The Dark Tower series is such an unusual tale, and a interesting style of writing. Really great story telling.

It really is! Funny anecdota - I actually started reading book 3 or so in the series. My uncle is a very heavy fantasy reader, and he'd loaned it to me. When I let him know that it was book 3 in the series, it turned out that he'd never even noticed and assumed it was a stand-alone and he just wasn't getting certain parts of it.

...*hides in a corner* I have yet to read The Dark Tower all the way through! It's so intimidating, and I'm afraid to start it because I just know it'll break my heart in the end. I own them all, though! I'm a horrible fan
K is for King Lear by William Shakespeare.

M is for The Mad Ship by Robin Hobb. (Talking about AMAZING series, omg)
@Cora: If I remember correctly - mind, this was many years ago - it stood on its' own pretty well, despite how friggin' confused I was. There were so many plotholes, tho, because of it.
@PWEEP: Awww, don't worry - you'll get around to it sometime. It is pretty intimidating and, as you said, even more so since you know it's probably (most likely) going to bring you all the emotional pain. It is worth said emotional damage, tho.

I have most of the books that tie into DT, as well. Ok, he does a lot of crossover stuff, I know. That's why I'm afraid to start the journey, 'cause I know I'll have to read all of them, too!
N is for Night Shift - King, of course. Does it count if it's a collection of short stories? And I assume we can use a short story from the collection for a letter, as well?
