Ok, this is both an anime and a manga, and I've only seen the anime.

I gave it to my boyfriend's sister, and she is now so obsessed that her birthday party is goign to be Gakuen Alice themed.

I was wondering if there were any Gakuen Alice fans on mene, and if any of them read the manga. I might get it for my boyfriend's sister if I get good reviews... otherwise something else.

Plot:
Elementary school girl has a friend that moves away to the Alice Academy. She misses her and runs off to join, but the school is for special students (think X-men special), but she gets in.

Characters:
Little girl (Mika) is the adorable bumbling idiot who always smiles.
Her friend is a genius with amazing inventions (like the baka cannon).
Little girl's enemy is of course a boy with a bad attitude.
His friend who loves animals.
Violent angry teddybear with an axe
Teacher who controls people with pheramones
And a general cast of unique individuals

I liked the anime for this, but the story seemed incomplete, but I presume it would continue in the manga.

i started the manga and got to volume 5 (which is NO where on the internet T_T) before i had to stop. But I absolutely loved it, i thought it was hilarious and so cute! I haven't seen the anime though.... maybe I'll go check it out now.

I LOVE Gakuen Alice. <3 Mikan and Natsume are so cute. xD I wish they were a bit older though.. so more romance would be involved. <33 But it was a really cute anime overall~ ;] <33

I haven't read the manga yet, but I plan to, since it continues from where the anime left off... but I really wish there was a second season of the anime. ^^; I don't like that one teacher that controls what Natsume does.. he doesn't get to live freely and do what he wants. :/ That teacher is weird and mean. D:

Gakuen Alice is so cute! I really love those stories where they're not in high school and 16 y/o :P Well, I like those, too, but I love things like Gakuen Alice more xD It's been a while since I watched it, but I remember adoring Mr. Bear :P And Natsume of coure <3 And Hotaruuuu! I've read up till chapter 87 or so, but I can't find more T^T

I loved the anime...havent read the manga yet.. the anime really needed something more to it though...the ending was kinda bad.

I only read the manga but I like it! I thought I wouldn't in the beginning but it turned out better than I thought.

I watched the anime and have the first couple of volumes of the manga.. It has been very hard to find, but it's great.

I think the manga's better than the anime, because it's more complex and it's cuter :3 There are quite a few groups scanlating this series, so it's updated often on MangaFox. ^^

It seems intresting and I think I might read it. Is the manga or anime better?
