I don't mind people reading it, but I don't like being there when they read it, and I like people to know like "this is a first draft, please be aware that I have done zero editing" before they read it.

Though my shyness is not about the grammar and typos. More to, it is like my DIARY! O__O
feels like. lol. even though I write in third person.

Mine isn't about grammar or anything, it's more that I'm worried that people will think it's weird that I write fantasy? Or they'll read a romance bit out of context and think it's dumb? It's really mostly about the fact that people who just pick it up randomly have zero context and that will make them think it's bad.

hmm, I think if you publish it in the end, some random readers would still jump in the middle of story and make judgements.

I don't know those people though so that's fine. And I never have to see their faces while they read it

On a side note, I had not been writing anything since NaNo. x.x

Oh no! I hope you have time to do some soon! My friend would kick my ass if I didn't write for 2 months she is reading my draft chapter by chapter and she sends me threats if I take a break.

I am not surprised that she acted that way if you let he read chapter by chapter. lol.
Cliffhanging is the last thing a story creator want to do to their audience. They will go MAD~ O__O

What happened is I posted that I was doing NaNoWriMo on facebook and some of my friends who have known me for a long time and have read my writing before said "post it online, so we can read it". I wanted to keep it slightly more private than that, so instead of posting it I said I would email it to anyone who was interested... There are six(?) people I email every time I finish a chapter now.

You have 6 alpha readers! Do they all reply anything at all?

They don't really, no. But occasionally I will send them surveys about how they feel it's going and they'll fill those out for me.

Their 'reviews' definitely should help!

Yeah, absolutely! Like, one of my friends let me know that she wanted more descriptions after the end of part 1, so I have been clearer about those things since then, etc...

though... I suspect it works for me when I am still in the process of writing the first draft. x.x

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that xuvie. Do you mean that you would rather wait until after you had done the first draft for people to read it?

I don't like to be judged on unfinished stuff. The reviews may distracted me to either fix mistakes or having inconsistent details in different chapters.

Ah yes I see how that can be. I was slightly worried that I might get that, but because I have a plan to stick to a lot of the reviews I just respond to with "wait and seeeee". I just finished part 2, and I asked my readers what they thought would happen next. The answers are all /nearly/ right but not quite, which makes me happy.

I would not be too happy if my reviews are too good. XD lol.
I know how bad I am, so criticism would allow me to learn.

That's true too. It's a tricky balance.

Though, I do love praises.
Praises : happy of that moment of being praised and bragging. after that, I felt quite empty. :/
Criticism : annoyed at that moment. denial and when finally acceptance thus improving. The feeling of overcoming the mistake is incredible. Though not as long live also.

I am just that greedy.
