The Sun grew high on the window paine like a flower from the dirt. Gabby sleepily walked out of bed with a calm expression on her face. Usually she was woken up by the sound of her younger brother sneeking down staris to get into the Cookie Jar. But that was diffrent for the whole week. HE was at Summer Camp, but saddly enough, today was the last day, and her Mom was going to pick her brother up. She streched her long arms and got out of bed, slipping into her Heartface Fox Slippes. Slowly, she walked down the hall to her Mom's Room. There was a note:

Sweetie,
Went to go pick your brother up.
Be back at 12:00

Xoxo,
Mom

She looked up from reading the note. "11:47am" she whipered. The slowly chugged into her room. Once she got back she climbed on her bed and opened the windownext to her. It was a beauful sunrise. She stared at the scene ofr awhile. Her arms and legs loose, she felt... peaceful. "This is the li-" All of a sudden she heard a thud. She wrapped her arms around her legs and shrugged. She tensed up for a second then became loose again. THUD! She heard it coming closer and faster... THUD! THUD! THUD! She grabbed her blanket and hid under the covers. Finally the Thudding stopped. She peaked underher covers. She gasped. It was a shiney purple squid. It was looking around the room, leaving a trail of watery-goo behind it. The Squid met Gabby's Eyes. "Mama?" The baby squid mummbled. Then BOOM! The baby jumped on her face and began to make it's way up to the top of her head. Being Gabby, she was interested, she stepped out of bed, trying to get a good look at the thing sitting on top of her head. BAM! She slipped on the Squids suliva and fell to her knees. "Owww." She began to yell. The Squid slipped off her head and began to heal her with it's tenticales. They gazed at eachother for awhile. Then gabby stood up amazed by the Squids healing power. Gabby grabbed it and took it up by it's head. Then she put it right on top of her head, the Squid squinted with joy, and so did Gabby. "Honey! I'm home!" The door shut... her Mom was home...

Gah, invasion of the squids! They're taking over the world!
