Aug 25th: Flirting

I don't think I flirt. I listen to people and their convos and do the uh huh, yeah thing until I can plan my escape. Plus my bf is normally around and the one doing all the talking about his blah blah blah as I drink and escape to the dance floor.

I have a huge craving right now for lots of apple cinnamon stuff. Not really sure why. I just wants it. Or Cinnamon raisin too. I just don't know what to do about it.

Aug 26th: Human Rights

Sometimes I think about what rights, if any we would have if aliens came down and claimed the place. Would we even be considered a sentient being. Would we be treated the same we we treat other kinds of animal we think are delicious? Or as test creatures? Cheap labour? Would the cute well behaved humans be Pets?

Speaking of Labour. Lilith got a call today from the CTrek Program. They told her to bring in a resume and application form for 3 pm Sept 1. O.o MY baebae! Getting pre-placed at a job cuz of her bootiful brains? WHA!!! So excited for her. She's going to be just barely 15!

Aug 27th: They Said what?!

I'm not shocked by anything anymore to tell you the truth. Just recently one me and my coworker over heard some crazy drug involved shit. Not just some MJ but like other things. And some other crazy stuff that went down. We both just went to the back and were like WTF? But my area of the city is kinda known for crazies. So we decided ...meh.

• Got all of the "left overs" from the Snack attack! 125/125!

Aug 28th: Stars!

Stars for the start of Celes Paradi!? That worked out well.

This week looks like it will take a lot of strength. I have two meeting over the weekend. One for organizing a local charity event the other for the day job that I'd LOVE to skip (but prolly shouldn't) It's really annoying to have to go in on a day you don't get scheduled on. It's 1.5 extra pay but still. No one got time for That bs.
I have to go over Lilith Resume, and take her to her first interview. Which is exciting but still more onto the plate than I'd like in one weekend when I'd rather be on mene chatting it up. XD Oh and there's keeping up with Art that needs to get done.

That in itself could turn into a problem. *growls at windows 10*

Aug 29th: Performance Art

Or as most people see it. People acting and dressing oddly in public and calling it art. XD I'm on the fence about performance art. I like a few displays but I couldn't tell you about the art or who ran the thing was. Since it's not a permanent art form it only lives if people passing by take photos of it.

I'm currently updating to a new version of photoshop in the bg. I can't wait to play with it. :D

So the meeting today ended up being canceled because only three people showed up. >:( not cool. Oh well still the one tomorrow.

Aug 31st: Why!

Indeed! Why am I having so much of a problem coming up with a few paragraphs for the Mad Lib contest? >:( I keep getting distracted by all the things going on. I need to take a step and live in now. And just do it. Deadline is later today. In fact I'm putting it off so much that I decided to write a paragraph or two about it first before even attempting it. Not like me at all. O.o If I match this post sentence to sentence for the Mad Lib I'll be done soon. :D

Cora sent me a few options of what she'd like me to draw. I chose her mermaid character Sera. Her scales were right up my alley. :D I think I'll probably start a bit of it tomorrow. Oddly enough I was already working on an underwater bg that I think would suit her. I'm just going to change it from scary depths to tropical reef.

Sept. 1st: 8 Cups of water!

I should get on that. I haven't had a drink yet today and I'm thirsty. To be honest I'm feeling more like a pineapple smoothie or a coffee. Hmmm. I wonder how close the place is to a Timmies.

It's Lilith's first interview today. I have a good feeling because she was on a short list and they called us. I think I'm more nervous than she is because we have to take a bus home and it's been a while since I rode one. I know which one to take just not sure which side of the road to stand on.

I'm really happy that I have all of September done for art. I also have a good handle on October and November is planed out. I want to be finished with October by Sept.12th That's Lilith Birthday. :D

• I'd like to get to Three or four hundred in event currency today when I get back.

Sept. 2nd: Forget Me not

I feel like that's what my hat would have said to me this morning if it had a voice to. XD Maybe that's why I'm so tired.

Sept. 3rd: Allergies

I have a few things I'm allergic to. Mostly makeups and perfumes. I'm happy it's not something I have to deal with on a regular basis because I can easily avoid those things.

Sept. 4th: Calculate

So the event ended while I was "busy" at work. Today was so dead that honestly I could have been sent home. Then the rain started. OMG! it's so bad that Kildare St. wasn't draining fast enough. The water was up over the curb.

Tonight is all about getting back to the grind of my regular scheduled evening. Events always leave me a bit antsy at the end of them. XD Let's see all the work I can get done tonight. :D

Sept. 5th: Paycheck

Or Cheque as we say in Canada. We make differences from Checks as in Marks, and Cheque's in money. So since we know by spelling it's money related often we don't say "paycheck" just "Cheque". :) One of those funny little things we do differently. It's also more common now to here "Pay-stub" since it's all digital now.

I went shopping at a thrift store and found a few items that would make perfect costume pieces. :D One blouse that screams "steam punk" for 3.99 and a beautiful flowing silk Art Nouveau looking gown. It's simple but complex at the same time with lovely lace on it and it had a genuine antique look about it. A very happy to part with my 6.99 for it.

I decided to go a different way with the Padme costume and I'm using puff paint first. Then I'm going to embroider over the puff paint. I've seen some great results and want to try it out for myself. :D I also found the right dye for my Riddler touch ups. :D

Sept. 8th-11th: Snips and Snails

This week I'm going to be chasing my puppy dog tail. Going from different work to different work. At least the work I come home to is joyful and creative. I figured I'll be running around so much that I should really write out a plan of action for it.

Also I don't think I'll have the extra few minutes needed to write stuff for those days. Then again who knows I might write a few blurbs in between projects.

Tuesday:

• Work 7:30-4 T.T (EWW) then I'll have about 5 hours of these things:
• Sew over Padme Puff Paint
• Continue Mask work.
• Take pictures of the Riddler stuff. * Important for "How to's"
• Work on Cora's Image while things are drying. :D

Wednesday:

• Work 9-5 then come home and do 5 hours of...
• Work on anything I didn't complete Tuesday
• Final Mask paint should be done at this point with enough time for curing/drying.
• More work on Cora's Image

Thursday:

• Work 1030-330- yay short shift. longer time to work on mene things.
• Finish anything still unfinished from the previous 2 days.

Friday:

• Work 10-3 come home make dinner
• Photo-shoot for Padme
• Hopefully load all of October images before Lilith's B-day

Sept. 12th:Lilith's Birthday!

This week/weekend has been SO busy. From new school year to her birthday to photo shoots and keeping up (barely) with art. Aaa!

It was my little Lilith's 15th birthday this past weekend. We were going to go to a rock show but Chris misread the date and it's actually in October. We'll still go but it'll be a while yet. We took her to a local BBQ place and order the big sampler. It was a huge amount even for 7 people. The chicken and ribs were awesome, I was less impressed with the brisket but I wasn't about to go on a Ramsey Rant. My long island iced tea was surprisingly strong, but yummy. O>O We did a bonfire and had a bunch of people over for cake and random fun. No official party just a "common over" sort of thing. She got a couple hundred dollars worth of steam cards. O.O I was like...I'll just yoink one of these >:D Nah. It's funny cuz she's smart and was like "I'm ready for the winter sale" XD

We didn't really take many pictures and the ones we did take didn't turn out. Either blury or she was making her "derp" face. She loves doing that just as the second flash comes on because the person taking it can't see the change from nice smile to evil worm princess. XD

Sept. 13th: Lanterns in the dark

Sunday was a busy day. I did 2 photo shoots. I'm going to be using the photos for my October art updates. :D The shoots themselves were like polar opposites. The Padme shoot was melting hot with tons of mosquitoes in a very out in nature setting. While the Riddler shoot was at night in freezing wind in a rumble strewn area under a bridge with a bunch of graffiti under it.

We took about 100 pictures at each site. It was a fun thing to do because the photographer was my bf. :D It made it easy for me to let go and get into character. Plus I was able to boss him around more than I would a photographer "with vision". XD Explaining angles to him however was a bit...annoying. He kept on going for really wide shots, when the idea of the photos were to spotlight the costume. Much cropping is in my future. Overall a fun date thing to do. . .there may have been forest smooching after Padme shoot. HEhehe.

The riddler shoot was fun and kinda scary because of how dark it was outside and hearing the cars over head. We went for coffee after that to warm up and I was like...oh yeah...I'm in costume. ROFL. oh well.

Sept. 14&15th: Mushy Monday and Thhhuuurppt Tuesaday

Alright now that Lilith is back at school and all the photo stuff is done for Octobers Updates it's time to get back into my Mene Groove and Art. Monday was pretty much wasted. I got the color finally blocked on Cora's commission. The scales might kill me but I want them to looks shiny and cool. I ended up sleeping and watching netflicks most of Monday. So disappointed at myself and the lack of progress for this picture. I haven't even been showing any "WIPs" for a week or so.

Also I just realized I never did my full 4 hours of mod work last week. I think I got to 2.5 or something. I plan on making it back this week.

I thought there was something wrong with me Monday night but this morning I got my period so that explains that. I don't get cramps before my time just incredibly lazy to the point of sleeping 16hours that day. Hmmm that's probaly not normal. Oh well. Then I found out Lilith forgot to mention that we were getting out of lady products in the house. So that was a fun trip this morning. Darn kid. Oh well at least there will be lots for when she starts hers now. XD

My goals for September are still to get the years worth of art done and uploaded. So that come next spring I'm good to go on the renovations. :D Overall things are where they should be.

Sept. 16th: Some Where Over the Rainbow

That's where you'll find me. :D Lilith just got a call back from her interview, she starts on the 26th. This is going to help her SO much in life if she continue to pursue it. I can see scholarship and travel in her future.

The little nut teased me to when I asked her if she had heard back from them yet she was like "yeah, but I didn't get in." I was all ready with hugs and we'll get em' next time when she gave me her troll grin and said GOT YA! XD She really did.

I want to do something nice for her for getting in but I'm not sure what yet. I'm sort of leaning towards her first cell phone. Most of her friends have had one since grade six and I feel like she's organized and responsible enough to have one. But money is tight right now. Her birthday and school fees kinda drained me. . .and Halloween and Christmas come so quickly.

• Worked a full shift today. kids are finally back so it was nice and busy.
• bought another page of Hopscotch. :D
• After work I relaxed a bit. (dance/exercise)
  

Sept. 17th: Lunch

I didn't do lunch today. I drank WAY to much coffee too. >.< At least I stayed hydrated. Our lunches have been nice and busy. There's this one really cute super polite kid that we have as a regular. I just want to take him home with me. XD

Dinner I'm making burgers for dinner. I'll probably end up not eating the bun. I just want the meat. nom nom nom.

Sept. 18th: Puzzle.

I got a feelin...That tonight's gonna be AWESOME. :D No real reason. Just like I have a lot of stuff planed for the future and so far it's on steady rails for success in both financial and action. :) I'm enjoying my life right now. All the good and bad that's swirling around me. I feel at peace.

We had a record breaking lunch today at our location. 107 orders served up 0 comebacks. Go Team! I'm drinking a well earning Peach schnaps drink tonight.

I was also spying on Lilith today. UH OH! Creeper mom. She was talking to herself in her room practicing her "teacher speak" So cute so wordy and such dedication. I think about all the horrible things I did at her age and I feel so happy to be there for her. I think she might have an oral presentation she's prepping for. She's so young to be talking like that it makes me wonder where the time is going.

Sept. 19th: Immortals

~ This topic reminds me of highlander and a bunch of other fandom things. Things that live forever and cool vampire types. Things that when you look into their eyes you can see how old they are and that human might not be their real identity.

Actually I have a recent story about that kind of thing.

At work on Friday there was this really tall guy. He had a super serious face in the line and for every person working it he gave very short one word answers. Till he came to me. I my head I was thinking he had cool hybrid alien eyes and how his human face wasn't convincing. His Eyes were kinda like mine but with black and blue instead of gold and grey. Very eye catching. After I thought about those "alien" comments in my head his demeanor changed noticeably and completely. He started asking how I've been and talking like I knew him before. His smile was pretty big too.

It was kinda of intense and awkward feeling during a rush. I wanted to tell everyone about what I was thinking before his mood change. He bought his lunch he sat in the middle of the place staring blankly into my general area and smiled when I looked that way a few times. So much so that the other girls asked me where I knew Mr. Creepy from after he finally left.(2hours later not the average meal time) I was like... I don't.

I think he probably mistook me for someone, or maybe I just surprised him by giving him eye contact and treating his height like not a big deal. I feel like he'll be back again next Wednesday. I don't know why. Just a feeling.

I kinda want to draw his eyes. But I don't know how accurately I'll remember them at this point. I don't think I'd forget someone with eyes like that. I also checked a few contact lenses sites to see I can find any costume lenses that match but nope.

• Grocery day! - it's a no tax day so we'll be taking advantage of that. :D
• Gonna try and get in a bonfire, it's getting late in the season and I intend to enjoy that lil' fire place as much as I can
• Saturday = play day. Chris is over and we're going to make pork-chops for dinner. :D

Sept. 20th: Smile

I went for a walk at around 4 in the morning today. I don't know why but I was wide awake and ready to go. That never happens for me that early. I got my sweats on and a heavy sweater and off I went. The Auroras were out last night.

It switched between the green ribbon type and the white flashy type. It was beautiful. I went to the park and started swinging while watching the sky. Yes at over 30 I still play on the swings. And I'm sure and I age I'll creep people out by doing it. Ol Granny Neph swinging at the small hours of the morning.

I know I caught someones attention while out there. They stood around the parks entrance by the big Oak tree. Mostly out of site. They were probably trying to figure out why the crazy chick was swinging all alone.

I don't think they were a natural born Canadian though because they never asked to join or said hi. Most would in my parts. It not uncommon to start a conversation with a perfect stranger if they're on the same trail as you. Better to walk together in case of black bears or cougars. :) Though an angry horny moose in more likely than those two. XD

Sept. 21st: Day Dreamer

I find it funny when CI's or EI's fit with the given word. It's happened a few times now purely by coincidence. The CI is like something I would imagine in a day dream. It reminds me of never-land or some other sort of faerie place.

My little sister has been pming me about her newest obsession. There isn't really any merchandise about it. Which is strange since it's a LucasArts films. Other than the DVD I can't find any toys or dolls for it.

Lilith's meet the teacher is coming up soon. On the 24th, I'm not really to concerned about it but it'll be good to touch base with them at any rate. :) I hate making dinner's on those days. So we might order in that day. Actually, I wonder what I should cook today. Arg daily struggles. *pokes cupboard*

I don't want it to be a day where I'm figuring it out at 7...It's almost 6 so I better get to it.

Sept. 23rd: Fireworks

So my manager was sick from work today and my assistant manager is clueless at paper work. I help her along, got all the customers and some how still getting prep done. Feet on fire. Mild head ache. Mene will fix it. *glomps computer and art stuff*

The person that came in to replace the managers work wasn't on the same level either so our regular rush hit us harder than normal. >.< My bf brought me over a burger I didn't eat last night. So I guess i'll re heat split with Lilith and make us a side salad. yup sounds like dinner to me. XD
