Ooooh! I love mythology! I've read the whole Percy Jackson series, it's good!

Right now I'm reading Fire in Beulah by Rilla Askew. It's really good. I'm reading it for a class.

Currently I am reading The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani. It's pretty much a mix of Harry Potter, the Hunger Games, and fairy tales. Almost done with the first one and moving on to the second one after that.

The main characters all get kind of annoying at times, Agatha and Sophie and Tedros all have a lot of very cringy ugh moments but I enjoy the way they play with the concepts of Good and Evil. None of the characters are truly good or evil even though they all get split that way and the side characters are lovely. Especially Hort. There is a part in the book where Agatha tells Hort "Some day when they read our story, they are going to love you best" (I wont speak of context, just the quote doesn't spoil anything) and its absolutely true but he's not the only one. So over all yes, despite the fact that the main characters make me -_- frequently, I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

I am currently reading The Indifferent Stars Above by Daniel James Brown, as well as That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis.

The Indifferent Stars Above - Daniel James Brown
This is a historical account of the Donner party, and so far I am very much enjoying it. The writing is gorgeous, and it is demonstrably well researched and aims to stay within the realm of history without diving too far into speculation. I'm maybe one fifth of the way through so far, and I'm keen to keep going.

That Hideous Strength - C. S. Lewis
This is the third and final book in Lewis's Space Trilogy, and I'm not far enough in to have many concrete thoughts yet. I read the first two books around 3 years ago, and found it very difficult to get into That Hideous Strength as it is very different than its predecessors (and twice as long!). I've heard mixed things about the book, though the general consensus among the people I've spoken to is that it is dense, rich, and possibly the best book in the series. I'm excited to continue, and fingers crossed I'll be able to complete this attempt.

Ooh, I read a different book about the Donner party. I'll have to check that one out sometime! I'm currently working through Ten Birds that Changed the World. It's probably a good book for what it is but I'm having a hard time with it right now because I'm not really in the mood for it, lol!

I'm just about finished with the 500 kingdoms series now. I'm on the final book, kinda sad because I'm quite enjoying them haha.
