The Ward

The Ward (film) wikipedia link

Plot:

Quote:

In rural Oregon, at the North Bend Psychiatric Hospital in 1966, a young patient named Tammy is attacked and killed by an unseen force during the night.

Kristen (Amber Heard), a troubled young woman, sets fire to an abandoned farmhouse and shortly arrested therafter. The local police take her to North Bend where she meets the other patients in the ward: Iris (Lyndsy Fonseca), Sarah (Danielle Panabaker), Emily (Mamie Gummer), and Zoey (Laura Leigh). Kristen is taken to the room which was previously Tammy's and meets her therapist, Dr. Stringer (Jared Harris). She is unable to recall anything about her past. Later, she awakens in the middle of the night and sees a horribly disfigured figure staring at her. While she is with Iris and Emily, Kristen sees two people looking at her from Dr. Stringer's office, but the girls give no clue as to who they are. While taking a shower, Kristen is attacked by the disfigured figure, but upon telling the nurse this, she is drugged and put through intense electroshock therapy. During a session with Dr. Stringer, Iris mentions Tammy but is then immediately halted by the doctor.

In a therapy session, Dr. Stringer uses hypnotherapy to unlock Iris' hidden memories. After the session, Iris is killed by the disfigured figure. Kristen tries to discover what happened to her friend. In Iris's sketchbook, she finds a sketch of the figure that had attacked her, with the name Alice Hudson written on top. (Alice was a patient at the hospital.) That night, despite Sarah and Zoey's warning that it is nearly impossible to leave, Kristen and Emily attempt to find Iris and escape. However, the alarm is triggered. Kristen is thwarted by Alice's ghost and is rendered unconscious. She reawakens in her room, and it is revealed that Emily was caught.

On her way to an appointment with Dr. Stringer, Sarah flirts with a nurse but is rejected. She goes to the other girls and asks Kristen what happened to her plan and also seemingly gives her a clue that they did not find Iris because they were "not looking into the right places." After bickering with Emily, she is electrocuted and killed by Alice's ghost. Kristen notices Sarah is missing. She learns that Zoey's doll formerly belonged to Alice, so she forces Zoey to tell her what is happening. She finds out that all of the girls had killed Alice, led by Tammy, because Alice constantly hurt them. Now the ghost is after them for revenge. Emily attempts to commit suicide, thinking she is doomed. Kristen attempts to stop her, but Alice's ghost appears again and kills Emily by slashing her throat. Kristen plans a last attempt to escape by holding Zoey as a pretend hostage. Their attempt is thwarted by Roy. She is drugged and placed in a straitjacket. However, she manages to escape and takes Zoey with her to try and escape again. Zoey is captured by the ghost and killed off-screen. After a lengthly chase around the hospital, Kristen manages to kill the ghost. Finding Dr Stringer's office, she finds Alice Hudson's patient file, which details her treatments and each one of the girl's names, including Kristen herself.

Dr. Stringer, catching Kristen in his office, then reveals that Kristen is actually one of many split personalities of the real Alice Hudson. Its also revealed that Alice was kidnapped as a young child and sexually abused by an unknown assailant eight years previous. Alice was left chained up for two months in the basement of the same farmhouse "Kristen" had burned down; in order to survive the trauma, her mind began to suffer from multiple personality disorder, creating each one of the girls from the Ward as a different personality. Over time, Alice's own personality became so overwhelmed by that of the others that she became lost. Dr. Stringer attempted experimental techniques to bring back Alice's own personality back to reality, resulting in the manifestation of a "ghost" that was killing all of the other girls. He explains that her treatments were working until "Kristen" appeared, yet another invention of Alice's mind to protect itself from reliving the trauma back at the farmhouse. After this revelation, Alice's ghost appears and throws herself and "Kristen" out of the window, reawakening Alice.

Alice's parents, whom she had seen earlier in Dr. Stringer's office, come to take her home because she is finally fully treated. After gathering her belongings, Alice takes one last look around her room. Upon opening her cabinet, "Kristen" suddenly comes out and attacks her, and the camera cuts to black.

Sybil

The Wikipedia Link

Plot

Quote:

Sybil is a shy, unassuming substitute grade school teacher. After suffering a small breakdown in front of her students, she is given a neurological examination by Dr. Cornelia Wilbur, a psychiatrist. Sybil admits to having blackouts and fears they are getting worse. Dr. Wilbur theorizes that the incidents are a kind of hysteria, all related to a deeper problem. She asks Sybil to return at a later date for more counseling.

Later that evening, Dr. Wilbur receives a late night call from someone who identifies herself as Vickie and says Sybil is about to jump out a hotel window. Dr. Wilbur rescues Sybil, who denies knowing Vickie. Suddenly Sybil becomes hysterical and begins speaking like a little girl. This little girl introduces herself as Peggy, and Wilbur realizes that Sybil is suffering from what was then referred to as multiple personality disorder (more commonly known then as "split personality"), and is now called dissociative identity disorder.

Vickie introduces herself to Wilbur at the next session. Vickie, who knows everything about the other personalities, tells Wilbur about some of them, including Marsha, who is suicidal and wants to kill Sybil, and Vanessa, who plays the piano although Sybil never learned.

Over the weeks, each of the personalities introduce themselves to Wilbur. At the same time, the personality Vanessa falls in love with a charming neighbor named Richard.

Wilbur finally explains to Sybil about the other personalities. As proof, Wilbur plays the session's tape to allow Sybil to hear their voices, but when a voice that sounds like Sybil's mother Hattie speaks, an infant personality named Ruthie emerges. Wilbur is unable to communicate with the pre-verbal child and must wait until Sybil returns.

Life becomes more chaotic for Sybil as the other personalities grow stronger. The personalities make Dr. Wilbur a Christmas card, but Sybil made everything purple, a color that frightens Peggy. Dr. Wilbur hypnotizes Vickie and asks about the purple. Vickie relates a memory of a time Sybil's mother locked young Sybil in the wheat bin in the barn. Thinking she was smothering, Sybil used her purple crayon to scratch on the inside of the bin so someone would know she had been there.

Vanessa invites Richard and his son Matthew to have Christmas dinner, after which Richard spends the night in Sybil's apartment. Sybil has a nightmare and awakens as Marsha, who tries to throw herself off the roof. Richard rescues her and calls Wilbur. Soon afterwards, Richard moves away, crushing both Sybil and Vanessa. Once again confronted with her diagnosis, Sybil attempts to convince Wilbur that she has in fact been faking all of the other personalities the entire time and denies that multiple personalities exist within her.

Wilbur goes in search of Sybil's father, who mentions that Sybil's mother Hattie was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, but denies that she ever abused Sybil. Wilbur also seeks out Sybil's pediatrician. The doctor gives Wilbur a frightening account of extensive scarring he found while treating Sybil for a bladder problem. Finally, Wilbur visits the old Dorsett house, where she discovers the green kitchen Sybil's selves have described many times. She also finds the purple crayon scratches inside the wheat bin. She takes them back to New York City to prove all the memories really happened.

Dr. Wilbur takes Sybil for a drive, during which Peggy spills out the horrific abuse she suffered at her mother's hands. After Peggy exhausts herself, Sybil emerges, remembering everything that Peggy has just said. Finally she is able to express her rage against her mother.

Dr. Wilbur hypnotizes Sybil to introduce her to the other personalities. Sybil, who has always been frightened of Peggy, meets her at last and is surprised that she is only a little girl. Sybil embraces a weeping Peggy. A voiceover from Dr. Wilbur explains that after this incident, Sybil recovered her memories and went on to live a full and happy life.

Sybil's personalities

Quote:

Female Personalities

Peggy: A nine-year-old girl who believes she is still in the small town in which Sybil grew up. Peggy holds the rage Sybil felt at her mother's abuse and and frequently expresses her anger through temper tantrums and breaking glass. Like many of the selves, she enjoys drawing and painting. She fears hands, dishtowels, music, and the colors green and purple, all triggers to specific instances of abuse.

Vicky: a very sophisticated and mature twelve-year-old girl who is aware of all the other personalities and knows everything the others do, though Sybil is not. Vicky speaks French and claims to have grown up in Paris with many brothers and sisters and loving parents.

Vanessa: A young, vibrant redhaired girl about twelve years old, she is outgoing and full of "joie de vivre". Plays the piano well, although Sybil claims to have never learned. Falls in love with Richard and helps Sybil build a relationship with him.

Marsha: a young girl obsessed with thoughts of death and suicide, who tries to kill herself (and thus Sybil) on several occasions. Dresses in black.

Ruthie: A preverbal infant. When Sybil is extremely frightened, she regresses into Ruthie and cannot move or speak.

Mary: named for and strongly resembles Sybil's grandmother. When Sybil's grandmother, the only person Sybil felt loved her, died, Sybil was so bereft that she created Mary as an internalized version of Grandma. Mary speaks in the voice of an old woman and frequently behaves as one.

Nancy: A product of Sybil's fathers's religious fanaticism, Nancy fears the end of the world and God's punishment.

Clara: Around 8–9 years old. No info given.

Helen: Around 13–14 years old. No info given.

Margie: Around 10–11 years old. No info given.

Sybil Ann: Around 5–6 years old. Very shy.

Male Personalities

Mike: A brash young boy who likes to build and do carpentry. He builds bookshelves and a partition wall for Sybil's apartment, frightening her badly when she doesn't know how they got there. He and Sid both believe that they will grow penises and be able "to give a girl a baby" when they're older.

Sid: Younger and a little more taciturn than Mike, he also enjoys building things, as well as sports. Identifies strongly with Sybil's father and wants to be like him when he grows up.

this was by far my most favorite movie, not the abuse part but the fact that its about a women taking on a case when everyone told her it was a hoax, and not real, and managing to HELP that women. and in a time when women weren't commonly anything but nurses.

Me, Myself & Irene

The Wikipedia Link

Plot:

Quote:

A narrator (Rex Allen, Jr.) introduces Charlie Baileygates (Jim Carrey), an 18-year veteran Rhode Island State Police trooper who has been taken advantage of by people throughout most of his life.

Immediately after marriage, his wife, Layla (Traylor Howard), cheats on him with a dwarf African-American limousine driver named Shonté (Tony Cox), who, like Layla, is a member of the high-IQ group Mensa. Charlie's friends try informing him of his wife's infidelity, but he denies the possibility. One year later, Layla runs off with Shonté, leaving Charlie to raise three biracial sons who are the products of Layla's adulterous affair with the limo driver (and one of whom is actually named Shonté, Jr.).

Charlie never sees his wife again. He raises his illegitimate triplets (Anthony Anderson, Jerod Mixon, Mongo Brownlee) allowing them to watch Richard Pryor stand-up and feast on sweets. Two of the three become obese, and all are foul-mouthed young adults, but they are also highly intelligent (like their biological parents) and they treat Charlie with much more kindness and respect than anyone else does.

His wife's affair and abandonment leaves Charlie so emotionally damaged that he lets himself be abused and taken advantage of by others. Despite his friendliness and his being a police officer, the townspeople reject Charlie's authority with open scorn.

After years of continuous abuse, Charlie develops a rude and violent split personality named Hank, caused by "advanced delusionary schizophrenia with involuntary narcissistic rage". As Hank, he goes around retaliating against anyone who has accosted him — and even harms those who really haven't. A psychiatrist prescribes a medicine to keep Hank suppressed.

Believing that Charlie needs a vacation, his commanding officer (Robert Forster) orders him to escort a woman named Irene Waters (Renée Zellweger) from Rhode Island to Massena, New York, because she reportedly committed a hit-and-run. Irene insists the hit-and-run accusation was created by Dickie, her mob-connected ex-boyfriend, and by corrupt police officers in his employ to no avail.

On the road to Massena, Charlie and Irene make a stop at a motel when hitmen arrive with a contract on Irene's life. Charlie agrees to help her escape after saving her from the men. A United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) agent is killed by the hitmen. Charlie accidentally leaves his medicine behind, allowing his alter ego, Hank, to resurface when the medicine wears off. The FBI suspects that Charlie is responsible for the murder of the EPA agent. FBI agents begin pursuing him and Irene, as does a crooked law enforcement lieutenant (Chris Cooper).

Along the way, Irene and Charlie develop a bond. However, Hank's random appearances both disgust and frighten Irene. Hank's aggression and resourcefulness aid in their survival, but Irene finds herself attracted to Charlie. After breaking down at a restaurant out of guilt when he realizes his actions hurt others Hank tells her about Charlie's life, and how years of humiliation have destroyed Charlie's confidence.

Hank has plastic surgery performed on Charlie's face some time along the way back, which shocks Charlie when he comes to. Casper also going by Whitey (Michael Bowman), the mysterious young albino waiter from the restaurant who Hank insulted earlier has tagged along on their journey. Later that night, Charlie attempts conversation with Whitey until he calmly recounts the story of how he brutally murdered his entire family with a hammer. Charlie, unsettled by Whitey's story goes over to Irene's motel room where they have an intimate conversation.

Charlie leaves the room momentarily to buy sodas, where a man jeers him when the vending machine fails to dispense his drinks after paying for them twice. Charlie returns to the room, confessing to Irene that he may have the ability to repress Hank. However, the next morning Charlie finds out that Hank, in the guise of the mild-mannered Charlie had sex with Irene. The corrupt officers Boshane (Richard Jenkins) and Gerke surround the motel outside but fail to apprehend them at the motel when Charlie's sons set up a ruse which diverts the officers attention and steal their escorting officers' helicopter.

Dickie is called in to settle the matter himself and boards the same train Charlie and Irene take back to Rhode Island. After a struggle on board the train, Dickie kidnaps Irene while Charlie battles himself as Hank for control before eventually calling a truce to save Irene. When Charlie arrives to a wooden bridge where Irene is, he attempts to talk down Dickie but has his thumb shot when trying to take his gun away. Charlie is aided by Whitey, who reappears to throw a lawn dart into Dickie's back, killing him.

Dickie and Irene fall in the water. Charlie attempts to save Irene, but struggles to stay afloat. Jamal, Lee Harvey, and Shonte Jr arrive to rescue them in the stolen helicopter. Charlie apologizes to Whitey for making him kill again, but Whitey explains that he made up the story about being a murderer in order to seem cool to Hank, and that his family now lives in Arizona. The Rhode Island State Police were made aware of the reason Irene was being hunted for and congratulate Charlie for bringing the corrupt Berke to justice. Whitey notices Charlie's bandages soaked and peeling, upon tearing it off, he notices his chin has been modified into a cleft chin that resembles an anus by Hank to the amusement of Charlie and his sons.

With Hank gone, and Dickie's crew dead or behind bars, Irene is finally free to return to her old life. She drives away, but the Rhode Island State Police pull her over. The arrest is a set-up, giving Charlie a chance to propose marriage. Irene accepts, much to the delight of Charlie's sons and Whitey, who watch from a plane carrying a banner with the proposal.

A post-credits scene shows Charlie, his sons, Lee Harvey, Shonte Jr., Irene, Jamal and Whitey looking for Charlie's thumb in the river; however, Whitey sees it get eaten by a largemouth bass underwater.

Demon Knight

The Wikipedia: Link

Quote:

Demon Knight (also known as Tales from the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight) is a 1995 horror film directed by Ernest Dickerson, starring Billy Zane, William Sadler, and Jada Pinkett Smith. Brenda Bakke, CCH Pounder, Dick Miller, and Thomas Haden Church co-star.

Demon Knight is a feature-length film presented by the HBO series Tales from the Crypt, and features scenes with the Crypt Keeper (voiced by John Kassir, as in the series) at the beginning and end of the film. The film was followed by Bordello of Blood; although it is not a direct sequel, the key artifact from this film makes an appearance.
Plot:

Quote:

Prologue

On a film set, The Crypt Keeper is attempting to direct an installment of the television show despite his disapproval of the lead actor's talent. Upon becoming aware of the viewer, he proffers his latest project, which he hopes will get him into Hollywood: Demon Knight. The story begins.

Story:

On a New Mexico desert road, a drifter named Frank Brayker (William Sadler) is in a chase with a pursuer called the Collector. The vehicles crash and Brayker flees and meets the local drunk, Uncle Willy. Willy takes him to a decommissioned church that now serves as a boarding house for most of the townsfolk. He rents a room and observes the residents: owner Irene, prostitute Cordelia, postal clerk Wally, and an itinerant convict on work release named Jeryline. A misogynistic cook named Roach arrives and informs the group about a theft attempt on his employer's car, unaware it was Brayker, and a suspicious Irene calls the sheriff. Sheriff Tupper and his deputy Bob encounter the Collector, who convinces them that Brayker is a dangerous thief and they set out after him following Irene's call. At the boarding house, Tupper and Bob learn that both cars were stolen and arrest Brayker and the Collector, but the Collector kills Tupper by punching through his skull. Driven outside by a key-like artifact Brayker possesses, the Collector draws his own blood on the sand, and produces an army of demonic creatures.

Brayker uses blood from the artifact to create seals on the doors and windows, keeping the creatures out, and tells the group they must wait out the night. Unable to get in, the Collector uses psychic powers to seduce Cordelia and possess her. Cordelia kills Wally and cripples Irene before Brayker kills her. The group attempts to escape through old mine tunnels under the building where Jeryline finds young comic lover Danny hiding, but the other townsfolk, under demonic possession, drive them back into the church and upstairs until the seal on the landing stops them. The residents demand an explanation and Brayker reluctantly tells them the history of the key. Following the creation of Earth by God, there were demons in the darkness who used seven keys for focus the power of the cosmos into their hands. When discovered, God created light that scattered the demons and the keys across the universe. The artifact that Brayker holds is the last key they need to reclaim power, and to protect it God had a thief named Sirach fill the artifact with the blood of Jesus Christ at the crucifixion, which is what creates the seals that repel the demons and prevents them from touching it. The guardians of the key, immortal while holding it, have since been passing it on, refilling it with their own blood when they die; Brayker received the key from his superior officer during World War I. Danny disappears and Jeryline rallies everyone to look for him, during which Roach sneaks the key out of Brayker's satchel.

In the attic, Irene and Bob discover that Wally was planning to attack the post office with a trunk full of weapons that includes a suicide grenade vest. The Collector possesses Uncle Willy, who attacks the others. While battling Willy, Roach makes a deal with the Collector to trade his life for the key, but the Collector betrays him and kills him after Roach removes the seal. Brayker retrieves the key in the battle and Irene and Bob sacrifice themselves with the grenade vest, killing all the remaining minions. In the attic, the Collector brainwashes Danny who mortally wounds Brayker before Jeryline kills him. With his last strength, Brayker initiates Jeryline as a guardian of the key and then dies, deactivating all blood seals. The Collector and Jeryline engage in a confrontation at the climax of which Jeryline spits blood from the key in his face, causing the Collector to transform into a large demon before being destroyed.

At dawn, Jeryline refills the key with Brayker's blood and boards a bus with her cat, sealing the door behind them. Down the road the bus stops to pick up a stranger who declines to get on. Dressed identically to his predecessor and carrying the same suitcase, Jeryline realizes that he is the next Collector. After exchanging a glance in passing, the new Collector begins following on foot, whistling the theme song to the Tales from the Crypt television series.

Epilogue

The Crypt Keeper is preparing for the premiere of his film. He informs the viewer that Jeryline lives happily ever after and is enjoying traveling the world. Once he arrives at the lavish premiere, the producers reveal their powers of "final cut" and snare him in a guillotine and decapitate him, much to his delight.

Deep Blue Sea (1999 film)

Wikipedia Link

Plot

Quote:

At Aquatica, a remote former submarine refueling facility converted into a laboratory, a team of scientists is searching for a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Unknown to the other scientists, Dr. Susan McAlester (Saffron Burrows) violates a code of ethics and genetically engineers three Mako sharks to increase their brain capacity so their brain tissue can be harvested as a cure for Alzheimer's, but this causes the side effects to make the sharks smarter, faster, and more dangerous.

After one of the sharks escapes and attacks a boat full of teenagers, Aquatica's financial backers send corporate executive Russell Franklin (Samuel L Jackson) to investigate the facility. To prove that the research is working, the team manages to remove brain tissue from the largest shark. While examining it, Dr. Jim Whitlock (Stellan Skarsgard), one of the researchers, is attacked by the shark and his arm is bitten off. Brenda Kerns (Aida Turturro), the tower's operator, calls a helicopter to evacuate Jim but a strong hurricane causes the helicopter to lose control and crash into the tower, killing Brenda and the pilots. One of the sharks uses Jim's body as a battering ram to smash an underwater window, flooding the research facility and freeing the other sharks. Susan then confesses to the others that she genetically altered the sharks.

Susan, Russell, Carter Blake (Thomas Jane), Janice Higgins (Jacqueline McKenzie) and Tom Scoggins (Michael Rapaport) make their way to the top of the center. While delivering a dramatic speech emphasizing the need for group unity, Russell is dragged into the water by the largest shark and devoured. While climbing up the industrial elevator, a ladder falls and gets wedged between the walls of the shaft, leaving them dangling over the water. Janice loses her grip and falls, and despite Carter's attempts to save her, she is devoured. Meanwhile, the cook, Sherman "Preacher" Dudley (LL Cool J) is attacked by the first shark, but manages to blow it up by throwing a lighter into the kitchen's oven that had been turned on. He then runs into Carter, Tom and Susan.

Traumatized by Janice and Russell's deaths, Tom goes with Carter to the flooded lab because the controls to open a door to the surface are in the lab. The largest shark attacks them and Tom is devoured. Susan heads into a room to collect her research. The second shark follows and almost eats her but she manages to electrocute it with a power cable, killing it instantly, though at the cost of destroying her research in the process. Carter, Susan and Preacher go to the top of the research center through a decompression chamber and swim to the surface. Preacher is caught by the third shark and is dragged through the water, but swims to safety after stabbing the shark in the eye with his crucifix, forcing it to release him.

Carter then realizes that the third shark is trying to escape to the open sea, and that the sharks had made them inadvertently flood the facility so that they could escape through the weaker mesh fences at the surface. Susan, in an effort to distract the third and final shark, cuts herself and dives into the water. When she attempts to climb out, the ladder breaks, and she is devoured by the shark. Carter at this point had dived in to try and save her but was too late. Managing to dodge the shark's attack and grab hold of its fin, he is pulled through the water with it. Preacher, despite his injuries, grabs hold of the harpoon and shoots the shark through its dorsal fin but the spear also goes through Carter's thigh. As the shark breaks through the fence, Carter is still attached to the shark by the harpoon and tells Preacher to connect the trailing wire to a car battery, sending an electric current through the wire and to the explosive charge in the harpoon, blowing up the final shark in a spectacular fashion. It is revealed that Carter managed to free himself in time and he swims to the wreckage of the facility and joins Preacher in time to see the workers' boat en-route on the horizon.

Frozen (2010 American film)

Wikipedia Link

Plot

Quote:

Childhood friends Dan Walker (Kevin Zegers) and Joe Lynch (Shawn Ashmore) along with Dan's girlfriend Parker O'Neill (Emma Bell) spend a Sunday afternoon at a New England ski resort on Mount Holliston. They are eager to take one last run down the mountain before they go home; however, the ski resort decides to close early because a storm is moving in.

The friends convince the ski lift attendant to let them on one last time. Before the group gets all the way to the top, the attendant is called into the boss's office and is replaced by a co-worker. As he leaves, he tells the co-worker that there are only three skiers left. Another set of three skiers comes down the mountain. When he sees them, he shuts down the ski lift, stranding the three central characters in their ski lift chair far above the ground.

Parker knows the ski slopes have closed for the week. Dan feels he has no choice but to jump from the ski lift chair and get help, as they will not survive up there in the bitter cold until Friday.

Dan jumps off the lift and suffers a compound fracture in both legs. Soon, his screams and the scent of blood attracts a wolf. Joe, now fearing for Dan's safety, decides to try and get to the ground by traversing the cable. However, as wolves close in on Dan, he returns to the chair and holds Parker as Dan is torn apart by the wolves.

The following day, Joe traverses the ski lift cable, and this time safely climbs down the ladder of a support pole. By doing this he also causes the chair Parker is sitting in to dangerously loosen from the cable. After fighting off a pair of wolves by using a ski pole, he slides down the mountain on Parker's snowboard, planning to return with help for her. The wolves chase after him. Joe never returns, and Parker has to spend the night on the lift alone.

Parker begins to try and jump down herself, but the weakened lift falls, injuring her ankle. She then slides and crawls down the mountain, coming across Joe's mangled remains and the wolves as well. Too occupied with Joe's corpse, they ignore her as she slides on, eventually coming to a nearby road.

A car soon appears and the driver stops to assist her. The film ends with Parker's eyes closing as she hears the driver telling her in Dan's voice, "You're gonna be okay, baby. You're gonna be okay."

Plot

Quote:

In the remote forest of West Virginia, Halley Smith (Yvonne Gaudry) and Rich Stoker (Joel Harris) are rock climbing in a cliff. As Rich prepares to help Halley, she witnesses his sudden murder. Someone begins to pull Halley up the cliff so she cuts the rope and falls to the ground. Halley then attempts to escape to her car but trips over a piece of barbed wire before being pulled back into the woods, screaming, by one of the three cannibalistic mutant mountain men.

Medical student Chris Flynn (Desmond Harrington) drives through the mountains of West Virginia. A chemical spill in the road ahead forces him to take a different route. He stops at a rundown gas station and meets an old man (Wayne Robson). The old man is not helpful, but Chris sees a map detailing another route heading to his destination. Chris decides to take the road, but on his way, he collides with a Range Rover stopped in the middle of the road. The car belongs to a group of friends on a hiking trip: Jessie Burlingame (Eliza Dushku), Carly (Emmanuelle Chriqui), her fiancé Scott (Jeremy Sisto), and a couple, Evan and Francine (Kevin Zegers and Lindy Booth). Their tires have been punctured by a piece of barbed wire.

Evan and Francine stay to watch the cars as the others go to find help. Evan goes to the woods to investigate a strange noise. After a while, Francine goes into the woods to look for him. She finds only his sneaker and his severed ear before she is killed with a strip of barbed wire by Saw-Tooth (Garry Robbins), the oldest of the cannibals.

Chris, Jessie, Carly, and Scott find an isolated cabin. After entering, they are surprised to find human body parts. Horrified, they attempt to escape, but they are forced to hide when they hear the occupants coming back. Three disfigured, cannibalistic mountain men ("Three Finger", "Saw-Tooth", and "One-Eye") enter the cabin, bringing Francine's dead body. The four silently watch as her body is messily eaten.

The four quietly escape after the cannibals fall asleep. However, Saw-Tooth awakens, alerts the other cannibals, and begins to chase them through the forest. The group climbs up to a nearby clearing with many cars of the cannibals' victims. Chris is shot in the leg by One Eye (Ted Clarke), and Scott saves him by distracting the cannibals, allowing Jessie and Carly to steal one of the trucks. Chris gets into the truck, and they drive down a nearby path in search of Scott. Scott starts to make his way to the truck, but Saw-Tooth kills him with arrows and takes his body back to their cabin.

Chris, Jessie, and Carly reach a dead end and have to continue on foot. They find a radio in an old watchtower and use it to call for help, but do not get a response. Later, they see the cannibals armed with torches, searching at the foot of the watchtower. The radio starts responding to their call, alerting the cannibals. The cannibals set the tower on fire. Chris, Carly, and Jessie escape by jumping out of the window into a nearby tree. As they escape the tower, Three Finger (Julian Richings) catches Carly and decapitates her.

After escaping, Chris and Jessie hide in a cave near a waterfall until the next morning. Just as they find a road out of the woods, the mountain men find them, pushing Chris down the hill and taking Jessie back to their cabin. Chris survives the fall and meets a police officer, but before Chris is able to convince the police officer of what is happening, the man is shot with an arrow. Chris attempts to drive away in the police truck, but cannot find the key, so he instead hitches a ride underneath the truck as it is driven back to the cabin.

At the cabin, Jessie is tied to a bed and gagged. As Jessie is about to be killed, Chris, now driving the police truck, breaks through the cabin and runs into One-Eye. Chris unties Jessie and they fight the cannibals. They escape as Chris manages to kill the cannibals by blowing up their cabin with a shotgun. Chris and Jessie, driving the cannibals' truck, stop back at the gas station. Chris, badly injured, gets out of the truck and takes the map from the gas station while the old man (who was implied to be in league with the mountain men) hides in the store.

The credits are interrupted by a scene showing a deputy sheriff investigating and picking over the remains of the destroyed cabin. Three Finger, who survived the explosion, kills the deputy. His insane laughter is heard, as the credits continue to roll.

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End

Wikipedia Link

Plot

Quote:

Reality show contestant Kimberly is driving through the West Virginia back country searching for the location of her next project. While driving, she accidentally hits a teenager. She stops to check on him, but the teenager is revealed to be Brother, a cannibal, who bites her lips off. She attempts to escape, but runs into Three-Finger, who splits her in half vertically with an axe. He and Brother drag her halves away.

Former U.S. Marine Colonel Dale Murphy (Henry Rollins) is hosting a survival reality game show in the West Virginia forest, with contestants including: lingerie model Elena Garcia (Crystal Lowe), wisecracking skateboarder Matt Jones also known as Jonesy (Steve Braun), U.S. Marine officer and Iraq veteran Amber Williams (Daniella Alonso), former high school football player Jake Washington (Texas Battle) and a goth Nina Pappas (Erica Leerhsen). After Kimberly does not show up, the show's producer Mara Wilson (Aleksa Palladino) reluctantly takes her place.

When the game starts, Three-Finger kills Neil, one of the television crew. While Dale prepares for the games, Three-Finger and another cannibal Pa, attack and knock him unconscious. Nina and Mara find a log cabin in the woods. Mara enters the cabin to try to find a telephone as Nina follows her. While they look around the house, they hear the occupants return, so they hide in a bedroom. They witness a female cannibal Ma, giving birth to a deformed baby. Her daughter, Sister, spots Nina and Mara in the bedroom, forcing the two to escape through the toilet pit. They run into the woods, but Mara is hit in the head by a thrown axe. Nina searches for the others as the cannibals collect Mara's body.

After showrunner M (Matthew Currie Holmes) and Elena have sex, he returns to the RV as Elena stays by a lake to tan in her underwear. When Elena hears the cannibals, she starts to get dressed as Sister emerges from the bushes and slashes her to death with a machete. While M is in the RV, Ma and Pa hijack it. Pa attacks M and captures him. Meanwhile, Dale manages to escape and battles Three-Finger. After a short fight, Dale shoots Three-Finger with a shotgun.

As Jake, Amber and Jonesy are eating some meat they found, Nina returns and tells her story. When Jake realizes it was Kimberly's leg they had been eating, he, Nina, Amber and Jonesy attempt to escape. Dale finds the old man from the first film in his cabin. The old man tells him how the cannibals' mutations were caused by inbreeding and effluent dumped in the river by the abandoned paper mill. He then reveals that he is their father and attacks Dale. After a brief skirmish, Dale kills the old man by blowing him up with a stick of dynamite. After finding the RV gone, the others run towards the woods and encounter Brother and Sister. After fighting the cannibals, Jake searches for Nina while Amber and Jonesy go for help. Jake rescues Nina from a pit and they jump into the river to escape Sister.

Nina and Jake enter the mill and find a garage full of vehicles stolen from prior victims. They find the RV, and Jake enters it and witnesses M being decapitated on a live feed monitor inside. Nina and Jake attempt to leave but the cannibals, after they had murdered Amber and Jonesy in a trap earlier, capture them. The abandoned mill is revealed to be the mutants' home. Jake is strung up and Nina is strapped to a chair with barbed wire. The mutants eat dinner and force feed Nina.

Dale sneaks into the compound and distracts the cannibals. As the cannibals are searching for him, Dale manages to kill Brother and Sister with dynamite attached to an arrow. He frees Nina and Jake, but is killed by Ma and Pa, who were incensed by the deaths of their children. Nina successfully escapes, but Jake wanders into a room fitted with an enormous tree debarker, where he is attacked by Ma and Pa. Nina returns to the mill and kills Ma and Pa with the debarker. Nina and Jake find Kimberly's abandoned car and drive away. Meanwhile, Three-Finger has survived and is feeding the mutant baby with a finger and a bottle filled with polluted water.

Independence Day

Wikipedia Link

Plot

Quote:

On July 2, a 500 km wide alien mothership enters Earth's orbit and deploys several dozen saucer-shaped "destroyer" spacecraft, each 15 miles (24 km) wide. As they take position over some of Earth's major cities, David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum), an MIT graduate working for a cable company in New York City, discovers hidden satellite transmissions which he believes to be a timer counting down to a coordinated attack by the aliens. With the support of his estranged wife Constance Spano (Margaret Colin), a White House employee, he and his father Julius (Judd Hirsch) gain entrance into the Oval Office to notify President Thomas J. Whitmore (Bill Pullman) about the attack. Whitmore orders large-scale evacuations of the targeted cities, but the aliens attack with advanced directed-energy weapons before these can be carried out. Whitmore, portions of his staff, and the Levinsons narrowly escape aboard Air Force One as Washington, D.C. is destroyed.

On July 3, the Black Knights, a squadron of Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornets, participate in an assault on a destroyer near the ruins of Los Angeles. Their weapons fail to penetrate the craft's force field. Dozens of "attacker" ships are launched by the aliens in defense, and a one-sided dogfight ensues in which nearly all the Hornets are destroyed. Afterwards, many American military installations, including NORAD, are destroyed, killing the Vice President and most of the Cabinet who had been hiding there. Captain Steven Hiller (Will Smith) is the only man to survive and lures a single attacker to the Grand Canyon. Their aircraft crash into the desert. He subdues the injured alien and is rescued by Russell Casse (Randy Quaid), who is traveling across the desert with a group of refugees. They take the alien to nearby Area 51, where Whitmore and his remaining staff have also landed. Area 51 conceals a top-secret facility housing a repaired attacker and three alien bodies recovered from Roswell in 1947.

When scientist Dr. Brackish Okun (Brent Spiner) attempts to autopsy the alien, it regains consciousness and attempts to escape. When questioned by Whitmore, it reveals that its species travels from planet to planet, destroying all life and harvesting the natural resources. The alien attempts a psychic attack against Whitmore, but is killed by his security detail. Whitmore orders a nuclear attack on the destroyers, but the first attempt fails to penetrate the force field of the destroyer and the remaining strikes are aborted.

On July 4, Levinson devises a plan to use the repaired attacker to introduce a computer virus and plant a nuclear missile on board the mothership, theorizing that this will disrupt the force fields of the destroyers. Hiller volunteers to pilot the attacker, with Levinson accompanying him. With not enough military pilots to man all available aircraft, volunteers including Whitmore and Casse are enlisted for the counterstrike.

With the successful implantation of the virus, Whitmore leads the attack against an alien destroyer approaching Area 51. Although the force field is deactivated and the fighters are able to inflict damage, their supply of missiles quickly becomes exhausted. As the destroyer prepares to fire on the base, Casse has one missile left, but it jams, leaving him no choice but to sacrifice his own life. He flies his aircraft into the alien weapon with a kamikaze attack, destroying the craft. Human resistance forces around the world successfully destroy the other craft, while the nuclear device destroys the alien mothership as Hiller and Levinson escape. They return unharmed and reunite with their families. The whole world then celebrates its heroes' victory as well as its true 'Independence Day'.
Cast

Quote:

Will Smith as Captain Steven Hiller, an assured U.S. Marine Corps F/A-18 pilot with VMFA-314 who aspires to be an astronaut, even after being turned down by NASA. Devlin and Emmerich had always envisioned an African-American for the role, and specifically wanted Smith after seeing his performance in Six Degrees of Separation.

Bill Pullman as Thomas J. Whitmore, the President of the United States and a former Persian Gulf War fighter pilot. To prepare for the role, Pullman read Bob Woodward's The Commanders and watched the documentary film The War Room.

Jeff Goldblum as David Levinson, an MIT-educated computer expert, chess enthusiast, and environmentalist, working as a satellite technician in New York City.

Mary McDonnell as First Lady Marilyn Whitmore, President Whitmore's wife.

Judd Hirsch as Julius Levinson, David's father. The character was based on one of producer Dean Devlin's uncles.

Robert Loggia as General William Grey, a U.S. Marine Corps general who is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Loggia modeled the character after generals of World War II, particularly George S. Patton.

Randy Quaid as Russell Casse, a widowed, alcoholic crop duster and veteran Vietnam War pilot who claims to have been an alien abductee ten years prior to the film's events.

Margaret Colin as Constance Spano, White House Communications Director and David's ex-wife.

Vivica A. Fox as Jasmine Dubrow, a single mother, Steven's girlfriend (later wife), and exotic dancer.

James Rebhorn as Albert Nimzicki, the U.S. Secretary of Defense and former director of the CIA. Rebhorn described the character as being much like Oliver North. The character's eventual firing lampoons Joe Nimziki, MGM's head of advertising who reportedly accounted for unpleasant experiences for Devlin and Emmerich when studio executives forced recuts of Stargate.

Harvey Fierstein as Marty Gilbert, David's boss.

Adam Baldwin as Major Mitchell, a U.S. Air Force officer who is Area 51's commanding officer.

Brent Spiner as Dr. Brackish Okun, the unkempt and highly excitable scientist in charge of research at Area 51. Devlin, who is open to the idea of bringing Dr. Okun back in the event of a sequel, later implied the character is merely in a coma when he appears to have been killed by an alien. The character's appearance and verbal style are based upon those of visual effects supervisor Jeffrey A. Okun, with whom Emmerich had worked on Stargate.

James Duval as Miguel Casse, Russell's eldest son.

Lisa Jakub as Alicia Casse, Russell's teenage daughter.

Giuseppe Andrews as Troy Casse, Russell's younger son.

Ross Bagley as Dylan Dubrow, Jasmine Dubrow's son.

Mae Whitman as Patricia Whitmore, President Whitmore's daughter.

Bill Smitrovich as Captain Watson.

Kiersten Warren as Tiffany, Jasmine's exotic dancer friend.

Harry Connick, Jr. as Captain Jimmy Wilder, Steve's best friend and fellow pilot. Connick took over the part for Matthew Perry, originally cast in the role.

Frank Welker as Alien Vocal Effects

Plot

Quote:

In Antarctica, paleoclimatologist Jack Hall and his partners Frank and Jason are drilling for ice-core samples on the Larsen Ice Shelf for the NOAA when the ice breaks apart.

Later, Jack presents his findings on global warming at a United Nations conference in New Delhi, but fails to convince diplomats or Vice President of the United States Raymond Becker. However, Professor Terry Rapson of the Hedland Climate Research Centre in Scotland believes in Jack's theories. Several buoys in the North Atlantic simultaneously show a massive drop in the ocean temperature, and Rapson concludes that melting polar ice has started to disrupt the North Atlantic current. He contacts Jack, whose paleoclimatological weather model shows how climate changes caused the first Ice Age. His team, along with NASA's meteorologist Janet Tokada, builds a forecast model.

Across the world, violent weather causes mass destruction. U.S. President Blake authorizes the FAA to suspend all air traffic due to severe turbulence after learning numerous tornadoes destroyed downtown Los Angeles. At the International Space Station (ISS), three astronauts see a huge storm system expanding through the northern hemisphere, delaying their return home. The situation worsens when the storm system develops into three massive hurricane-like superstorms with eyes holding −150 °F (−101 °C) temperatures that freezes anything it comes in contact with. The three cells are located over Northern Canada, Siberia, and Scotland.

The weather becomes increasingly violent, causing traffic-jammed Manhattan streets to become flooded knee-deep. Jack's son Sam, visiting New York City as he is participating in an academic decathlon, calls his father promising to be on the next train home, but flooding closes the subways and Grand Central Terminal. As the storm worsens, a massive wave hits Manhattan. Sam and his friends seek shelter with a large group of people in the New York Public Library, but not before his friend and love interest Laura gets injured.

President Blake orders the evacuation of the southern states of the United States, causing almost all of the refugees to head to Mexico. Jack and his team set out for Manhattan to find his son. Their truck crashes into a block of ice, just past Philadelphia so the group continues on snowshoes.

Inside the library, Sam advises everyone of his father's instruction to stay indoors. Most of the people, thinking of Sam's warnings as nonsense, refuse to adhere to his father's instructions and leave the library, leaving only Sam, Laura, and few others behind. They burn books to stay alive and break into a vending machine for food. While journeying to New York, Frank falls through the glass roof of a snow-covered shopping mall. As Jason and Jack try to pull him up, the glass under them continues cracking and Frank sacrifices himself by cutting the rope. Laura appears to have a cold, so Sam comforts her, confessing his feelings for her, and they share a kiss. In Mexico, an urgent message reaches the refugee camp where most of the United States is taking refuge. Vice President Becker hears the urgent message from the Secretary of State that President Blake's motorcade was caught in the superstorm before it could make it to Mexico causing Vice President Becker to be sworn in as the new President.

The next morning, the group determine that Laura has blood poisoning from the cut on her leg, so Sam and two others search for penicillin in a derelict Russian cargo-ship that drifted inland. The eye of the superstorm passes over the city and the three barely return to the library with the medicine in time. During the deep freeze, Jack and Jason (who fell unconscious) take shelter in an abandoned Wendy's restaurant as Jack turns on the burners at the highest temperature.

Upon reaching Manhattan, Jack and Jason discover the library buried in snow, but find Sam's group alive. New York has turned into a polar, subarctic city, completely frozen by reaching −98 °F (−72 °C). They radio this to the government-in-exile in Mexico and President Becker orders helicopters flown into New York, finding more survivors. President Becker orders search-and-rescue teams to look for other survivors as he gives his first address to the nation. The movie concludes with the astronauts looking down at Earth from the Space Station, showing most of the northern hemisphere covered in ice and snow, with one of the astronauts stating "Look at that....Have you ever seen the air so clear?"

Look Who's Talking

Wikipedia Link

This is one of my absolute favorites. i mean its so CUTE. and who DOESN'T love baby's? its my top favorite of the series though i like look who's talking too and look who's talking now.

Plot

Quote:

Mollie is an accountant living in New York City who has an affair with Albert; a womanizing executive, and becomes pregnant. During her pregnancy, Mollie and Albert keep their indiscretion secret, under the idea she was artificially inseminated, and that Albert plans to leave his wife Beth and their two children to be with her. Mollie and her friend Rona happen to catch Albert fooling around with his interior decorator Melissa and he admits he is planning on living with her after his divorce is finalized. Mollie leaves upset, and immediately goes into labor. She gets into a cab where the driver; James Ubriacco wrecklessly speeds through downtown traffic in order to get her to the hospital on time, and he is inadvertently a witness to her son Mikey's birth. Mikey, then begins to make commentary on his life and interacts with things through an inner voice which can also communicate with other babies.

Hoping to get her life back on track, Mollie becomes a dedicated single mother; refusing to be superficial about hopeful fathers, but rejecting several men over small quirks that may reflect badly upon Mikey in the future. She meets James again at her apartment building and discovers he used her mailing address to set up residency in order to get his grandfather Vincent into a nice care home. She agrees to continue the ruse when he agrees to babysit Mikey, which almost comes to a halt when he takes the baby out to the airport, where he is a part-time commercial pilot while she is taking a nap (leading her to believe he'd kidnapped Mikey). A year passes, and James, realizing his feelings for Mollie cause him to start sabbotaging her dates, she soon realizes the bond he and Mikey share and decides to give him a chance. After a visit to James' grandfather at his new home, James takes her for flying lessons and she realizes she's falling for him, but when they become intimate, she imagines their life together and resists. James calls her out for using Mikey to push men away including himself and he storms out. Mollie is forced by her boss to continue to work with Albert, who insists upon seeing Mikey and she agrees. But when Albert visits, he meets James and the two get into an argument, the secret upsetting James he asks Mollie if she loves Albert and she claims she doesn't know. When he suggests the idea of being the closest thing to a father Mikey has, Mollie tells him that he's like a big kid and is not responsible enough to be a father and James leaves. At the playground, Mikey is told by his friends what "daddys" are, and he realizes he wants James to be his daddy. James comes to the apartment and tells Mikey that he won't be around anymore, and Mollie listens over the baby monitor as he pours his heart out to Mikey who admits he'll miss James too.

Mollie takes Mikey to Albert's office to meet him, but when Albert claims he doesn't want the responsibility of being a father, Mollie realizes he hasn't changed and she and Mikey ruin several pieces of his furniture before storming out and putting Albert out of their lives for good. Back at home, she receives a call from Vincent's home telling her that he's a disruptive influence and abusive to the staff, and she rushes over to clear up the error, managing to convince them to keep Vincent as he was given a chocolate stash that James had earlier instructed an orderly (who didn't speak English) not to let him have more than one a day or it would cause these outbursts. James arrives and he and Mollie makeup. Meanwhile, Mikey wanders off on his own, searching for James when he sees a taxi cab outside. After making his way out to the alley he gets into a car and is towed away while Mollie and James search frantically for him. After spotting him, James and Mollie give chase in his cab and eventually cut off the tow truck, but discover Mikey had gotten out of the car and is now standing in the middle of heavy traffic. James and Mollie run to reach him and take him to safety, where Mikey unofficially asks James to be his father by saying his first word "Da-da". James and Mollie realize that Mikey already sees James as his father, and they decide to give it a chance, kissing passionately while Mikey considers telling him he needs a new diaper, before deciding to wait.

Nine months later, Mollie gives birth to her and James' daughter Julie. When Mikey greets his half-sister she "tells" him she had a day he wouldn't believe.

Deja Vu

Wikipedia Link

Plot

Quote:

On Tuesday, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, ferry Sen. Alvin T. Stumpf is carrying hundreds of U.S. Navy sailors and their families from the Algiers dock to a celebration, when it explodes and sinks into the river, killing at least 543 on board. Special Agent Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is sent to investigate and discovers evidence that the attack was committed by a domestic terrorist.

He briefly meets with the investigating police officers and U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Paul Pryzwarra (Val Kilmer), then returns to his office, where he is given a message from a woman who had called earlier asking for him. He then is told of a partially burned body pulled from the river, which (unlike the other explosion victims' bodies) was discovered and reported to authorities before the explosion. The dead woman, Claire Kuchever (Paula Patton), appears to be in her early thirties, and has several fingers missing (seemingly having been cut off). Doug calls back the woman whose number he was given, but no one answers so he leaves a message.

To determine whether a connection exists between Claire's death and the explosion, Doug goes to Claire's house. He finds the phrase "U can save her" written out in magnetic letters on her refrigerator next to a clipping of an ad she placed to sell her used SUV. He also finds a loaded revolver on a shelf, and while listening to the messages on her answering machine, he hears calls from her concerned friend Beth, from her father, and finally, he hears the message that he had left himself a few hours before. He realizes that Claire was the woman who had tried to call him earlier.

Doug brings his findings to Special Agent Pryzwarra, concluding that the terrorist had contacted Claire because he needed her truck to get the explosives onto the ferry, then killed her, dumping her burned body in the river to make her look like another victim of the bombing. Pryzwarra is impressed with Doug's detective expertise, and asks him to assist a newly formed government-funded detective unit led by scientist Dr. Alexander Denny (Adam Goldberg). They investigate the events leading up to the explosion by using a new program called "Snow White", which enables them to look at events 4 days, 6 hours, 3 minutes, 45 seconds, 14.5 nanoseconds in the past. The system is limited in that they can only see past events once; there is no fast forwarding or rewinding, although they can record what they see.

Convinced that Claire is a vital link to the case, Doug persuades the team to focus on her. While the team investigates Claire's recent past through "Snow White", Doug begins to suspect that there is more to the program than he has been told. They listen as the bomber calls her about purchasing her car, a red SUV. Claire unwisely gives him her address, but he tells her he has decided not to purchase her car. During the phone call the "Snow White" team is able to learn an exact time that the terrorist will be going to the ferry dock in preparation for placing the vehicle on the ferry with the bomb inside.

Doug surreptitiously tries an unauthorized experiment on "Snow white" with a laser pointer, which temporarily blows the system. He confronts the team and they reluctantly tell him that "Snow White" is actually a time window, and is also capable of sending inanimate objects into the past. He asks if it is possible to change past events, and the team confirms that it can be done, but creating a new time line could cause unforeseen consequences. Despite Denny's protests against tampering with the past, Doug has the team send a note back in time to inform his past self where and when to intercept the ferry bomber. The team sends the note back to the very last moment Doug and his partner Larry Minuti (Matt Craven) were together in their office. To the team's dismay, 'past Doug' leaves the room before seeing the note and Larry picks it up.

Larry decides to follow the lead and, while confronting the terrorist at night on the ferry dock, is shot through the car door of the terrorist's black SUV. The terrorist flees, taking the seriously wounded Minuti with him, while the team follow him through the program, but he goes out of range of "Snow White." A frantic Doug is told the only way to extend "Snow White's" range is to follow in a vehicle specially equipped with a portable unit. With the team (who capture a clear view of the terrorist's face) guiding him, Doug, in the present, ends up at the terrorist's home, a bait shack in the bayou. Doug sees a deserted, blasted building containing a crashed ambulance, while the "Snow White" team sees the building as it was four days before -- intact, with no ambulance in sight. As Doug searches the ruin, finding no one, the members of the team are forced to watch in horror as the terrorist kills Minuti in the past, before driving away.

Using a facial recognition system, the "Snow White" team identify the ferry bomber, who is revealed to be disillusioned self-proclaimed patriot Carroll Oerstadt (Jim Caviezel). An ATF SWAT team tracks him into the swamp and captures him. Oerstadt is angry at the U.S. government after being turned down for enlistment by the Marine Corps and Army, who believed Oerstadt was overcommitted and psychologically unstable. During questioning in a lockup, Oerstadt tells Doug that he only needed Claire's truck for the bombing because his own truck had bullet holes in it after the confrontation with Minuti on the ferry dock. Oerstadt further discusses his motive and his belief in destiny, and finally admits to committing the crime, which satisfies Pryzwarra. Convinced that the case is now closed, the government shuts down the "Snow White" unit's part in the investigation. However, Doug is deeply troubled by the realization that he himself had caused the deaths of Minuti and Claire by altering history and sending the note back in time to Minuti. Doug convinces Denny to do one last unauthorized experiment: send Doug himself to the past to save Claire and stop the ferry bombing. The procedure is risky, as until then no human had been sent through, and doing so could mean death to the time traveler.

The trip through time lands Doug in a hospital, in convulsions, where he is stabilized by medical personnel. He returns to consciousness in the hospital the morning of the ferry explosion. Taking clothes belonging to another patient, he steals an ambulance and races to Oerstadt's hideout, crashing through the gate and into the side of the shack just as Oerstadt is about to cut off the unconscious Claire's fingers and burn her. Doug is wounded in a shootout with Oerstadt, who blows up the house and flees, believing he has killed both Doug and Claire in the explosion.

Carlin escapes with Claire in Oerstadt's SUV, stopping at Claire's apartment so Doug can tend to his wounds. When they arrive he asks to borrow clothes that belonged to her ex-boyfriend (whom Claire had not mentioned). He throws his bloody clothes in the sink and writes the phrase that he had seen earlier with the magnets on her refrigerator while Claire changes. But she pulls a gun on him, suspicious because he knew where she lived and knew all about her, and suggests that he is the terrorist himself. She calls his agency to find his true identity, and the clerk at the ATF accurately describes him but says that he isn't available and writes down her number on a gum wrapper. After Doug explains briefly how he knows about her, and correctly predicts the messages on her phone before she plays them, she leaves the gun on the shelf where Doug would find it in the future, and helps him to dress his wounds.

Doug and Claire go to the ferry dock. Doug intends to board the ferry and attempt to disarm the bomb, and he asks Claire to stay behind and alert security. Oerstadt, leaving the scene, recognizes his own SUV parked outside and runs back to the ferry, realizing that Doug and Claire survived the explosion at his shack. Claire jumps onto the ferry just as it pulls away from the dock, hoping to warn Doug, but is caught by Oerstadt, gagged, and bound in the driver's seat of her bomb-laden car. A suspicious security guard who confronts Oerstadt is shot and killed, resulting in a standoff between the ferry's security force, Doug, and Oerstadt. Doug catches Claire's eye and signals her to start the car's engine, while he distracts Oerstadt by reciting key parts of their conversation in the lockup from the previous time line, so that Claire can pin him with her car. Doug shoots Oerstadt in the head, killing him, and rushes to the SUV to free Claire, but is then held at gunpoint by the security force. To save everyone on the ferry, Doug and Claire drive the SUV with the bomb off the ferry into the water just before it explodes. Claire manages to escape, but Doug is unable to get out and dies in the underwater explosion. As the intact ferry returns to the dock, Claire is rescued by a harbor patrol boat and brought back to the landing, where she is approached by the Doug Carlin of the 'new' present, who knows her only as a witness to the explosion. As they drive off, the Beach Boys' song "Don't Worry Baby" plays on the radio.

This is another favorite movie. its a great movie 'nods'

Plot

Quote:

Wealthy heiress Joanna Stayton (Goldie Hawn) is completely spoiled and accustomed to living the life of the idle and rich with her husband, Grant Stayton III (Edward Herrmann). While waiting for their yacht to be repaired in the rural hamlet of Elk Cove, Oregon, she passes the time by hiring local carpenter Dean Proffitt (Kurt Russell) to remodel her closet. At first, he puts up with her rude and demanding attitude. However, when she refuses to pay because he didn't use cedar, the "right" type of wood according to her, he says he will redo the cabinet for double pay. This enrages her, and he loses his temper and tells her off, causing her to toss him and his tool kit overboard.

Later that night, as Joanna and Grant sail away from the harbor, she falls overboard while searching for her wedding ring on deck, develops amnesia, is rescued by a garbage scow, and is taken to the local hospital where no one can figure out who she is or where she belongs. Once Grant realizes she's fallen overboard, he sails back to port to get her. But after seeing her mental state and how horribly she treats the staff, he denies knowing her and returns to the yacht to embark on a spree of parties with younger women. After seeing her story on the local news, Dean, a widower living in redneck clutter with four young sons, decides to seek his revenge by having her work off her unpaid debt by serving in a domestic capacity. He goes to the hospital and tells her that she is Annie, his wife of thirteen years and the mother of his sons. He convinces the staff of his identity by revealing a small birthmark on her behind, which he saw during the remodeling when she was wearing a revealing swimsuit. Unwillingly convinced, she reluctantly goes home with him.

At first, Joanna has difficulty dealing with Dean's sons and the heavy load of chores but soon adapts to her new life as a housewife and learns to cook, clean, do laundry (in a tub even), and care for the pets, all while having to sleep on the couch at night. As she masters her own responsibilities, she learns about the boys' school and family issues and that Dean is secretly working two jobs to make ends meet. She begins to fall in love with him and his sons and handles the boys' family matters, and money challenges with considerable wisdom and grace, as well as telling off the local public schoolteacher who is more concerned with bean-counting than with the boys' education. Seeing Dean struggle, she makes his dream come true by helping him design a miniature golf course based on her untapped knowledge of the Seven Wonders of the World. Although he has also fallen in love with her, he doesn't tell her the truth about her real identity for fear that she will leave. Even when he tries to come clean when she discovers a pair of monogrammed underwear from her former life (which causes her to think he's having an affair), Billy Pratt (Michael G. Hagerty), a friend, says they belonged to a girl he met to get him off the hook.

Meanwhile, giving in to the pressure of Joanna's inquisitive mother, Edith (Katherine Helmond), Grant reluctantly returns to Elk Cove to retrieve her. Upon seeing him, her memory returns immediately. She is shocked and hurt when she realizes that Dean lied and has been using her for months. She returns with Grant to the yacht where Edith and Dr. Korman, their bumbling psychiatrist, are waiting. She now finds her old lifestyle stuffy and pretentious compared to that with Dean and his sons. One evening after doing shots of tequila with the crew, she turns to Andrew (Roddy McDowall), her loyal butler, and apologizes for her poor treatment of him after all the things he had done for her in the past. He replies that he is both surprised and pleased with the apology. He observes that unlike most people, she has been given an opportunity to see life from a different station than that to which she was born. He does not tell her what she must do, but merely states she is the one who can decide how to use the new perspective.

Realizing how happy she was with Dean and the boys, she commandeers the yacht and turns back toward Elk Cove. When the neurotic and selfish Grant finds out, he accuses her of mutiny, admits he never loved her, and commandeers the yacht himself. Meanwhile, Dean and the boys attempt to get her back with the help of Billy's friend who is in the Coast Guard. When they catch up to the yacht, she and Dean both jump overboard and are reunited in the water. An incensed Grant attempts to shoot her with a bow and arrow, accusing her of mutiny for jumping ship, only to be unceremoniously booted overboard by Andrew, who promptly gives his notice of resignation. Safely aboard the smaller vessel, Dean is impressed that she left Grant for him, but she says the money and yacht are actually hers. While the boys are thinking about how to enjoy the new wealth, he asks her, "What could I possibly give you that you don't already have?" She looks at the boys, smiles, and replies, "A little girl."

The Last Unicorn

Wikipedia Link

another favorite, actually THE favorite i don't care how old i get this movie is still good.

Plot

Quote:

In an enchanted forest, a unicorn learns she is the last of her kind; a butterfly reveals that a demonic animal called the Red Bull herded her kind to the ends of the earth. Venturing into unfamiliar territory beyond the safety of her home, the Unicorn journeys to find them and bring them back.

The Unicorn is captured by the witch Mommy Fortuna, and is put on display in the witch's Midnight Carnival. She makes friends with Schmendrick, an incompetent magician under the services of Mommy Fortuna. While most of the attractions are normal animals with a spell of illusion placed on them (like a Manticore being a toothless lion, a Satyr being a crippled chimpanzee, and the "Midgard Serpent" being a mere snake), Fortuna has captured the immortal harpy Celaeno as well. With the help of Schmendrick, the Unicorn escapes, and in the process frees Celaeno, who kills Fortuna and her henchman Ruhk. The Unicorn and the wizard later gain a second traveling companion, Molly Grue, the careworn lover of bandit leader Captain Cully.

When the Unicorn nears the seaside castle of King Haggard, supposed keeper of the Red Bull, she encounters the animal, which turns out to be a monstrous fire elemental. At the last moment before her capture, Schmendrick's unpredictable magic transforms her into a human woman with white knee-length hair. In this guise the Red Bull is uninterested in her and departs. The Unicorn suffers tremendous shock at the feeling of mortality in her body. While Molly wraps the Unicorn's human form in a blanket, Schmendrick states that the magic chose the form and not he and promises that he will return her to normal after the quest is complete.

Schmendrick, Molly Grue and the now-human Unicorn proceed to King Haggard's castle. Haggard is at first unwelcoming, and Schmendrick introduces the Unicorn as his niece, Lady Amalthea. Schmendrick requests that the three of them stay there as members of Haggard's court, only to be told that the only occupants of the castle are Haggard, his adopted son Prince Lír and four ancient men-at-arms. Haggard consents to lodging the trio, replacing his more competent on-call wizard, Mabruk, with Schmendrick, and setting Molly Grue to work in his scullery.

Amalthea begins to forget her identity and her reasons for coming to the castle, and falls in love with Prince Lír. Caught in her newfound emotions, she struggles with thoughts of abandoning her quest for the sake of mortal love. Haggard confronts Amalthea in private conversation, hinting at the location of the unicorns, yet from the waning magic in her eyes, he has doubts regarding his previous suspicions that she is more than she seems. Molly learns the location of the Red Bull's lair from a talking cat.

Molly, Schmendrick and Amalthea are joined by Lír as they enter the bull's den. Schmendrick reveals Amalthea's true identity to Lír after explaining what they are looking for. Lír is unmoved and says that he loves her anyway. This makes Amalthea want to abandon the quest and marry Lír, but Lír dissuades her. The Red Bull appears, but is no longer deceived by Amalthea's human form and chases after her. As Lír struggles to protect her, Schmendrick turns Amalthea back into the Unicorn, but she is unwilling to leave Lír's side. The Bull drives her toward the ocean, just as he earlier drove all the other unicorns, but she manages to run away and the Red Bull gives chase. Lír tries to defend her, but is killed by the bull. Enraged, the Unicorn turns on the Bull and forces him into the sea. Carried on the white surf of incoming tides, the other unicorns emerge en masse from the water, causing Haggard's castle to collapse into the sea as they rush past, with Haggard falling to his death.

On the beach, the Unicorn magically revives Lír before departing for her forest. Schmendrick assures Lír that he has gained much by winning the love of a unicorn, even if he is now alone. The Unicorn briefly returns to say goodbye to Schmendrick, who laments that he has done her wrong by burdening her with regret and the taint of mortality. She disagrees and thanks him for having helped to restore unicorns to the world; though she is the only unicorn to feel regret, she is also the only unicorn to know love. Schmendrick and Molly watch the Unicorn depart for her home in the woods.
Cast

Quote:

Mia Farrow as the Unicorn / Lady Amalthea, the titular "last unicorn" who, in her search for the other unicorns, is transformed into a young woman and learns about regret and love.

Alan Arkin as Schmendrick, a magician who accompanies the Unicorn on her quest to find others like her. Beagle commented that he was a bit "disappointed" by the way Alan Arkin approached the character because it seemed "too flat".[3]

Jeff Bridges as Prince Lír, King Haggard's adopted son who falls in love with Lady Amalthea. Although he is later told by Schmendrick that she is a unicorn, his feelings for her remain.

Tammy Grimes as Molly Grue, the love of Captain Cully who joins Schmendrick and the Unicorn. While explaining that there was no particular reason that he did not write a detailed background for Molly Grue's character, Peter S. Beagle stated that he has "always been grateful" to Grimes because she "brought such vocal life to the character that she covered things I didn't do."[3]

Robert Klein as The Butterfly, the creature that gives the Unicorn hints as to where to find the other unicorns.

Angela Lansbury as Mommy Fortuna, a witch who uses her illusory magic to run the Midnight Carnival, which showcases mythical creatures that are, in truth, just normal animals. Later, the harpy Celaeno, one of the two real mythical creatures, kills her and her henchman, Ruhk.

Christopher Lee as King Haggard, the ruler of a dreary kingdom who has never been happy, save for when he looks at unicorns. Beagle described Lee as "the last of the great 19th Century actors, and either the most-literate or second-most literate performer I've ever met."[4] When Lee came in to work, he brought his own copy of the novel wherein he took note of lines that he believed should not be omitted.[5] Lee, who is fluent in German, also voiced King Haggard in the German dub of the film.

Keenan Wynn as The Harpy Celaeno, a real harpy that was captured by Mommy Fortuna, freed by the Unicorn, and kills Mommy Fortuna and Ruhk out of vengeance for trapping her, the Unicorn and the other animals
Wynn also voices Captain Cully, the leader of a group of bandits.

Paul Frees as Mabruk, King Haggard's court magician who is replaced by Schmendrick.

René Auberjonois as the Skull that guards the clock that serves as an entryway into the Red Bull's lair. Beagle praised Auberjonois' performance, saying "he could have played any role in that movie and I would have been happy ... He's that talented."[4]

Brother Theodore as Ruhk, a hunchback who works for Mommy Fortuna. He, along with Mommy Fortuna, is killed by the Harpy Celaeno.
Don Messick as the Cat that gives Molly Grue clues regarding the whereabouts of the Red Bull's lair.

Nellie Bellflower as the Tree that speaks and falls in love with Schmendrick after he accidentally casts the wrong spell on it.

Edward Peck as Jack Jingly, Cully's Men

Jack Lester as Hunter #1, Old Farmer, Cully's Men

Kenneth Jennings as Hunter #2, Cully's Men

Man On Fire

Wikipedia Link

This would be a movie i just watched 'shrugs' it sounded interesting dunno if i like it or not. just started it.

Plot

Quote:

In 2003, burnt-out ex-CIA officer and former U.S. Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance officer John Creasy (Denzel Washington) looks for work and reunites with old friend and comrade Paul Rayburn (Christopher Walken), who runs a security firm in Mexico. Because of the extremely high rate of kidnappings in Mexico City for ransom money, businessman Samuel Ramos (Marc Anthony) hires Creasy through Rayburn to guard his nine-year-old daughter "Pita" (Dakota Fanning), intending to keep him on for only a short period in order to renew his kidnap and ransom insurance on Pita. Creasy suffers from alcoholism, depression and severe guilt as a result of his past work as a counterinsurgency fighter and assassin, and so works for Samuel at a rate far below what his experience would command. At first Creasy distances himself socially from Pita, but the two soon develop a friendship, which allows Creasy to overcome his demons and to act as a mentor and surrogate father-figure to the girl.

After a piano lesson, Pita is abducted in public: Creasy kills four of the kidnappers, but he is shot multiple times and collapses. The Ramoses agree to deliver a dead drop ransom of US$10 million per the instructions of "La Voz" ("The Voice") (Roberto Sosa), the mastermind behind the kidnapping ring. Samuel's attorney, Jordan Kalfus (Mickey Rourke), arranges for the ransom money to be collected from Samuel's kidnapping insurance policy, then arranges for it to be delivered to the kidnappers. The drop, however, is ambushed by members of "La Hermandad", a Mexican crime syndicate composed of corrupt police officers, leading to several of the ring members killed and the money being stolen. The Voice notifies the Ramos' that Pita will be killed in retribution.

Creasy leaves the hospital before fully recovering from his wounds and vows to Pita's mother Lisa (Radha Mitchell) that he will kill everyone involved in Pita's abduction. Rayburn supplies Creasy with firearms and explosives, while Mariana Guerrero (Rachel Ticotin), a journalist investigating the kidnappings, and Miguel Manzano (Giancarlo Giannini), an agent of the Agencia Federal de Investigación (AFI), offer their support. Creasy tortures and murders several targets for their information and eventually learns from a corrupt high-ranking police officer that the bags stolen from the ransom drop contained only $2.5 million.

Investigating further, Creasy finds Kalfus dead and evidence of Samuel's desperate financial situation and he confronts him with Lisa present. Samuel confesses to Creasy and Lisa that he agreed to Kalfus' plan to stage Pita's kidnapping, so he could pay off business debts by fraudulently collecting the insurance money. He planned to keep $5 million for himself and split the rest between Kalfus and the kidnappers. He also confesses to killing Kalfus. Creasy leaves a pistol and one bullet (a faulty round that he had previously used to attempt suicide) for Samuel, who then uses these to commit suicide.

Using the information provided by Creasy, The Voice's identity is revealed to be Daniel Sánchez, who Mariana exposes in the newspapers. Creasy shows up at Daniel's ex-wife's house and is shot by his brother Aurelio (Gero Camilo), who then tries unsuccessfully to escape. Creasy calls Daniel and threatens to kill his family and Daniel reveals that Pita is still alive: offering to free her if Creasy surrenders himself and brings Aurelio. Creasy agrees and he and Lisa arrive at the exchange site, where he and Pita share a tearful goodbye before he is taken and driven away by the kidnappers. Creasy dies peacefully en route as a result of his gunshot injuries. Daniel Sánchez is later killed by Manzano during an AFI arrest.

Subspecies Series

Films

Quote:
Subspecies

Subspecies (1991) follows three college students, Mara, Michelle, and Lillian, as they begin a study on Romanian culture and superstition in the small town Prejmer. They are befriended by Stefan, a student studying nocturnal animals. It is revealed that the nearby Castle Vladislas has been caught in a power struggle between vampire brothers Stefan and Radu. Centuries prior, King Vladislas was seduced and cursed by a sorceress who eventually gave birth to Radu. After banishing Radu's mother, the king met a mortal woman. She gave birth to Stefan, who prefers to live in the open, and loathes his vampire heritage. To gain control over the Bloodstone, a relic that is said to drip the blood of the saints, Radu kills his father. In an effort to hurt his brother, Radu turns Mara and Lillian into vampires. Stefan, having fallen in love with Michelle, helps her try and free Mara and Lillian from Radu's control. Stefan drives a stake through Radu's heart and severs his head with a sword, killing Radu. Unfortunately for Stefan, Radu bites Michelle before his brother can kill him, which forces Stefan to turn Michelle with his own blood in order to keep her from becoming like Radu. As Stefan and Michelle sleep, Radu's minions set about resurrecting their master
I didn't much care for the first movie. I could just never get into it.

Quote:

Bloodstone: Subspecies II

Bloodstone: Subspecies II (1993) picks up directly after the events of the first film, with Radu's minions, the Subspecies, reattaching Radu's head and removing the stake from his heart. Radu finds Stefan and Michelle sleeping, and immediately kills Stefan. The rising sun forces Radu to seek refuge; Michelle wakes at sunset and finds Stefan dead in his coffin, with the Bloodstone still in his hands. Michelle flees to Bucharest with the Bloodstone, hoping to contact her sister, Becky, for help. Radu, with the help of his mother, "Mummy", sets out to find Michelle and the Bloodstone. Becky arrives in Romania and with the help of Lieutenant Marin, Professor Popescu, and US Embassy Agent Mel Thompson, attempts to find her sister. Radu eventually captures Michelle, who has been fighting her craving for blood since Radu took the Bloodstone. Mel and Lieutenant Marin do not believe Popescu and Becky, so the two of them go to a nearby crypt where they believe Michelle might be. Popescu is murdered by Mummy, while Becky is also captured and given to Michelle to feed from, as a way for Michelle to shed her mortal ties. Instead of killing her sister, Michelle stabs Radu in the face with an enchanted dagger, and sets fire to Radu's mother, who flees the room in flames. Becky and Michelle attempt to escape the catacomb, but Michelle is halted by the coming sunrise. Becky promises to return that evening, but as Michelle descends back into the tomb she is grabbed by Radu's mother and carried off.
This is one of my favorite of the series. i like how Michelle looks and all that happens.

Quote:

Bloodlust: Subspecies III

Picking up where Subspecies II leaves off, Bloodlust: Subspecies III (1994) finds Michelle deep in the catacombs with Radu's mother, who brings her son back from the dead with Michelle's blood and the enchanted dagger that killed him; Radu, his mother, and Michelle return to Castle Vladislas. Michelle promises to obey Radu if he teaches her everything that he knows. Radu takes Michelle out hunting so she can enhance her powers, while Mel contacts a former operative of the CIA for help. While trying to rescue Michelle, Radu's mother quickly kills Mel's CIA friend, and knocks Mel unconscious. In an effort to get Michelle to stay with him forever, Radu kills his mother when she attacks Michelle. Becky arrives to save Michelle, but before everyone leaves, Michelle takes a gun from Becky, which contains silver bullets, and shoots Radu. The rising sun slows Michelle, so she is placed inside a body bag that was brought along; the delay allows Radu time to catch up to the group. Wanting the Bloodstone, which was taken by Michelle, Radu attempts to barter the group's lives in exchange for it. Becky throws it over the roof's edge, and when Radu attempts to follow it he is engulfed in the rays of the Sun. Radu's body bursts into flames and falls from the castle wall. Becky and the group make it to their car and drive off. Radu's burning corpse is left smoldering and impaled on tree branches, with his burning blood dropping to the ground; the flames go out and the blood morphs into new subspecies.
I also liked this one.

Vampire Journals

Vampire Journals (1997) is a spin-off of the Subspecies film series, featuring the vampire Ash. Vampire Journals follows Zachary, a vampire with a conscience, who hunts the vampire bloodline that sired him. After witnessing the love of his life get turned into a vampire, Zachary destroys both her, and his master, and former protégé of Ash, Serena. Zachary, armed with the enchanted sword of a great vampire slayer called Laertes, seeks out the rest of Serena's bloodline to eradicate them. Zachary travels to Bucharest to find Ash. Zachary uses Ash's penchant for music and women to bait him out into the open for attack. Ash sets his sights on pianist Sofia, but is thwarted by Zachary during his first attempt to take Sofia. It is revealed through a conversation between Ash and a seer that Zachary's coming was expected and that the two are destined to fight; however, Ash is to be the victor. Ash does not give up on acquiring Sofia, and hires her for his nightclub. Over the next few nights he drains her of blood, so that he may turn her into a new apprentice. He also makes a deal with Zachary: he will give Zachary a consort, protection from the Sun, and allow Zachary to see Sophia if he leaves the city the following night. While Ash is preparing to sire Sofia, he gives his daytime consult Iris the key to Zachary's room, so that she may dispose of his sleeping body in the sunlight. Seeing that his obsession with Sofia will ruin both their lives, Iris releases Zachary instead. Zachary arrives too late; Sophia has already accepted Ash's blood. Fighting off a weakened Ash, Zachary and Sofia escape from the nightclub. Ash follows them, but the rising sun becomes a problem. Zachary manages to get back the sword and kill Ash, whose body falls into the Sun's rays. Zachary and Sofia then find refuge in a nearby closet.
to be honest i haven't seen this one.

Subspecies 4: Bloodstorm

Subspecies 4: Bloodstorm (1998) begins with a badly burnt Radu able to find refuge in his crypt. A car accident takes the lives of everyone but Michelle, who is discovered by a stranger named Ana. Upon seeing Michelle's reaction to the sunlight, Ana takes her body to her former professor, Dr. Nicolescu, who quickly determines that Michelle is a vampire. When Michelle wakes, Dr. Nicolescu promises to cure her of her vampirism. Dr. Nicolescu is a vampire himself, but uses science to allow him to be immune to vampire weaknesses, with the exception of needing blood, and hopes to use Michelle to get the blood stone and therefore a cure for his condition. With his strength restored, Radu travels to Bucharest to claim the financial wealth one of his previous "fledglings", Ash, who has acquired in the Vladislas. Radu enlists Ash's help to track down Michelle, while Ash's own fledgling, Serena, attempts to play Radu and Ash against each other. Radu discovers Michelle's location, and Dr. Nicolescu agrees to give her to Radu in exchange for three drops of blood from the Bloodstone. Radu agrees, but it was only a trick to allow Dr. Nicolescu the opportunity to capture and stake Radu. Michelle arrives releases Radu, and the two flee to safety. Serena arrives immediately after and gives Ana a key to the Vladislas crypt, where Radu is, with instructions to kill Radu. Ana and Dr. Nicolescu arrive at the tomb, but Radu awakens and kills Nicolescu. Radu turns his attention to Ana, but Michelle slices his throat, allowing Ana enough time to decapitate Radu. They burn his body and take the Bloodstone. Ash and Serena are waiting at the opening of the crypt, but a caretaker, hearing Ana's screams, opens the crypt and spills sunlight inside. Michelle is hidden in a coffin and transported out of the cemetery, while Radu's head sits on a pike burning in the sun.
REALLY REALLY not fond of this one.

Final Destination (2000)

High school student Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) boards Flight 180 for a high school field trip to Paris. Before take-off, Alex has a premonition that the plane will explode in mid-air, killing everyone on board. When events from his vision begin to repeat themselves in reality, he panics, and a fight breaks out, leading to a handful of passengers being left behind including Clear Rivers (Ali Larter), Carter Horton (Kerr Smith), Billy Hitchcock (Seann William Scott), Valerie Lewton (Kristen Cloke), Terry Chaney (Amanda Detmer), and Tod Waggner (Chad Donella). Shortly after being removed from the plane they witness the plane explode, as Alex predicted. Over the next several months the survivors begin to die one by one, and those that remain try to find a way cheat Death's plan. Six months later, Alex, Clear, and Carter travel to Paris, believing they've finally cheated Death, however, Carter is suddenly crushed by a giant neon sign, revealing Death's plan is still in action.
in my opinion STILL the best out of the series.

Final Destination 2 (2003)

One year after the explosion of Flight 180, Kimberly "Kim" Corman (A. J. Cook) is on her way to Daytona Beach for spring break. En route, Kimberly has a premonition of a pileup on Route 23, killing everyone involved. She stalls her SUV on the entrance ramp preventing state trooper Thomas Burke (Michael Landes), Eugene Dix (T.C. Carson), Rory Peters (Jonathan Cherry), Kat Jennings (Keegan Connor Tracy), Nora and Tim Carpenter (Lynda Boyd and James Kirk), Evan Lewis (David Paetkau), and pregnant Isabella Hudson (Justina Machado) from entering the freeway. While Officer Burke questions Kimberly about the inconvenience, an 18-wheeler truck plows into Kimberly's SUV, killing her three best friends Shaina, Dano, and Frankie (Sarah Carter, Alex Rae, and Shaun Sipos). In the days following the accident, Kimberly learns of the crash of Flight 180 and teams up with Clear, the last survivor, to try to save a new group of people from Death. The survivors learn that only "new life" can defeat Death, and are killed one by one through a series of freak accidents as Isabella's delivery date draws closer. It is revealed that Isabella was never meant to die in the pileup, and Kimberly drowns herself in the lake so that she can be resuscitated by emergency staff, thus granting her "new life"; saving her and Thomas.
yeah that leaves out at the end that the kid one of them saves was due to die and death is 'STILL' after them.

Final Destination 3 (2006)

Six years after the explosion of Flight 180, and five years after the pileup on Route 23, Wendy Christensen (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), a high school student, visits an amusement park with her friends Kevin Fischer (Ryan Merriman), Jason Wise (Jesse Moss), and Carrie Dreyer (Gina Holden). As Wendy and her friends board the Devil's Flight roller coaster, she has a premonition that it will crash, killing everyone on board. Wendy panics and manages to get off the roller coaster along with Kevin, Wendy's younger sister Julie (Amanda Crew), Ian McKinley (Kris Lemche), Perry Malinowski (Maggie Ma), Erin Ulmer (Alexz Johnson), Lewis Romero (Texas Battle), Frankie Cheeks (Sam Easton), and Ashley Freund and Ashlyn Halperin (Chelan Simmons and Crystal Lowe), before the accident occurs, killing Jason and Carrie. A few days later, Kevin tells Wendy about the explosion of Flight 180, and claims that the people who got off of the roller coaster will die, just as Alex and his friends did. When the survivors begin to die in a series of strange accidents, Wendy and Kevin set out the save those who remain. Most of their attempts prove futile with the exception of Wendy's sister Julie, and they believe the have cheated death. Five months later the three "coincidentally" cross paths and die in a horrifying subway accident.

The Final Destination (2009)

Ten years after the explosion of Flight 180, nine years after the pileup on route 23, and three years after the Devil's Flight derailment, Nick O'Bannon (Bobby Campo) has a premonition in which multiple race cars crash at the McKinley Speedway, sending debris into the stands and causing the stadium to collapse on the spectators. Nick persuades his friends Lori Milligan (Shantel VanSanten), Janet Cunningham (Haley Webb), and Hunt Wynorski (Nick Zano), security guard George Lanter (Mykelti Williamson), and spectators Jonathan Groves (Jackson Walker), Andy Kewzer (Andrew Fiscella), Samantha Lane (Krista Allen), Carter Daniels (Justin Welborn), and Nadia Monroy (Stephanie Honoré) to leave the stadium, before the accident occurs. Once again, the survivors are killed in a series of bizarre accidents except Janet, who is rescued just moments before her death thanks to Nick's visions. This leads the remaining survivors to believe they have cheated Death until Nick has another premonition of a disastrous explosion at a shopping mall, which he manages to prevent saving, him, Lori, and Janet. Two weeks later, Nick realizes the mall disaster vision was meant to lead them right where death wanted them to be and they are all hit by a runaway semi-trailer truck.
yeah it wasn't the final 'shakes head'

Final Destination 5 (2011)

Sam Lawton (Nicholas D'Agosto) has a premonition that the North Bay Bridge will collapse, killing everyone on it. As his vision becomes a reality, Sam manages to rescue his co-workers Molly Harper (Emma Bell), Nathan Sears (Arlen Escarpeta), Peter Friedkin (Miles Fisher), Dennis Lapman (David Koechner), Olivia Castle (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Isaac Palmer (P. J. Byrne), and Candice Hooper (Ellen Wroe). After Candice and Isaac die in bizarre accidents, Sam is warned of Death's plans and told that his only means of survival are to kill somebody else and claim their remaining lifespan. Olivia and Dennis are killed before they have a chance to save themselves, but Nathan successfully claims the lifespan of a co-worker when he accidentally causes his death in a warehouse accident. Peter attempts to kill Molly, jealous that she survived instead of Candice. Peter eventually gains the lifespan of an investigating agent, but is killed by Sam while attempting to kill Molly. Sam and Molly later board a flight to Paris, later revealed to be Flight 180, and both die in the resulting accident. The landing gear is sent towards New York City and crashes into a cocktail bar, killing Nathan.

I've been rewatching a favorite series. 'Alien Nation' I so believe they should of continued it or at least given it a better ending then they did. it sucks that they went and slapped on a sloppy ending.. even if it would of been good as a 'stand alone' I found most of the series on Youtube. Lets hear it about that.

(all links go to youtube)
all episode information found on Wikipedia

Alien Nation | Episode 1 The TV Movie

Quote:
As resentment toward the Newcomers builds, Matt Sikes and George Francisco investigate a string of murders that appears to be the work of a giant, insect-like creature that Purists claim is connected to the Newcomers, and Matt receives information from his dead former partner that may lead to and uncover a greater evil.
Alien Nation | Episode 2 - Fountain of Youth

Quote:
A pair of surgeons have been killing Newcomers for their spartiary glands and implanting the life-lengthening glands into humans.
Alien Nation | Episode 3 - Little Lost Lamb

Quote:
George and Matt go undercover to investigate a prostitution ring, and George's uncle Moodri, a Tenctonese Elder, convinces Buck to face up (and confess) to a killing Buck had committed in self-defense.
Alien Nation | Episode 4 - Fifteen with Wanda

Quote:
Matt and George struggle to cope with both their respective rebellious children and each other while simultaneously trying to protect a sex-crazed witness from a mobster.
Alien Nation | Episode 5 - The Takeover

Alien Nation | Episode 7 - Night of the Screams

Quote:
As Halloween approaches, a series of grisly murders is patterned after the mythical Tagdot, a Tenctonese boogeyman who severs the hands of his victims as they bleed to death.
Alien Nation | Episode 8 - Contact

Quote:
In the wake of an astronomer's murder, George and Matt must prevent an Overseer from sending a signal into space which could result in Earth's enslavement.
Alien Nation | Episode 9 - Three to Tango

Quote:
Someone has been murdering Binnaums, a unique caste of Newcomers required in Tenctonese procreation, putting stationhouse janitor (and binnaum) Albert Einstein in grave danger, and Sikes and George fear it is the work of Purists intent on preventing Newcomers from multiplying. Also, the Franciscos make plans for a third child.
Alien Nation | Episode 10 - The Game

Quote:
George is forced to confront his past when a Russian Roulette-style game once played on the slave ship resurfaces to plague Newcomer society.
Alien Nation | Episode 11 - Chains of Love

Quote:
George goes undercover to track down a murderous female Newcomer who has been using a dating service and a Tenctonese love drug called Sardonak to lure victims, while Matt must deal with the attentions of a male Newcomer who has taken Sardonak but fallen for Matt instead. In this episode George takes Susan some cut flowers which seems in conflict with the movie Alien Nation: Dark Horizon where living flowers are preferred.
Alien Nation | Episode 12 - The Red Room

Quote:
Matt and George join the search for an elusive killer, a Newcomer trained in the quarantine camps to be an assassin for the C.I.A.
Alien Nation | Episode 13 - The Spirit of 95

Alien Nation S1E16 Partners 2of4

Alien Nation S1E16 Partners 3of4

Alien Nation S1E16 Partners 4of4

Quote:
When George is implicated in a scandal involving the disappearance on his watch of several kilos of an illegal narcotic known as "Jack", it is up to Matt to clear him ... an effort that strikes close to Matt. Also, the Francisco family prepares for the transference of the pod from Susan to George.

Alien Nation | Episode 17 - Real Men

Quote:
Following a life-after-death experience, Matt is convinced that a Tenctonese criminal has the ability to bring the dead back to life.
Alien Nation | Episode 20 - Gimme Gimme

Quote:
George's investment in a Tenctonese fabric company is jeopardized when one of the firm's corporate executives meets with foul play, Buck protests against worker exploitation at the firm's factory, and Matt sells one of his lottery tickets to Albert ... only to see him win.
Alien Nation | Episode 21 - The Touch

Quote:
Cathy is reunited with a boy from the Newcomer slave ship, but when he exhibits bizarre behaviour and appears emotionally troubled, she goes beyond the law in her attempts to intervene.
Alien Nation | Episode 22 - Green Eyes

Quote:
Matt and Cathy struggle with their romantic feelings for one another, while George and Matt's partnership/friendship may implode due to George's promotion over Matt and a plot to exterminate the Tenctonese race via a deadly bacteria unfolds.
Television movies

Alien Nation: Dark Horizon

Quote:
In a recapitulation of the series cliffhanger, Alien Nation: Dark Horizon begins with Susan Francisco and her daughter Emily falling victim to a newly developed bacterial infection that was created by a group of human Purists to exterminate the Newcomer species. There is also a new sub-plot running parallel to this one, the story of Ahpossno, a Tenctonese Overseer who lands on Earth to find any surviving Tenctonese and bring them back into slavery. The idea of a signal sent into space by the surviving Overseers was explored in the Alien Nation episode Contact.
Alien Nation: Body and Soul

Quote:
It follows the television series format of two parallel storylines. The first plot is about a seemingly human-Tenctonese hybrid child involved in a sinister experiment with a Newcomer scientist disguised as a human. The sub-plot is the budding relationship between Matt Sikes and his Tenctonese neighbor Dr. Cathy Frankel. The relationship between Matt and Cathy was an ongoing theme of the Alien Nation television series.

Alien Nation: Millennium

Quote:
The plot follows human detective Matthew Sikes and his Tenctonese partner George Francisco as they investigate a mind-altering Tenctonese artifact being used to lure followers into a deadly cult. The artifact used in this film was the same one from Alien Nation episode Generation to Generation.
Alien Nation: The Enemy Within

In this movie, detective Matthew Sikes and his Tenctonese partner George Francisco investigate a group of Tenctonese called the Eenos. The sub-plot involves Tenctonese binnaum Albert Einstein and his new bride May attempting to have a child (with George's help) -- a reversal of the Alien Nation episode Three to Tango.

Alien Nation: The Udara Legacy

Quote:
The plot introduces the idea that among the Tenctonese slaves, there was a resistance movement called the Udara who were implanted with hypnotic suggestions to act as sleeper agents. Now, here on Earth, someone has found a way to activate these sleeper agents, and send them out as assassins.

It's a classic. A matter of early film making. They were still learning how to make sound movies. There was no formula, no schools. Check it out sometimes, but beware the version they screwed up with a cheap soundtrack add on.
What's your favorite movie jaunera(sp?)
