was already working within a hospital, fully certified and quallified as a doctor and a surgeon. However, things took a turn here for him. Akari had been friends with a man, who had chosen a darker path for himself. It is unsure what fully happened, but Akari became mixed in with the mob/mafia. Although he took no part in any criminal acts, he did help patch up people on more than one occassion. His brother became suspicious and approached him about it. The two got into their first major fight of their lives, as Akari denied any criminal involvement, but his brother worried that he was not telling the truth. A rift was created between the two, and Akari saw his nephew less as he took to living on his own and became slightly secluded from his family. This did not help his brother's fears, the two began a series of fights and confrentations where his brother would try to convince him to get help and get out. Akari knew things were getting worse, but his stubborn personality and something more had risen within him.

Akari's brother saw him slipping into a darker place, one where he seemed to begin to care less and less about himself. When he would ask though, Akari would not open up to him any longer. Much of this point within his life is a mystery, one he has locked away. However, when Akari was twenty four, he was supposed to have a meeting with a the group he was involved with. He got held up at work, but somehow his brother had caught wind of where he was supposed to go. Akari showed up to late, his brother had been murdered, under the suspicion he was a spy or a cop. Angered, Akari refused to work for the friend any longer, daring him to try anything. Out of last respects for their friendship, Akari was left to his own. He arranged all of the expenses to take care of the funeral, but there was a question now. At the age of fifteen, his nephew would have to be placed in foster care, and since he was older, they did not believe he would be adopted before he turned eighteen and left the system. Feeling horribly guilty and responsible, Akari took on the right of his nephew's legal guardian. At first though, after his brother's death, their relationship was shattered. He could not bring himself to look at his nephew, let along talk much or be around him. He poored himself into his work, and became oblivious to the world around him.

Trouble once more broke when at the age of seventeen, his nephew got hurt, resulting in him being admitted to the hospital. The nephew told Akari he did not want to burden him anymore, that it was clear Akari did not want him around, he only wanted the other happy. Akari felt even more guilty and depressed at this, but at the same time it helped to snap him out of the rut he had been in. He promised his nephew things would change, get better, that they would be a family. Since then, the two of them began spending more time together and getting closer. Akari accepted his past for the most part, refusing any longer to let it define his future. He is not made of stone however, and as he has been healing, there are times he still has trouble.

Chu is still in development, though he is an amputee, his left leg just above the knee along with his right arm were lost after a car accident, and he has since then been putting his robotics interest to use on making new limbs that would look and act more like a real one.
I also figured he could work in the physical therapy department having gone into that path to help others like him who have lost limbs.

so beyond working in the same hospital how should they be placed together...since he is a surgeon he could have to deal with a few of the patients Chu would have to interact with.
