Okay, I'm a big FMA fan so I decided to draw a picture of Edward Elric when he gets his auto mail blown to bits in a battle with scar. Here it is...

I want to know, does it look like this, the origional?

So... does my pic look anything like the origional? I'll let you know, my pic was just a sketch during study hall so don't start thinking that thats my best work!

his eyes don't look quite right. They seem to be looking forward, whereas in the actual picture they're looking sideways. The rest is wonderful, though!
FMA= <3

Thank you! I wanted to actually make the eyes more in depth and accidently made them turning the wrong direction..

Agreed with what Jenn said. It's not the exact same pose either -- in the anime shot, his whole body is sort of angled to the side while yours is completely straight standing up. Other than that, it's pretty much the same. :3 Great sketch; I love Edward. :]

Wow... I never knew other people liked Edward... or even FMA for that matter!

He looks more startled the way you have his face. I like it, but it looks quite different than the way the original face/eyes looks...

Well, sorry, but whenever I talk to anyone online about FMA or anything related to that they have no idea what I'm talking about!

Ack, that's terrible that you don't know or have anyone you can converse with. . . really, I figured FMA was rather popular. Maybe your neck of the woods just doesn't have many fans of it? :o

Your version of his facial expression looks more shocked, whereas the original looks more angry...
It's still pretty good, keep up the good work~

The eyes looks different, and the face is tilted in a different direction. Also, in your drawing, his [left, our right] arm looks kind of awkward. Also, in the original, his coat capeness thing is sweeping over his shirt, while in your drawing, it's at the side.

I have only one friend that likes it and I met her after the series and movie was over and done with so I had no one to go spaz about during the series... But it's okay! At least her and I can spaz over the series!

From the photo you gave us, it seems a bit off.
Are you sure that was the picture you were working off of?
I remember seeing a picture just like what you were drawing on my Full Metal Alchemist DVD cover. It looks really nice though. ^_^.

It looks somewhat like the original. But in my case, I think it looks likes the picture in the FMA movie opening.

Anyways, I guess you could fix up the eyes, and the hands. Hands are hard, so don't worry.

But it looks great overall! I wonder how it'd turn out if you colored it! o3o

That's actually pretty impressive, but the eyes look a little off.

The arm seems a little lower for some reason, too.

And the facial expression is a bit different. In the original, he looks pained. In your picture, he looks more shocked or surpised.

And the folds on your drawing don't match up either.
