Ahh Burimyu, I know you well, I've been watching the 'Bankai Live' recently. I've been an anime musical fan for a couple of years now. I started with the 'Prince of Tennis' musicals and then follow Tuti and Nagayan when they graduated and went to do Bleach.
I watched the Bleach musical before i actually saw the series with a few mates. It's what persuaded me to watch the anime. I'm looking forward to the two new ones out this year.

I've seen it! ^.^
I really liked how they put the majority of the songs from the previous musicals into one show and had a very condensed version of the shows neatly piled into one. It piqued my interest so much that I had to watch all of the shows that they've made so far and I can't wait for the new ones to come out this year! I'm completely hooked on them now!!!!
They also did a really good job on casting the shows. Sato Miki is perfect for Rukia, Nagayama Takeshi while in character completely embodies Hitsugaya-Taicho, and Isaka Tatsuya totally becomes Ichigo. I love watching the way the actors portray the characters. It's so awesome!
I've also seen the backstage footage from the second musical, Saien, and they look like they have so much fun! From rehearsal to performance it looks like they enjoy every minute of it! As an actor it makes me envy them, because I want to be in an awesome group like that so so so so badly!

Nice to find another fan. I've been a huge fan of Nagayan (Nagayama Takeshi) since he did the Tenimyu's, which if you liked the bleach musials you'll love as well.
I love the casting as well, though I swear Shūji Hayashi (baykuya) is the gayest man I've seen on stage, he minces about much.
And yerse... you do not want to get me going on the Myu's I can fangirl for hours.

Thanks for letting me know about the Tenimyu's! It's so great to talk to another fan as well! I've been trying to get my friends into it and none of them seem to have a long enough attention span to watch it. So I haven't been able to talk about it to anyone.
Regarding the fangirl thing I'm the same way. once I've found someone I can talk to about things like this I can go on for a long time.

I'm quite lucky, I was introduced to them by a group of sightly older girls from the anime society I'm in. They've left now (two off them are in Japan at the moment with tickets for both tenimyu and burimyu) but theres still plenty of people to watch them with. There's 4 of us in the flat, we sit down with a projector, speakers and most importantly glow sticks and laugh our heads off. We tend to make up our own storyline to go along with the actual one. I swear the bleach myu is about a hair styling competition with the girls as the designers and the boys as the models.

I saw it too on You Tube as well, I'm going to ask my friend who runs the anime store where I live to find a copy on DVD.
Like she did the last time when she found the live action Inuyasha one.

@ AntiOrder
That's so cool and sounds like so much fun! I'm completely jealous! I would love to have a bunch of people to watch it with! Instead when I watch it I'm all alone with no one to laugh about the funny parts with. So I try to get my sister to come see it, and then, when she won't, I try to show her what was so funny, but it loses a lot of the humor when I do that. (Me in my pajamas trying to copy what they did in the musical, in full costume, after seeing it once is propably pretty lame.)

I have been known to go prancing round the train station singing the Momo-song from Tenimyu. It's fun even if no one else gets it.
To be fair persuading someone to watch a musical in a language no one understands is rather hard, I tried with my less geeky friends and they were having none of it. Ah well just put the sound track on your mp3 player and enjoy it.

Hahaha that's great! I sometimes randomly start singing Gin's song (the Sayonara one) and doing part of the dance that goes along with it. I also sing Yoroichi's Punyopunyo song. I really find that one funny.
I've been watching it subbed on youtube, so the people I've shown do understand it, but after watching a little bit they say they will come back to it later but then never do...that gets quite annoying.

I think that's my favorite song in it. I love tuti's voice and he's so good on stage as well. He's usually memorable from the back stages, he always introduces himself with "Hi Tuti-desu". And as a Tuti related aside he and Eiji Moriyama are in the same acting group called P*nish, any of their shows tend to be rather amusing.

I saw him introduce himself like that on one of the backstage videos. He had all of his fans in the audience do it with him. He seems like a really cool guy. I've read a little bit about P*nish on wikipedia. It's cool that they knew each other before the musical and that they are in the group together.

Dude, there's a thread for Burimyu? Is there a Tenimyu thread I missed out on around here somewhere? =O
