I read the Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards a year ago, and recently I discovered they had also made a TV movie.
Personally, I loved the book. It wasn't a beautiful book, it was an emotional book. It was so well written, the feelings of the characters were so well transmitted that various times I felt like either grinning like an idiot or bawling like a baby.
In front of people on the public bus.
But I digress. How did you feel when you read Kim Edwards' fascinating book?

I was choked up and on the verge of crying a third of the time, Angry for another third, and happy for the rest.
At the end I felt lonely. It's a wonderful book.

I felt lonely as well... in the end I felt bad for the father. I mean, he was an asshole... but as wrong as he was, he also had feelings. He followed his feelings in his dealings with his daughter, and he never did stop searching for her.
