Haha, true that. Netflix lists categories of movies you like based on your past choices, right? And one of my categories is "Independent Thrillers with a Strong Female Lead". There were crazier ones they came up with, but that one cracked me up.

Haa, thats a great category. I just got my own netflix acct the other day, actually - old tv shows here I come! SotW is about a boy who goes to the cemetery of Forgotten Books, finds the best book that he's ever read - but the author is virtually unknown, with some dark tales surrounding his books. The story is about him unraveling the mystery of the author, basically. It has some interesting twists, and its still the one book I recommend to everyone. ^^

I have two favorite books actually....three, really. Lord of Light and Donnerjack by Roger Zelazny and The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia Mckillip. Sooo good!

Heya!
Lord of Light is like a sci fi/fantasy book where a man who took on the identity of a living Buddha is fighting with some other people who took on the mantles of the Hindu pantheon (these people control all the technology so they are functionally immortal) for the freedom of the settlers on the new Earth.

Donnerjack is about a man who created a virtual world that ended up becoming kind of a real alternate universe and has a son with a woman he takes from the virtual world who ends up having to save both worlds from a destructive influence.

The Forgotten Beasts of Eld is about a witch who can call special animals to her (famous cats and dragons and whatnot) and her unwitting involvement in the affairs of the adjoining kingdoms.

They're AMAZING books. Everyone who like sci fi or fantasy should read them.

They do sound good. Forgotten Beasts of Eld sounds like something I would love.

It is AMAAAAAZING. And it even has a little tiny love bit in there that I *didn't* hate. Which is also amazing cause I usually hate those bits.
