Sally's eyes smiled themselves with how happy she was with her purchase. She'd tried of five different outfits and this was the ones he decided to wear with this necklace, from now on. She had put on a clamshell top that had small shell detailing for straps. The colors matched perfectly with her new necklace and her mouth followed her eyes with a big smile as she twirled around the room. She stopped, looking towards Matty and asked "How do I look?"
"Like I princess," Matty said, almost sarcastically as he rolled his eyes. He had no idea why he should care nor why she should care so much. He had nestled himself into a piled of seaweed and was going to take a nap until she decided to ask him, for the third time, how she looked.
"Don't be so cranky," she said and laughed. "I'm going to go find my father, you stay here and take your nap." She said, and with one elegant flick of her tail she was propelled in the direction of the door.
An alarm sounds signifying that sharks have entered the city.

Jade had been slinking around the merchants shops one table a time. Her long emerald colored hair flowing behind her as she moved. From behind she looked like a normal mermaid, just browsing the shops. But once someone glanced at her front and saw her adorned in golden armor they would know instantly that she was part of the Royal Guard. It was a little strange to see a female in the Guard, but she was good at her job. Very few people ever saw the female Guard members and it was indeed a sight when you were in the presence of one.
Jade was remarkably beautiful, considering her job. You'd suspect someone of her looks to be royalty or at least a wealthy merchants daughter and yet here she was in all her armored glory.
She was currently unequipped, her specially made trident and her shield were left in her room while she was on duty. She was ordered to patrol the merchants area in search of scammers. Her eyes were something to behold, she could tell from just a few glances if something wasn't real which would lead to miss-priced items. Which could then lead to some very unhappy Royalty or other consumers. All work she did was to make sure no riots ensued.
A slack job right? Sure, her duty was easy and probably seemed silly but it was something that needed to be done from time to time and she was one of the fastest at the job. She stopped at a shop and glanced over the jewelry. Her elegant green tail swaying a little behind her as she continued to look.
Suddenly she had a shocked look on her face and looked around at all the merpeople in the area. The alarm had sounded, sharks were in the city and all these people were in danger. "Everyone!" She stated loudly as she turned around and tried to gather everyone’s attention quickly. Surely most people would ignore her because she was a female Guard member and on top of that she wasn't even armed. "The alarm has sounded! Don't be alarmed but please, as quickly as you can return to your homes!" She turned towards the merchants table she was at and then swam up a little higher to be in the center of everyone. "Merchants, lock up your shops and get somewhere safe immediately!" Her voice was stern, even though deep down she was worried. She was unarmed and wouldn't have time to return to get her trident. These people, she wouldn't be able to protect. She just hoped another Guard was close by.

Sally heard the alarm herself as she had made her way slowly to her father's chamber. She sighed as she knew exactly what she needed to do. With a swift flick of her tail she had turned around again, her father and uncle had created a sort of haven underground for the royal family to use in case of emergencies. It was down in the lowest floor of the palace, near the dungeouns. The room was much more royal family friendly, but had no windows for the purpose of protection. They had placed it near the dungeons since there were guards already stationed there. As Sally came around the corner to the dungeons she saw Matty and continued silently with him towards the room.

Upon returning to her home, Mandy found her father motionless, thrown against the ground, with dark red blood weeping from an open wound on his head.
Mandy's main instinct was to look after for her father, but a small voice whispered in her ear'...whom ever did this could still be here, beware Mandy....'
Mandy cautiously looked around, the back door was open, and the door was broken. Glass lay a mess all around the background. Her father must have put up a good fight, being a veteran from the wars of old times, but the intruder was just that much better. Creeping out he door, careful not to make a noise, make a bubble (breath) or anything, in the corner of her backyard, Mandy saw him. A young mermaid with dark hair and a dark blue tail. He seemed familiar, even though he was unconscious. Mandy urgently called for help, knowing that she couldn't save her father by her-self. Pleading for anyone to come to the aid of her and her father, and maybe the intruder.

Sally had made it to the room and as she entered she saw many other members of her family scattered around the room. She sighed and laid down across a bed fashioned from some of the largest clam shells in the sea. She moved her tail lazily about as the guards swam through on their rounds. "I wonder what it would be like to be out in the town right now," She whispered to Matty and smiled "Let's go." She said and floated up from the bed.
"Miss, I don't think that's a good idea." Matty said as he followed her from the room.
((Edit: xD I typed [size=purple]))
After hearing the warning alarm, Trevor awaited what the guards would do. He swam in a half circle to turn around and see what they were discussing. In all the hustle of the other merpeople, the guard that had ahold of his cuffs had let them go. He had no intention to run or anything of that sort, but when he heard a small voice calling for help his curiosity sparked and he hollered at the guards "I think someone's in danger near by," He would have left himself but he was basically defenseless in his current state and he always protected himself over everyone else.

Jade swam around in a small circle making sure all the shops around her were closed up tight and that the merchants manning them had fled for safety. She was somewhat surprised that everyone locked up as quickly as they did, perhaps she had been being too down on herself. Either that or everyone heard the alarm and everything she had said had been in vein. Regardless, her duty was to protect these people and the Royalty. After making sure everything was clear she lowered herself back down to the shops level. It was eerily quiet now, maybe the sharks had not made their way to this area of the Business District. Although, to be safe she really needed her Trident.
“There just isn’t enough time for me to make it all the way to the Middle District and back…” She muttered in anger as she balled up her fist. She was so angry at herself for forgetting her weapon and shield in her house. The one time she actually left them by the front door, she really needed them. A heavy sigh escaped her soft lips as she thought for a moment and remembered something special that was added to her Trident.
Jade didn’t have your standard, run of the mill Trident that was issued by the Guard. Instead she had taken what money was left after her Father died and used to have a special Trident commissioned for her from another city.
She glanced around, making sure no one was close to her. She didn’t want anyone to know just how special her weapon was. The gem in the middle of her tiara that hung right in the middle of her forehead began to glow. It was glowing a bright red, she shut her eyes and held her hands out in front of herself and began to recite a few words quietly. “Come to me my faithful Fury, heed thy call my friend”
Within a few moments a small ball of light appeared before her, between her hands. Almost instantly the light turned the same color red as her tiara’s gem, and a trident of gold and silver appeared before her. Her eyes opened slowly and she reached her hand foreword and grasp the Trident in her hand. “Thank you my friend” She stated as she pulled the trident closer to her. A faint smile appeared on her face as she looked it over. “You did well coming to me so quickly Fury… Thank you”

Mandy heard the alarm, delayed reaction due to the circumstances, and quickly started to drag the lifeless body towards the underground chamber. Her father was once in the war ((as heard before)) and he had made sure that his house would be the safest in an attack. She knew exactly what the siren was for, they happened all the time, now-a-days anyway; but there was a time when one would not know the reason for that siren.... Mandy's thoughts swam away from her, but she soon shook her head to bring some sort of sense back. Now she was dragging him down the cold dark stone steps to the living quarters of the chambers. Looking around, once she had place her father on a bed, for the first aid. She found it under the sink(or what ever lol). She bandaged his head and laid a warm cloth on his head.
Swimming quite fast, Mandy swam to the door and bolted it from the inside with her key. The door made lots of clicking sounds and laid at a rest, closed and secure.

The guards seemed so preoccupied with the current attack they must not have heard him mention that someone was in danger. I'll have to go see for myself, Trevor thought as he slowly swam away from the guards. It's not like they would have held him long inside the palace dungeons, seeing as he had figured out how to get out a long time ago. Even though his hands were cuffed, he swam quietly into a group of merchants moving in one direction towards their homes and towards the sound of the scream Trevor was sure he had heard earlier. But as he approached the original point of the sound, he realized it had stopped. Crap, he thought as he realized he was entirely defenseless at the moment, he quickly made his way towards a seemingly empty alley in hopes that he could hide there until the attack was over. As he swam into the darkened alley he leaned gently against the wall and tried to make himself as small as possible.

Medea wasn't ready for this. As she heard the alarm, panic rose and bubbled underneath her skin. Her mind boiled with unwanted thoughts-- of fear. She started to bundle up her shop, pack it up. As fast as she could. She was throwing fine clothes into a trunk, pulling her jewlerry off the stands and placing them into individusal points in the same trunk. It took longer than the other's to pack up, so unfortunately, she was swimming last. She didn't know where to go, but she thought home was the best bet.
The red, white and black tail swerved as quickly as possible, moving her forward to the exit for Middle District. This was her way home, to her district. Her breathing was uncommonly broken at that moment, following the few merpeople ahead of her. She was trying to speed up, but it was almost as if her mind wasn't letting her. Then again, why panic? She was already heading toward her home. The answer was, of course, because she had just bumped into some merman with a blue tail, leaning in an alleyway. This was it. He was an ally. She was done for.
Her lips parted and gasped, and were about to scream. If she screamed, perhaps a gaurd to hear her. Maybe she could be safe in the end. Don't panic. Don't panic.

Trevor gasped when he was bumped into and turned to the lady, making shushing noises and saying "Calm down, I'm not going to hurt you." He said, lifting his hands up before he realized he was waving his cuffs in her face. Damn he thought as he swam deeper into the alley, realizing now that she could very well turn him in. He sighed and said "I was hoping that I could make myself small enough to not be seen," He whispered, hoping she still would not scream and get him in bigger trouble than he was probably already in.
Sally swam quietly back up the hallways until she reached the front door, only to be approached by her father.
"Where are you going, Sally?" He asked, with anger crawling at the edge of his voice.
Sally leaned her head down sheepishly and said "I...wanted to see what happened during the attacks," She admitted, she'd never been able to lie to her father and always reverted into a little girl again.
"In my defense, sir" Matty added "I was against it the whole time." He said and stood by the king's side.
"Go back to the shelter, now," the king hissed and called a guard over to escort Sally back.

Medea's eyes widened, and she felt her hand over her mouth instinctively. She would have expected him to knife her, or at least shove cloth in her mouth to shut her up. Failure to do so made her quieter.
"Why do you have handcuffs!?" She whispered harshly, but quietly. Her eyes darted between his face and his cuffs, hoping he wasn't arrested. She was doomed. it all ran through her head like a terrible play. He would kill her, hold her hostage, maybe even take her captive if she squeeled on him. Hence, her hand was up around her mouth still.

Trevor smiled sheepishly, "Well," he said quietly, trying to keep himself calm and collected to not alarm her, "The royal family does not look lightly on gambling.." He admitted, he was surprised to not be recognized but maybe this lady doesn't spend much time in the slums gambling. But most people no someone who is into gambling and Trevor was well known for not getting others in trouble if he was. He looked down the alley and gasped and shark was swimming past, he motioned for silence at the girl with his finger to his lips and pushed himself against the wall, hoping this shark's nose wasn't especially good.

Sally made her way back to the shelter, mumbling to Matty the entire way "I just want to know what's happening." She was annoyed but she knew she'd have to obey because she knew her dad probably sent a guard to follow her back. She turned and justified her thoughts.

Mandy woke suddenly to a harsh voice..
"miss, Miss, MISS!"
Looking up all mandy could see was a dark shadow of a face.. she could tell it was a man, from his voice and his build.
cautionsly getting up, mandy scanned the area.
"where am i?" she asked seeing no broken glass, not damages door, and no father!
"you are safe"
thats all the man said as he swam away, almost into nothingness, for he just disapeared...
Mandy took another look around, trying to gain her co-ordinates ((i forget the word for it.. i'm sure theres a better word)).
She couldn't see anyone, but she felt a strange feeling that someone was watching her.. and like in all the stries she had been told in her youth, she remembered that when someone felt watched, the more often than not were.
walking in the general direction the mer-man had gone... Mandy checked her back every now and then, and sometimes she swore she could see a small dark figure duck behind a coral or a large rock.

Crystal woke up and yawned. Then she looked out her window. her eyes widened as she realized what time it was. She quickly swam out of her bed and swam itno teh kitchen. No one was tehre. She elt out a sigh of relief. suddenly a quest at the inn walked in and asked for waffles. Crystal nodded and started prep[aring the food as everyone else came in and placed their order. When she was done she gave them their food and then swam out fo the inn. She would't need to return until after dark.
She swam into the bussiness distriuct and looked at all teh stands. Nothing interested her so she swam away from teh district.
She swam towards teh surface at a great speed and broke through the water's surface with a great burst of water. She did in a flip in the air and the sun caught and iulluiminated her golden hair. In less than a second teh moment dissappeared and she dove back into teh water. She noticed mermen looking at her she flashed them a radiant brilliant smile full of health and happiness. Some smiled back but otehrs nervously squirmed under her beauty. She was used to it.
She began swimming away and bumped into what seemed like a couple. "I'm so sorry." she said flustered after crashing into them ( blane and lina ). She looked up from teh sea floor and her light borwn eyes met teh boy's turquiose ones.
