Thanks Moonie it just hasn't been a good week for me and idk when it'll get better. Although! We were able to get a window unit ac so I haven't been dying from heat anymore, and it's my birthday tomorrow :3

This year, I had a lovely surprise though. My band mates made me a cake and made some munchies as well for band practice night, which was a day after my birthday. I was really surprised. ^_^

Yes, it was lovely of them. I have the best band in the world.

I am 33 now and I grew up with parents who made a fuss every birthday, every Christmas, etc. and had tons of friends who would come over to every party.

I am just very over the stress of it all, so now, I am perfectly content to have a nice and quiet time with my hubby. ^_^

If you didn't have a chance to experience that though, definitely, celebrate away. You can do whatever you want, it's your birthday after all.

Haha yeah I can imagine the stress that goes along with that. I don't like a lot of people in my space (and we don't know people here so yay no parties xD)

We always did something special on the day but I've only had like 4 birthday "parties" in my life lol. 1-3 and then a small one for my 17th when we visited a family friend. So, one day I'm sure I'll be over them too xD I really enjoy being able to do christmas again, and halloween. Even if that childlike wonder is gone haha

Yeah, I don't particularly enjoy my parents' parties even now because of the sheer volume of people that would attend. They're definitely all out when it comes to throwing them. xD

I'm doing things like making a favourite dish for dinner or watch a favourite film or order in food from my favourite restaurant. Small things like that.

I had big bashes until I was about 10 and then a gigantic party for my 18th. From then on, I would normally do a small get together with friends for the occasion up until I was 25. And from then on, I would just do what I described above.

For Christmas, while I was still back in my home country, we would go to my parents' for Christmas dinner. Since we've been here in New Zealand, the hubby and I would normally go away on holiday just before Christmas, so there is no point in celebrating really. And Halloween was never a thing in my home country but I do enjoy spending it online on my avi sites. ^_^

I love Halloween and Christmas. They are probably my two favorite holiday's. I passed out candy to the kiddos after work. I even got to dress up at work, which was fun. I went as a hockey fan this year. Last year I went as a modern Maleficent. After candy passing out, which ends around seven, mom and I went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. It was rather an enjoyable evening.
