LaVida- I live halfway between San Francisco and San Jose. Smack Dab in the most expensive area of the country. In order to make a non-poverty living off of minimum wage one would have to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week it was calculated, but if you were working that much, you wouldn't need a home to retire to at the end of the day!

Seridano- Hot cider is good generally through November. Mulling spices, cinnamon, etc. Just like you can still have pumpkins out (for thanksgiving) just not carved up and all the Halloween decorations are down. Come december though the drink of choice is hot chocolate though. I remember one time in college there was a hot chocolate gathering that had raspberry hot cocoa, caramel hot cocoa, and marshmallow hot cocoa... I made sure to 'let the extra packets' not go to waste >=D I had no shame in college.

Cider is one of the magical parts of autumn. I'm going to miss it once stores stop carrying it this month.

I lvoe Apple cider. We have this gallon of it thats only lasted a couple days so far.

Tops carries it all year round...but its expensive....and not fresh.

They had 'caramel spice cider' on the menu but there was no spice, just apple with whipped cream with a little caramel drizzled on top. The cinnamon shaker was somewhere between 1/3rd and 1/4th full... it was about 1/8th full when I was done with it frantically shaking it into my drink.

They had some 'holiday' themed mocha/frappuchino-bullshit stuff advertised but I didn't see the classic peppermint hot cocoa yet. The one with bits of candy-cane on top... that is one that I actually don't mess with. As the red melts it kind of looks like blood
