Chapter 4

Upon closer inspection, Oerttena discovered a ledge leading from a safe distance from the waterfall directly into the cave. She gently landed on the ledge, glad of its presence because with her currently flight skills she was sure to go crashing into the waterfall and plunge to her death. But with this ledge she could safely walk behind the waterfall without fear of it snatching her out of the air.

Slowly and carefully, she made her way to the cave entrance. She was especially cautious when she noticed how slick the pathway was as she neared the roaring waterfall. She had begun to wonder whether or not this cave was really for her. It seemed far too dangerous to be going in and out of frequently. Once inside however, she instantly knew that this is where she would soon be living.

Water from the large waterfall trickled into the entrance of the cave, forming a stream which ran down the entryway towards a small ledge. The water spilled over the edge creating a trickling waterfall which found its end in a small lovely pool. The pool, which with its constant supply of water, was full and the water spilled over its rim, and so continued the stream through the rest of the cave.
WATERFALL
POOL

The room with the pool was somewhat small for any entertaining and therefore made a poor entrance. Oerttena hoped that because the stream continued there would be another entrance at the other side. She made her way through the rest of the cave, noticing all its magnificent features. There were veins of sapphire and ruby that ran through the ceiling of most of the rooms. It happened to catch a few of the shafts of light entering this cave and light up the rooms with a feint purplish glow. 'Good,' Oerttena thought, 'There will be light enough for my lilth friends to visit without fear of sitting in the dark.' Oerttena smiled at the thought of having company to her new home.

Chapter 5

As she explored the rooms she found many differences in all of them. Each room would serve its function perfectly, after she did a little clean up and added furnishing. One room in particular should though of her lilth friends for just after the entryway was a few bright shafts of light which ignited the whole room with a fierce brightness that her eyes could barely handle after being in darkness most of the morning. She knew they would enjoy this room and made a note to fill it with many green plants that would be found out in the sunlight to adorn this particular room.
ROOM
ROOM

Oerttena made her way through the rest of the cave making metal notes of what she would do with each room; she had a lot of work ahead of her. She made her way into the final room in the cave and was almost dropped to her knees as the awe striking beauty of the room. The water from the stream and pooled in this room covering most of the grown area, though there were some high points to walk on so one was not forced to fly through the room if they chose not to. The water was so clear she could see into the deep blue of the bottom of the small pond and the water so calm that she could every reflection in great detail on the surface. The ceiling glowed pale blue and great crystals of emerald and other precious gems plunged from it reaching down towards the water. This room was all she needed to see before becoming permanently attached to this place. This is where she would spend most of her days.

Chapter 6

She continued on through the room and soon found it to be getting much brighter in the cave. Very soon she found the outside entrance to her cave. Walking out of the cave she found herself walking on a beach next to a clear blue pond. The area around the pond was heavily wooded, lush and green. It was perfect. The great beauty of a room would be the first thing many who came to visit her would see, for most would come in this entrance as it was far less dangerous than the entry behind the waterfall.
ENTRANCE

Oerttena was proud of herself in finding such a fine place to live. But she still had a lot of work ahead of her. The cave in its present state was not very habitable. She would need to decorate it and add furnishing and other necessities. She would need to clean out dirt and dust and make it more inviting for company. It would take her a few days at least. She though about the project ahead of her and set her mind to it. There would be plenty of time to explore the rest of the gardens after she had established her home. Suddenly her stomach complained... first, it was time for lunch.
