"See? No smoking, no screaming in pain."

Dean nodded and put the Colt away, moving so they could get out of the devils trap. "Is that why you need the angel-proof room?"

"Not for me," Runa said as she forced her way out of the circle. She stumbled once she was out before she got her feet under her again. "Angels can't find me. Apparently my kind have a sort of automatic celestial cloaking thing." She rubbed her eyes for a moment, and when she opened them again, they were normal.

"What, then?" Sam asked, cautiously lowering his shotgun.

Kyra sighed. Her turn to spill the beans. "I'm nephilim. Largely ignored but occasionally killed for existing. An angel found out I exist and is now trying to recruit me for the war, not sure which side."

"The hell they will," Runa muttered. "I'll drag them to Hell myself before I let them take you."

Bobby just watched them both for a moment before sighing and putting down his rifle.

"Balls," he grumbled. "Well, get in here, all of you, and lock the door. Salt it if you need to, but nothing's getting in here tonight, not until one of you boys has a chat with Cas."

Dean already had his phone out to call Cas and see if he couldn't convince the angel to come shed some light and help. Because help would be nice.

Kyra moved inside the rest of the way, keeping their hunting stuff with her. Just in case.

"May as well make yourselves comfortable," Bobby said to the girls. "Seems like you're in for a long night."

"Are you sure?" Runa asked cautiously. "I know of plenty of hunters who would have shot us on the spot."

"Well, I ain't them, now am I?" Bobby asked. "I've seen more weird shit knowing these boys than anyone else I know, this is just one more thing."

"I think I like you," Kyra said as she went to go find a place to sit down. She even looked suitably impressed by all his books, picking one up and whistling quietly.

Which meant she jumped when Cas appeared in front of her, phone still in hand, looking between the two.

"When did this start?" he asked, his voice quiet.

"When did what start, you scaring us half to death?" Runa retorted, blinking to get her eyes back to normal. She'd felt them go black when he appeared. After a moment, she added, "Eight hours ago, maybe ten. Kyra said they put out an APB on her."

"Why?" Cas focused on Runa, since she seemed to be giving him answers at the moment. "What do they want?"

Runa looked at him for a moment.

"Let me make something clear," she said. "They can't have her. I will drag Raphael himself, kicking and screaming into the Pit, before I let any of them force her to join that God-forsaken angel war."

Castiel's eyes narrowed a little. "I have no interest in using a nephilim," he said. "And if it is Raphael's side that wants her, it is in my best interest to deny them that."

"Then we're in agreement," Runa said. "And just so we're on the same page, helping the Winchesters or not, I have no qualms about opening a vein for a banishing sigil if I feel the need."

"Good. It may become necessary." Cas looked at Kyra for a few moments. "How did they find you? I could not until Sam mentioned you both."

"No idea. Maybe they followed you." Kyra shrugged.

"I'm not sure, either," Runa admitted. The thought had crossed her mind that maybe the angels had known all along, but that raised more questions that she wasn't sure she should voice yet.

"What do you hear now?" Cas frowned at the idea that he'd been followed and had exposed the two.

"Just a repeating message with a countdown," Kyra said with a shrug. "Nothing else."

Cas nodded. "You may as well move downstairs. I will investigate." And he vanished again.

"Downstairs?" Runa asked, but he was gone. She glanced at the others. "What's downstairs? Because I'm going to assume he didn't mean all the way Downstairs because that would be completely counterproductive."

"Panic room," Dean said. "Warded against everything we know. Come on." He led the way down the stairs, pulling open the door and letting the girls in. "Although you don't have to stay in here if you don't want to."

Runa followed them downstairs. When she saw the panic room, she eyed it with a bit of distaste.

"You mean I have to walk across another one of those?" she asked, pointing at the devils' trap at the door.

"There's one inside, too," Bobby said, shrugging. "Didn't exactly plan the thing with an antichrist in mind, ya know."

"Sounds like your ass isn't on the line," Dean pointed out. "And nothing can get down there without us knowing, so you don't have to go in there."

"It's fine," Kyra said before Runa could protest. "I brought a book." She fished it out, going to sit on the bed with her legs folded.

"You're not going to stay in there alone," Runa said firmly. Taking a breath, she stepped into the first circle, fighting her way into the room. "Hate these damn circles," she muttered as she finally made it through. She paused when she saw the one projected onto the floor. "Okay, even I have to admit that one's clever," she said as she skirted around it.

"Bobby's good," Dean said with a little grin. "You two want anything? We've got beer upstairs."

"Beer's fine for me," Runa replied. She glanced at Kyra.

"Just water for the moment." Kyra watched Dean nod and tromp up the stairs again before she looked at Runa. "Really, they're not after you, you don't have to stay in here."

"I'm not leaving you alone," Runa said. "Who knows what could happen. And I meant every word when I said I would drag them to Hell if they try."

Sam sat down in the study.

"So, a nephilim and an antichrist," he said. He was quiet for a bit. "Anyone else miss the days when a wendigo was a good challenge?"

"I know. On one hand that would be great to watch, but on the other I really don't want you that close to Hell." Kyra shrugged, settling in next to her. "Let's just both try to avoid getting in any further trouble."

"Yes," Dean said, pulling out a beer and bottle of water. "Or when a nest of vamps was the worst thing a town had to worry about."
