Mark Anthony - a Roman general who rule Rome after the murder of Julias Caesar - was taken aback by the Egyptian Queen the first day he set eyes on her. Unfortunately, he was not the only one, yet he managed to win Cleopatra's love. When he returned to Egypt later, he crowned himself and Cleopatra as rules of Egypt and the Eastern part of Rome. When he engaged in a battle with Octavius, Cleopatra's ships fled the scene, causing him surrender. He vowed to kill Cleopatra for this treason.

Cleopatra decides that the only way to win back Antony's love is to send him word that she killed herself, but her plan fails: rather than rushing back to see the "dead" Cleopatra, Antony decides that his own life is no longer worth living, and runs himself through with a sword. Only after he learned that Cleopatra is still alive. He dies in her arms.

Shortly after, Cleopatra resolves to kill herself with poison.. She dies, imagining how she will meet Antony again in the afterlife.

I had submitted another entry, but because it wasn't posted on the first page, I didn't know whether to post it here or PM to Daria.

Faux, the reason why your entry wasn't posted is because it originally did not meet the requirements of the contest, which are that your avatar must have mainly Valentine's Day colors (red, pink, white, purple). I never found anything to go with it, so, I'm not going to edit it later on. I'm leaving it as it is. X3
