((OOC thread and profile application here))
Today had started off normal, running from spot to spot between ruined buildings, hiding from Demons, searching for Leona deBanza. The Medic had spotted many Ranger stations, yet dare not approach, instead sneaking about like the shadow she had trained to be. The pale-haired woman sprinted up some stairs, taking them two at a time, and with painfully slow motions, opened the roof entrance door. It, to Hero's surprise, did not squeak as most rusted metal doors did, silently carrying out her movement. Once wide enough, Hero peaked into the day, which was dark and damp from the heavy rain only half an hour before. A Demon sat there, a flying sort, with dinosaur-like wings and a hairless rat-like body. Hero took a small mirror, using it to see if there were any other Demons on the roof. No, however, there were several circling above it.
At this point in time, there were several things she could have done. But, instead of being stupid and exposing her position, slowly closed the door and made her way back down. In the lobby, however, was a prowling-type Demon. He was the size of a van, with the shoulders of a dog and a contorted human-like body. Hero found a room on the second floor, where she deemed safe enough to turn on her radio. "Contact..." the girl hissed, "Medic Caslon trapped in latitude 51.369N, longitude, 00.051W. Requesting strong-armed aid for main lobby and roof of building named Roiben. Current location; second floor, third apartment down to the left. Over." Hero released the talk button on her walkie talkie, hoping the normal help channel hadn't changed. She pressed herself against the wall, a pistol clamped in her nervously shaking hand. Below, she could hear the Demon beginning to smash things. It sounded as if another had joined them.
The static on the radio was her only responce, and Hero tuned the channel to what was the regular demon-report channel. "Contact, Medic Caslon. Lat. 51.396N, long. 0.051W. Several in main lobby and roof of building named Roiben. Requesting strong-armed aid. Over." Once more, Hero released her talk button, pressing the radio to her chest, listening as a Demon -probably the first she saw- pushed open the stairwell doors. It could probably smell her, she realized, and crawled into a corner, near the window, praying for the aid she desperately needed. Taking on what sounded like three, giant-sized prowler Demons was impossible with her "burn" style hand pistol.
There was, in fact, four of the massive Demons in the lobby. A fifth was crawling up the stairs, sniffing the ground as it went. It could indeed faintly smell Hero's sweat on the ground, ears too covered in its slimey muscle-like exterior to hear. The Demons on the roof had exceptional hearing, though Hero was too far into the building for them to make her out. However, their eyesight was bore, for their pupils were too sensative to the sun's natural light, and thus could only make out general, blurry shapes while in this world. They circled above, waiting to hear the sounds of something living, so that they could hunt it.

Kamilia reloaded her pistol, aiming at a demon from about fifty feet away. It wasn't too far, but the demon itself was rather big and alert, so one shot either means giving away your position or a nice big wound. The demon was around the size of a van, but the skin was hairless and had sort of a dog-human look to it. She adjusted her glasses, narrowing her eyes at the thing before finally taking a shot. The bullet spiraled out of the gun barrel, hitting the demon in the eye. It was lodged inside, but at least it create more problems this way. The demon roared as it threw a fit running in random directions trying to swipe at the person who shot it. She was a bit scared, mostly because she only had an upturned SUV as protection against the monster.
She almost punched the car in front of her when she heard the sound of claws against gravel coming at her. Shit, shit, shit! Great, now I regret being born an evoker, cause if I was a convoker I could have just mind raped my way out of this. She started backing away at a fast pace, shooting her bullets at the beast only to have them miss, barely pierce the skin, or not even wound the thing all together. She raised up a hand summoning a spark of fire before releasing it onto the demon and burning its left leg. It cried out again, giving her enough time to run behind a building. It was there that she was able to find some rocks to pelt at the monster, which only served to anger it more. She groaned a great deal looking for water or something so that she could at least magnify her amount of electric power.
Using her telekinesis, she lifted up a broken piece of drywall throwing it like a frisbee at the monster, but it shattered on impact, only grazing parts of the skin. She took another shot at it, this time getting the beast square in the skull. She almost cheered for herself, but remmebered to completely eliminate it before saying anything. She used her pyrokinesis, having a stream of fire come out the palm of her hand and slam into the head of the demon, burning the skin. She then used her electrokinsis, clapping her hands to produce a spark that turned into a continuous flow of power in between her hands. She leaped at the demon, slamming her palm into the nape of the demon before it had thrust her into a wall. She groaned, sitting up, but was happy. The demon had been harmed, starting to lose it's balance. Kamilia staggered to get up facing the monster again. She had a bit more work ahead of her before she was able to compeltely kill it off.

Leona found herself on her usual patrols around the city. Oh sure, she could have spent her idle time at one of the Stations, but she preferred to keep herself busy. If she ran into demons today, or someone in need of aid, even better! It would certainly keep her occupied anyways. Far busier than say, staying around a station and waiting for calls. Playing cards or twiddling thumbs or... well, whatever it was they did in Stations. She was hardly around there enough to know. Just give her her trusty Cajones (her vehicle's name actually), and her grand arsenal and oooh she was set!
And that was when her radio gave a familiar crackle. Putting the coordinates into Cajones' navigation system, she grinned as she was on her way. Oh yeah, better let them know. "Help is on the way Medic Caslon. Over!" Leona commented into the radio. And as was always the case, her vehicle could certainly traverse these streets quickly! It was large enough to drive over anything that might happen to be in its way, and tended to take an almost straight path. In no time, actually, Leona pulled up in front of the Roiben building. Taking a few choice weapons out of the vehicle, she strapped a few onto her back, kept a pair at her sides, and of course the claws in her pocket.
She pressed a button over her visor, scanning the building from the outside to get a good feel for where the demons were. "Bingo..." she commented, as she found a fire escape ladder. Climbing up it, she started up the building quickly. Of course... the demons could hear her coming. That was okay. "You want some of me?" Leona asked, a brow raised. "I must warn you, I'll give you heartburn!" Hanging onto the fire escape with one hand, the other she pulled out a smaller pistol armed with explosive rounds. She was a great shot even like this, and it tore through the demon's maw and up through its head. As the massive body fell, she pressed hard against the fire escape, hearing it thud below. She had read what... three? Four? No... four. "Come and get me beasties!" She said, grateful these were a slow bunch and went after her the same way. They fell much the same way too, and satisfied she landed upon the roof. Where anotehr demon lied waiting. For this one, as it leaped, she merely ducked and allowed it to go flying over here. Idiots.
Coming in from the top. Goggles still down, she could see one of the demons coming up a flight of stairs... and a human reading as well. No wait... two? Oh THIS was going to be a pain! Which one had called? Bringing forth a massive stun gun, she grinned a slight, dismissing these thoughts. Finding her way atop a nearby desk, but unseen by the demon, she fired. The charged ammunition heading straight for the demon's maw. If she got lucky, it would be paralyzed and fall down the stairs it had climbed. She could grab the poor Medic and haul her to, well, wherever she was supposed to be! But... what of the other person here... no. She couldn't leave anyone behind.
She was halfway glad it would not be so easy however, because she had plenty more friends strapped to her back to introduce the beasties to!

Kamilia smirked reloading her Glock once again. She was a little wounded yes, she would feel it in the morning, yes, was she going to die? No. She ran to her left, watching the demon try and face her before releasing a barrage of shots, all hitting with dead accuracy this time. One hit the shoulder, another a leg, and finally the last one hit the demon's windpipe. The demon collapsed to the ground, it's one eye still open. She felt a bit worse that it took this long to kill one demon, but then again if it was over, it was over. She turned to look at the building. It was called Roiben, one building that she wasn't too familiar with. Where there others here? She couldn't tell, but then decided to go inside, maybe finding a few more of those dipshits to kill out of her own feelign of inferiority. She walked to the other side of the building distantly seeing a vehicle parked nearby. She looked for a doorway into the building, quickly finding one and then entering. Were there any other demons left or no? She always missed the action.

Hero could hear the sounds of fighting happening below. Did that mean reinforcements had come? But no one responded. Just then, her radio crackled, a savior voice answering. "Copy, over," the medic responded, turning it off and placing it back into one of her two constant bags. Crawling out, the girl began to make her way closer to the stairs, when the Demon abruptly caved in the door, coming into the building. The medic-in-training swallowed a scream, diving for the floor when fire opened. Oh, god, today WAS her lucky day! Hero looked at the stunned Demon, standing up and running over to where the Ranger had been. "Ah... Ranger Leona!" Hero said, half in disbelief, half in relief. The woman could hear the Demon stirring behind her, stepping beside the Ranger and readying her gun. Though, it shuddered a moment and fell, unable to move.
"Requesting permission to aid ally forces downstairs, Ranger," Hero said formally, saluting her superior. This was the very woman who she had been tasked to find only half a week ago! Certainly, this was some sort of miraculous event, a record for medics-in-training, who were not skilled in tracking. "I am medic-in-training Hero Caslon, charged under your guidance until medical training is complete!" As trained, the girl saluted once more, before going back at ease and glancing over her should to the stairway. The sounds of battle continued raging, and would until Ranger Leona gave the permission for her to do her job and make sure no one but the enemy was hurt.

Leona blinked, at hearing her name called, raising a brow. Now was SO not the time for introductions, now was the time to kick some ass! "Permission granted, we can complete the formalities later! I've got your back!" she replied quickly. Man, what was it with people during a mission and all of the formalities? The demons were NOT going to wait for tea and biscuits were served before they attacked now were they?
The stun gun wasn't going to be enough here, that was for sure. And in a building, explosive rounds would not serve her too well. In the end she voted on her trusty plasma gun, making her way forward. She found herself another vantage point, this one at the top of the stairs. Heat visor still on, she fired downwards, catching the demon closest to her new ward in the head as it leapt towards Caslon.
Still weird thinking of having a ward but... no no! No time! She could comment later, fire now! Moving downwards, she leapt for a nearby bookcase, perching on top of it and firing down at another demon. Oh she loved the plasma gun! Oh who was she fooling, she loved them all! Question was, would any of these demons give her a challenge? They were all small fry, certainly there was a boss demon somewhere in all of this mess... No. Right now, she had to focus on making sure no demons reached the new Medic! That would kind of suck otherwise...

Hero sucked in her breath, following Leona until they got to the stairs. The two moved down a level, where her Ranger jumped onto a bookcase, firing a Demon down. There didn't seem to be any left, and no sounds could be heard. Hero, even without permission, crept to the door, pushing it open into the lobby. There was no one there but a Lamia. Hero slowly lowered her gun, then holstered it, double-checking to make sure the area was clear. It was, but generally too open. "Ally, we request you to follow into the stairwell," Hero said, motioning for the woman to follow. Waiting to make sure she did, the Stalker fell back, close to the staircase, where Leona could easily defend them from both above, and in front.
As soon as the Lamia came, Hero had a hand-pilot device in one palm, the other tapping away with surprising speed. "Medic Caslon, tell me where you've been hit. It may not feel like much right now, but there have been cases of eggs being forced into the body from a mere graze. You don't want to tell me your fine until I tell you first," the girl said severely, glancing up only briefly to Kamilia. The Stalker pulled a strange piece of equipment from her back bag, motioning for the Lamia's hand, and clamping it onto her finger. "Breathe deep, and slow. In... out..." Her said soothingly, with a friendly smile, as if they were back home playing a game of cards.

Kamilia heard some voices. Which faction were they from? She didn't have much time to ponder this as a demon had leaped at her. She pushed back by firing a bullet at near point blank range. The recoil pushed her back into a wall, but the demon itself was disoriented and bleeding. She knew she shouldn't be showing off her abilities to anyone who wasn't a Lamian, but now wasn't the time. She fired a bullet at the demon, lighting it on fire just before it hit the monster, making it cry out in pain. She finished it with a few more bullets before seeing a two Stalker women coming in.
She stayed silent, only looking at them before nodding and following them. From what she had been told, she was supposed to keep silent when it came to other factions, at least about her powers, but she wasn't really interested in that. "Just a few bruises on my abdomen." She breathed slowly as she felt the machine on her finger. She stayed calm, not really nervous, but wondered about the two, at least why they were here. From what she knew, Medics didn't really play on the battlefield, unless she was just misinformed.

Leona had decided to keep the plasma pistol upon her, since it was considerably lighter than most of her weapons. As the Medic dealt with the... wait. Leona had caught sight of how that lady had attacked, definitely a Lamia. Not that it mattered here, she could care less. What mattered to Leona was keeping her new Medic safe, and making sure those demons didn't step foot in this hallway!
"Go ahead, try it," she told the demons wit a slight grin, holding the gun still in hand. Then again, in these situations she always had hold of some gun or another. She kept her visor down as well, in case any of the demons tries some... surprise tactics. Not on her watch buddy!
Man... why was she getting a Medic just now anyways? Oh well, again, not the time to think about it! So not the time...

"Ok, blood pressure's regular. Breath rate average. Your Vitamin C is down, but that's ok. Nothing bad in your bloodstream... Lets take a look at those bruises," Hero said, taking the machine clamp from her finger, and placing a strange, circular stamp-like mechanism on her neck. "Breathe normally... Relax. Think about going to the beach, standing in the sand with the warm sun on your face, a soft breeze running across your skin... The sound of the waves gently lapping up on shore," the girl instructed rhythmically, in a strange, meditation-like tone that was meant to relax her patients. Hero's sing-song voice worked well for it, the descriptions easily coming to life.
After a few seconds of silence, Hero looked up with a smile. "You're all checked out. Those bruises are nasty, your muscles will hurt in the morning. I suggest some aspirin, or any general, light-weight painkiller, before bed. Hero took the stamp-like thing off Kamilia, "Be careful with your back for a few days. It'll be weak from being slammed into, but nothing major. You got lucky, Ally. All clear, Ranger," Hero told Leona, knowing not to use a first-name basis in front of a Lamia. The medic-in-training put all her gear away, taking out a visor similar to Leona's and slipping it on. The woman clicked on its back light, before changing some sort of setting. "There's a back door through Roiben, it'll be easier access than any other route to your transportation." Hero didn't know her superior that well, and wasn't sure if Leona would take well to the suggestions, but felt it needed to be said. Many Rangers weren't geared with UAV-operated map systems.
Hero glanced to their Ally, unsure what to do with her now. That was until, however, a rather large crash came from the lobby. It wasn't as if something had fell, but rather was being pulled into something else. It wasn't normal, that was for sure, and then a superfluous sound came, like the ripping of a piece of denim. Never having heard it before, Hero peeked through the window of the door, gasping and stepping back. "Ranger, it's a Rift portal!" Hero whispered, her voice staggered in fear. Demons came crawling out of it, tiny baby spawns pulling themselves along the floor with human-like arms. They had no legs, and no heads yet, but a set of teeth on the top, which constantly chewed at the air, searching for something to put into their razor-like teeth. Hero looked to Leona, wondering if they should leave, or call for backup? Wasn't there a channel for this kind of thing! Then, Hero looked to the Lamia ally, wondering what that woman would do.

Kamilia kept breathing, trying to relax. She knew that they had probably seen that fiery bullet, but even if they did, she didn't say who she was, or rather anything else. "Alright, thanks." She looked at the two, secretly wondering who they were. It wasn't like they gave a name. At least they had performed a check up on her, although she already knew she needed more Vitamin C. A back door? She wondered how her superiors would react to her being with Stalkers, but shrugged it off. Most Stalkers were a combination of Samurai and Lamians right? When a giant crash came from the lobby Kamilia pretty much bit her lip from releasing a string of curses. We're SOL aren't we? She heard a ripping sound somewhere and saw the Medic looking out the window of a door.
Kamilia cringed when she found out it was rift portal, they needed to close it or someone else would end up getting ripped. Demons spawn came out, all seemingly malformed or just plain defective. She pulled out her gun, still having three shots before she had to reload again. She didn't want to run, for she or those stalkers would just have to deal with them when they were bigger, if they ever did end up growing. She god ready to aim her first shot, pushing her glasses back so she could aim properly. And then ran closer, firing a bullet at the top of what seemed like a mouth.

Leona wasn't above taking suggestions really, she just wasn't used to it. "Thank you, we'll do just that," she agreed, looking towards the Medic with a grin. Hey, anything that made the job easier was more than welcome by her! Besides, they had three to get out of here alive with, did they not? Upon hearing the ripping sound, Leona's eyes widened. She knew that sound well... far too well. "Medic, request backup ASAP!" she said. She knew there was no outrunning one of these things. Not in the end.
"No need!" Came a new voice, which made Leona stiffen.
"Not him..." she muttered with irritation, although she knew right now, he was just what they needed. But why was he... oh no time to ask questions! Coming in from the doorway above them, there was a figure just about EVERYONE knew upon sight. With scars across his body, lightly tanned, well knit features, light blue eyes, and shortly cropped blond hair... it could only be Alanestral. Alan... leader of the Samurai and a Sentinel of incredible abilities.
In one hand he bore a thick, heavy blade. In the other was a massive shield. And he was heading forward. "Hang tight ladies, this will be over before you know it!" And he said it with such confidence, it was clear the captain held not a doubt in his mind.
"Medic, please stay back and recover allies as needed," Leona said. She noted the girl's fear... and knew right now the girl would only get killed going into a rift. She looked towards the Lamian, knowing she couldn't give that one an order, but hoping the girl would know what to do just the same. Kill the small ones before they grew too many in number.
She gritted her teeth, and headed forward. Ramses would never forgive her if she didn't provide backup at least, in that rift. but who knew what would lie inside? And would the new Medic actually stay behind..or rush in? Much like a younger version of herself had once...

Hero looked up at Alan as he came in, raising a brow to find him in such a spot. "Speak of the devil," the girl commented to Leona under her breath. With him here, though, she doubted they'd need the backup. Hero nodded to her new instructions, knowing as well as the others she was on no place to be on the battlefield. Instead, stepped even further back from the door, keeping an eye on their Allies. She would not rush in, but would rather be smart, and wait until someone was down before using her stealthy abilities to sneak in and aid them good enough to combat again. The drill was so rehearsed and perfected in her training, that Hero felt no different from then to now, the danger still all the real. Hero watched Alan charge in, rolling her eyes and wondering how anyone could be quite like that?
Would they actually be going into the Rift? Hero certainly hoped not! It would be considered treason to abandon a group, even if they headed into an area she wasn't ready for. Maybe they could simply wait until stronger Allies arrived? The girl stopped thinking as she noticed another figure in the brawl now. This one was strange... Cloaked entirely in black, with not an inch of any skin showing. A strange hand raised up from under it, thorned it looked like, and tattooed... and beaded! So strangely elaborate, Hero couldn't put it in any category but Lamian.
The Mistress of Laima knew none but Kamilia would recognize her, not even Alanestral, the leader of the Samurai. She walked in through the front door, finding one of her Evokers fighting with such brutality, it only made the woman smile under her hood. Several of the spawn tried to bite the Convoker, but when they neared her feet, turned and suddenly lashed at each other. In this way did the Mistress move forward, rounding around the edge of battle, sending the enemies upon each other, yet not quite involving herself in offensive yet. Coming towards the door where the Ranger and Medic were stationed, raised her hand once more.
Hero audibly gasped, seeing the black aura around the arm that often surrounded Demons. The Mistress clenched her fists, and two Demons sprung from nothing on either side of the door. One was composed of pounds of steel, and crackled with electricity, the size of a large dog. The other was the size of a cat, though twice as long as one, and composed of rock, with fire edging along its spine and tail. The Mistress nodded to them, and the Constructs began pounding whatever spawn came too near to the Stalkers. "Little Kamilia," the leader of Lamia mentally spoke to her Evoker, "do you plan on invading that Rift?"

Kamilia kept shooting at the little monsters, charging her bullets with busts of extra fire to have more impact and stunning them with lightning before they could even get a hit at her. She almost froze at the sight of the Mistress of Lamia, but instead remembered the situation at hand. She saw as the mistress had made those demons kill each other. Only from a skilled Convoker oculd someone do that without barely a thought. She saw two demons appear, looking like they could kill (her). She listened in, in her head, hearing the mistress's words. That's the only way to make sure spawn don't keep coming out right? She knew that it wasn't a good idea to go in there, but it was an even worse idea to let that rift get bigger. She also had a sense of foreboding. What if she didn't make it back? Would she be remembered or missed? She shook it off, knowing that she or someone esle would have to before twenty four hours were up.

Oh great, this was just great. She loved a good fight as the next person, but... they wasn't nearly enough people to enter the Rift and close it safely, now were there? To make matters more joyful, her former boss was here too. Joy of all joys. After this, she promised herself, she was getting a really good drink. That was if... no when. They WERE getting out of this alive.
That was when another newcomer entered, and seeing two new demons come to aid, well... Leona knew it was a VERY powerful Lamian. She let things not distract her however, mentally marking the two summoned demons as targets to avoid, as from her perch she pulled out her plasma charged rifle again and continued firing upon the masses of deformed demons. Man, was there an end to them? Idly she wondered how Alan was faring, when she realized he hadn't entered the actual portal, but was helping take out the demons first. That was new, she expected him to go right after the boss demon, no questions asked!
But, gaging the odds... they still had a snowballs chance in Hell. This would only buy time to see if more allies arrived but if they did not... well. Then things would get REALLY interesting. As the mass was thinning however she knew their time for decisions was coming to a close... soon it would probably be made for them! Oh yes, after this, tequilas on the house.

"This is the truth," the Mistress replied. She then turned, bowing her head and beginning to concentrate. Truly focus upon all the minds of the Demons in the room. The spawn all squirmed, stopping, staring at the Convoker. "Go!" the woman demanded, her voice echoing with the power of the comand. And, surprisingly, they all obiently went into the Rift. "Come, Allies, we shall close this thing together," the Mistress said, calmly walking for the Pocket, expecting Kamilia to be by her side. "In this battle, I shall be protecting you, Kamilia. You must learn to use the far reaches of your powers before we fight side-by-side." Above all, the Mistress was a teacher, not an Ally. She could be harsh during one lesson, and then unconsiderably kind afterwards.
Hero looked to Leona, a brow raised. "This is getting really fucking weird," the medic-in-training groaned. She watched as the Constructs, instead of following the Mistress, went and stood guard near Hero. The girl raised a brow, surprised that they could follow orders, even while in a separate dimension. It made her question how exactly powerful the Convoker was. Still, they had to close that Rift! And with no more enemies outside it, Hero hesitantly moved forward, eyeing Alan. The girl stuck smiled politely, though what she really wanted to do involved a pistol and his ass. But that was crude an unnessacary, besides, they needed his hand in this. "Nice to see you well, Alan," Hero mentioned, "I hope it's not the last." Then, she stepped through.
Unfortunately, the Rift portal was a foot or so higher than the ground in the Pocket. As a result, Hero fell on her backside. Her contents spilled out, and the girl hurridly put them all back in before someone else had a chance to land on them. Moving clear of the portal, she screamed as a Demon swung from the sky, nearly biting off her head. Her burn pistol took care of its maw, an instant reaction that came from being shot at during training. The Demon fell beside her, a ranking odor coming from it that made Hero want to hurl. She heard a soft laugh, and looked over to see the cloaked Lamian woman staring at her. "Are you laughing at me?" Hero challenged, even though she knew it was not the place.
"Not quite. I am laughing at your vocal and instinctive reactions, and how far they differ," the strange Convoker replied seriously. Hero raised a brow, not quite sure she understood what the woman was saying, but she turned and began watching the Demons again. Hero looked up to the Rift portal, wondering how they were supposed to get into that thing. Build a step-stool of bodies? It sounded morbid, but that was the only thing they had. Then, for the first time, Hero took a true look around. She supposed, to the Lamians, it would've felt like home, but to Hero it was as strange as Hell. The horizons were burnt orange, ashes sweeping into the sky to block any sort of light reaching their eyes. The ground was rivered with small, pencil-hair cracks. The only reason Hero could see them was because of the strange emittance of orange light from under the surface.
The place was thankfully small. They currently were on a tall platform, about a story and a half up in the air, without any sort of pillar to hold them up. The pillar had nothing around it to secure them from falling, and the portal hung above it like a giant, gaping eye. There was a single, narrow staircase that wound down. It had no banister, and was unbelievably steep. All the Demons, it looked like, were air-born, and only five feet from the platform was a larger demon. His arms were his wings, the elbows reaching a good foot above his head as he sat hunched over. His knees reached his hairy, bearded chin. Yellow eyes bore up, watching the group. Scars ran through the matted, blood-caked brown fur, reaching from his hairy pig-like snout to his bat-like toes. His arms also resembled a bat, and his torso that of a very muscular duck, though all covered in the fur. Hero hadn't ever seen a Demon like this, and it scared her.

Kamilia nodded silently as she went into the rift with the mistress. Very well. It was true that she didn't know the true extent of her power, only training the three that she knew rather than branching out a slight. She landed a bit ungracefully, having to crouch down the moment she touched ground. She looked down seeing that they weren't really held up by anything other than a platform. She looked at the other areas, somewhat used to everything there, minus the large demon. That itself was still a bit funky to her. She got ready to shoot with her gun, as a demon had tried to clip her head off with a swinging arm, she narrowly dodged, leaning further back and then letting out a fireball into it's left wing.
The demon cried out in anger before trying again, this time being able to scratch her arm. "Son of a bitch." Her arm almost spasmed, but she had grabbed hold of it before it could do so. Kamilia ground her teeth in pain, feeling the blood run down, but didn't say a word. She glanced at the Mistress of Lamia for a second to see what she would do, her being less headstrong of course. She wondered if the other stalker and the samurai would come into the portal as well, but they probably would. It made sense to have more powerful members in a team trying to close a rift. She looked up seeing a larger demon than the one that attacked her. It was huge, dwarfing her size and was pretty nasty looking, even for her. She couldn't put a finger, but she had seen it somewhere before, maybe in her younger years. She didn't delve in on the thought too much as they still needed to take care of the real problem.

"Yeeeah, I think fucking weird's an understatement eh?" Leona asked, quite in agreement with the Medic. But seriously, to be able to do everything shown here, the abilities of the Lamia must have been like, way up there. Not that she really knew much about Lamias and their abilities mind you. But she had seen enough at work to know what they saw here wasn't even close to ordinary!
Alan looked towards Hero with a bright, oblivious smile. "You as well!" he replied. "Miss Hero, right" he asked.
"Now really isn't the time for pleasantries yanno. Tea and cookies later people!" Leona commented, causing Alan to look back and smile.
"Okay then, I'm holding you to that Miss DeBezna!" And with that, he walked through the Rift. Leona was close behind. Unfortunately, the entrance was indeed suspended, and even with her agility, she found herself landing on top of Alan in a most sad way. "Ah, Miss Debezna, much as much as I..."
"Don't even finish that statement..." Leona growled dangerously, as she got up and looked around. Alan laughed, shaking his head. As she did, a Demon came swirling down. This close, she instinctively reached out for her claws, and slashed the demon's chest open. "Eat THAT you little bastard," she commented with a grin.
Alan noted her choice of weapon, amused. Seeing his look however, Leona had quickly shifted to a poison gun. She knew what he was thinking. Now to see if ammunition could get close enough to their little friend. She fired her poison ammunition, knowing it would help in a longer battle. It would figure, however, if the beast was immune. Just then, as she readied the shot and fired, anotehr demon came from behind to try and knock her off the platform. Alan, however, blocked it, receiving a gash in his shoulder for the troubles. The shot now was at least fired. She needed to determine what it was immune to, and weak to. As such, she was readying to fire another round, the net would be lightning...

Hero watched first as Kamilia got scratched, and then Alan. Neither of the wounds were too terrible, however. The Medic took to staying by the cloaked figure, who lurked under the portal, the Demons stayed away from her, or so the woman noticed, or if one tried to, it promptly glided in another direction. The figure did not even seem to notice the Medic, instead intently staring down at the largest Demon. "Shogun of the Samurai," the Mistress called to Alan, moving for the stairs, "It is time to end this silly thing. Come along, too, little Medic." Hero blinked, unsure if she really wanted to follow the Convoker without permission from Leona. However, she did not want to be out of the safe zone of the lady.
So, reluctantly, Hero followed. The Mistress smiled, knowing that the Stalker and her Evoker would cover them as they made their way down. The Medic, with her bulky bags, had a hard time with the narrow, steep steps, and eventually just jumped a few feet, landing near the Mistress. "Shogun, do what you are known for best," the Mistress urged, with a pale teeth from under her hood, a glint of gold in her eyes. "It shall take me a bit longer to fully reign this Demon in. Little Medic, stick to your basic training." Hero nodded, not daring to do anything than this woman said. She seemed so serious, so strong... Perhaps she was the Mistress? But... It couldn't be! Hero had heard that the Mistress of the Lamia was a Demon! Yet, as the Convoker rose her arm, that was studded with pale, white spikes, beaded and tattooed, Hero had to wonder... Was this thing lurking under the cloak Demon?
The fliers, at sensing what the three below were doing, instantly shifted targets. They swarmed for Alan and the Mistress. However, at meeting the nearly-constant barrier the Mistress had, turned upon a dime and began chewing one another apart. The wall was visible with accumulation of them, as was it when they fell, making a sort of demented fairy-ring around the two. The Mistress hadn't moved, her hand still raised towards the largest Demon, her intent focus making Hero's hair raise. The Medic looked up for Leona, then to the Evoker, wondering if either needed her attention.

Alan glanced over at being called. He so hated formal titles really, but it could not be helped. "Can't argue there!" he replied. Of course the Shogun had a few things to say about it, but even he knew there was a time and a place for such things. Inside a Rift certainly wasn't one of those times now was it?
"It's alright," Leona told Hero with a nod when the girl was asked to follow. After all, Leona would make sure no harm came to the Medic. Especially not here. It was easy to get hurt in places like this... far too easy to get lost as well. She wasn't about to let that happen either.
Guns in head, she opted for her plasma cannon. It wasn;t really a cannon per se, just a REALLY large gun she normally kept strapped to her back. She simply could not think of a better time to use it. With the faintest hint of a grin, she steadied herself and aimed for the beast's open maw. "Bullseye," she commented with a grin, as one landed square inside. Shame it only chipped a tooth, which came down towards them, breaking apart beside Hero. That was fine, Leona had plenty more where that came from, and as a claw came down, se fired again, managing to knock a finger off. "SWEET!" she said, quite pleased. It was made all the better by Alan's look of distatse at the weapon. Eat that!
Alan however had bigger things to be doing, as he brought his blade out. He supposed it was time to use his esper abilities, was it not? Using his ice charged shield as a focus, he drew out his own ice magics, and thrusting the shield forward sent out a wave of ice. A razor thin wave, but he knew deadly sharp, launching straight for the beast's man arm in an attempt to severe it. He launched a second 'ice disc' much the same, for the other arm this time. If it connected like he hoped, the effect would certainly be impressive...

The demon man, called Neptuk, jumped into the air as the discs came for him. He used his arms to propel him, flipping up and coming down just before the second disk was launched. This severed his ankle off, causing the thing to stumble and fall. Its massively long, gangly arms were still in work, however, dragging it swiftly for Alan. The creature threw itself back into the air, using the wings upon its arms to hover there. A few of the creatures in the air around it, smashed themselves against the bleeding ankle, reforming the deranged foot. "Regeneration..." Hero whispered. She'd studied about those sorts of Demons. There were very few ways to kill them... And this sort was particularly difficult. "Alan!" Hero cried, trying to carry her voice over the wails of dying Demons. "Cut out its heart! It's HEART!"
As Hero shrieked, Neptuk fell down near Alan, gleaming eyes resting upon him. A strange grin stretched out across his maw, and swung a massive arm to smash against the Shogun's side, the other coming straight-on, its movements sluggish as it fought the Mistress' mind-rape. The beast was slowing, its eyes becoming more and more vacant, yet it stumbled backwards, realizing what was happening. Hero watched, fascinated, as it called out. The swarming demons tried at the Mistress with more vigor, inching the barrier in closer. The aura of the woman beside her was nearly burning, flaming with a strength the girl was not used to. So many colors, all her emotions focused and sharp, like a blade that never dulled. It sliced cleanly, a scalpel in Hero's mind. The same aura was beginning to edge on Neptuk's figure, steadily growing. Now would be the ideal time for Alan to make his move...
