So, I just finished a truly epic game of Uno with two of my friends. By the end of it we were making death threats. One minute, we're playing a nice, civilized game, and the next everyone is at each other's throats and declaring the superiority of one color over another.
Has that ever happened to you? Have games ever gotten ridiculously out of control that its something to be remembered? Has a game ever become "that game"?
Share some stories! Make it seem like we're not totally bonkers. ;P

Sorry is about the most blackmailingest game I've ever played.
I was playing with my friends one day, and even before we got into the middle of the game, we were blackmailing each other like crazy.
"If you knock me over, I'm gonna SO get you next time!"
"You put me back to start and I'm gonna tell your crush you like him!"
"Wow, you effing bitch. I can't believe you knocked me out like that."
It was fun, I guess, but so very competitive.
I don't think I've ever gone through one game without random pieces flying around aimed for someone's head.

I'm a roleplayer, and this summer, I ran a game for campers ages 10-16 at a summer camp I worked at. And that led to campers saying and doing some interesting things. I mean, at lunch, I had a camper come up to me and say, "I figured out the gazebo." And it made my co-counselor look at me weird.
Also, Spoons can lead to interesting conversations and screaming matches.

Funny, I spent a great deal of the last week playing with my mother EXACTLY those two games - cursing like a sailor! :XD
Games are no fun unless they get "out of control" like that. When we included my dad we even started making nonaggression pacts and bribery. I just love it when that happens, ESPECIALLY with simple games like Uno and Sorry... :XP

We had an Uno tournament at a summer camp I went to and we got so into the game we made a girl Draw 24 cards. Then after that we made her draw some more. She lost horribly. Whenever I play we are continously making people draw. Another time it was 22 cards.

@Heiyuu: Ohhh Spoons! The last time Spoons was played, someone ended up outside for 3 minutes. In boxers. In Russia. XDDD
@Benni Silverymoon: Indeed. x3
@Jessica: Oh GODS. That game... I think the only game that can top Monopoly is Risk. o___O;
@oHsoDemandinG: The highest amount drawn that I've seen was 32.

Haha that happened with my hubby and I, as follows:
Me: I love you hunny!
Him: I love you too!
Me: Let's play Scrabble!
Him: Okay!
Me: Prepare to get asskicked! (Because I'm the literate one in the family here)
Him: ..Ookay..
Me: *puts a 20+ point word on the board* BWAHAAA!
Him: *puts two letters at the end of MY word and gets a whole whack of points*
Me: *stares darkly* I hate you. *continues staring darkly*
Him: O.o
I ended up losing. 303 points for him, 269 for me. I'm not supposed to lose at Scrabble!

We recently bought a new set of Uno cards, and the new rules say that after a draw card has been played, the turn goes to the player next to the one drawing. No averting an attack by playing a draw card of your own.
Needless to say, we went back to the old rules after a couple of rounds. All the fun of Uno lies in draw sprees! :XP

With my friends and I, that game is Egyptian War, or Egyptian Rat Screw. If you've never played, it's similar to regular war except that when face cards are played, you have a certain number of chances to try to put down a face as well. (Ex. If a King is played, the next person has to put down three cards. If he puts down a face card then it's the next person goes, if he doesn't, the one who played the king gets the hand) Doesn't sound like a dangerous game? Well there's one extra rule. If double's are played a person can slap them and win the hand. (My friends and I also play with sandwiches [5-7-5, 6-king-6])
This game can get terribly dangerous, especially when played amongst quick girls with sharp fingernails. Threats, new rules, and surprise attacks ensue. This is out game.
Imagine seven teenagers (one drunk) hoped up on tons of sugar slapping the heck out of each other's hands two days before Christmas.

At a camp I used to go to, my friends and I loved playing Uno. We'd really get into it too. Like if someone did something bad to another person, that person would literally draw until they got a card to do something bad to the first person. It was intense. >.< People would have so many cards it would take hours.
I also get really competitive with Monopoly and Risk. I like to threaten people. XD

Christmas Eve I was playing Uno with my uncle, 2 younger cousins (12 and 10 years old) my lil bro and my sister. So there was a point where it seemed like my brother was just getting picked on by us, we just kept making him draw four, draw two, draw four etc. XD
He was ready to snap! By the 5th draw two he yelled and threw his cards...toward my even younger cousins.
Chaos ensued as we grabbed the cards before they could start gnawing on them XD the deck fell too, it was terrible. In the end we got yelled at XD (yes, even my uncle)

Battleship. I am an epic failure at Battleshhip, but somehow one of my brothers or another will rope me into playing it with them, and it almost always goes like this:
Brother: I'm bored... Hey, I know, let's play Battleship!
Me: No way. You know I'm not good at that game. You'll beat me in no time.
Brother: I'll go easy on you.
Me: No you won't, I know you.
Brother: Sure I will. What else have we got to do?
Me: TV? Computers?
Brother: Oh sure, rot your brain.
Me: I hate you...
Brother: Which means you'll play me.
Me: *grumbles as he sets the game up*
So I set my ships and have my red and white pegs, and we're throwing out coordinates... and eveything he says hits my ships! I start saying things like "You're cheating! Somehow, you're cheating!" I'm looking around like "Where's that mirror you placed?! There has to be a mirror! --Or... oh my god, maybe you're reading my mind! Get out of my head!" And he's laughing his butt off, because of my tendancy to get dramatic... Well, anyway... ^^;

^ Goddam Battleship. Stinkin' little 10 year old campers beating my butt every summer. I refuse to play with those little cheaters anymore!
The only way my campers could possibly beat me is by moving their ships around and whispering coordinates to each other. They may be cute, but don't be fooled! :cry:

I know, right? I think there should be this in the rules "Your enemy must have their hands visable at all times unless marking a hit or sink, at which point they will TELL you that's what they are doing." Equally important is "NO LYING" ><

@Kita Uchiha:
I agree! Hands must be placed on the head, friends must be sitting at least four feet away from either player! If you so much as scratch your nose, I get an extra guess.
@Heiyuu:
Heh, playing tetherball against them makes it all worth while. When you're a head taller than everyone else around you, it becomes much easier to become champion of that glorious, glorious game.

Well... This isn't exactly what you were looking for but... I just wanted to mention my epic UNO story...
My half-sister and I were playing UNO the one day and we ACTUALLY TIED! Can you believe it? We tied at UNO. We each had all of two sets of colors and the only cards down were wilds. Epic UNO tie. I couldn't believe it. It's almost completely impossible... And I'm sure it'll never happen to me again. ^^

My brother-in-law is like that when we play Sorry. He makes threats when you send him back to start. He'll be like, "We're gonna take back that shirt we bought you." or something. Sorry is the only game he'll play.

I am the Mafia Queen of Killer Bunnies, seriously. I end up threatening, bribing, alliance-making, and trading my way to invincibility in that game. By the end, I'll always have all the best weapons, Cyberbunny, halos on my bunny cards, and tons of carrot cards.
I rarely, if ever, lose. I am the best ally you could ever have in that game as well as the worst enemy. But my friends encourage this madness because I'm usually very mild-mannered and they find my antics hilarious. Enablers, I tell you, enablers! ...Well, maybe enablers of joy. Man, Killer Bunnies is fun.
