For those who do remember me and have wondered where I disappeared to, I've have numerous life events this year that prevented me from really being online. I moved, wound up getting a new job that keeps me busy, and moved again.

Welcome back Liz!! Congrats on the real life happenings, sounds exciting but glad to see you around again. :3

Thanks, Longcat! For the most part, they have been exciting. Hopefully, I'll be able to spend more time on here. Depends on the hours I work. xD They seem to like giving people plenty of hours out there though I've heard that slow season is coming up.

I had the song in my head when I was trying to think up a good title for this thread, lol.
I pick socks and put them into boxes to send to stores across the country. It's not a glamorous job but I like it (just not the 4am work mornings and 6 day workweeks). Before this, I had been a cashier at a store and prior to that I stayed at home with the kiddos.
And I'm always happy to learn more about folks. ^_^

As long as you like it! If you hate the job it goes slower and is miserable. If you enjoy it, it goes by quicker and you don't dread waking up each day.
I start on my winter job at the Hallmark store tomorrow for a few months then back to the Park for me.

So true. It's about like today... We had to inspect socks that had been sent back. I didn't enjoy it at all. And the day felt like it went on forever.

Hey, Kent! I intend to make more of a presence now that things are in order.
I hope so too. So far, I can't complain too much outside of the really early mornings they have us do often. And yup. This will be my last move for as long as I can help it, haha. Granted, the second move wasn't far: across the street from my in-laws that we were staying with.

Definitely not forgettable ^^
