It's just so us! No one would ever call us alike. He's very logical, grounded, and rational. I'm very emotional, and while I do try to use logic where I can, I often go with gut instincts and what "feels" best. So we're very opposite in very complementary ways, and I think we help each other to see other perspectives. I always go to him when I have a tough choice to make - especially if it's not a pleasant one, since emotions don't help there!

Honestly, I don't think I'd want to date another Cancer. I can barely handle my own emotions, let alone someone else's! My boyfriend and I joke that he's a robot - NO EMOTIONS. Not true, of course. He's a huge loveable goofball. But sometimes he's so analytical that it's scary.

Basically, it would get all my info into one place where I could stare at it all at once, instead of always flipping back and forth in my book. I'd like to be able to cross-reference planets and aspects and all that more easily, to see where traits are reinforcing and contradicting each other.

I also ponder the scientific-ness of astrology. On the one hand, yeah, objects in space exert gravitational pull on each other, so yes, we all have a gravitational connection to Venus right now (for example). That's just basic physics. But the question then becomes, how (and why) would that have an effect on our personality? And why specifically at the time of birth? And how would we go about examining that in a scientific way? The mind boggles.

I'll admit to be a softie for the tumblr astrology meme, but generally only the poetic or funny ones. Because I do view it as a meme, and so my sensibilities influence what I'm partial to.

Personally, I try taking astrology with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, I am proud of my sun and moon signs because they are apparently connected with Venus, my favorite planet, albeit I'm unhappy with my rising sign and its ruling planet, Mercury. Even so, astrology is an interesting, enjoyable pastime.
