That would be really nice. I'm hoping one day we could do that too. Or in all reality, just not have to worry where we are going to come up with the money to keep up on bills.

I hear you. Right now we're okay with our bills so long as nothing breaks and nothing unexpected outside of the budget comes up. But life doesn't work that easily as you well know. :P

Nope it doesn't. :( It seems that's when things like to break...when you're least prepared for it.

I'm kinda feeling blah. Not feeling like work. With the tech issues, though, who could blame me?

I'm also having weird reactions to my anti-depressant. It is actually feeling more like a valium sort of sedatitive feeling but makes me feel naucious. I don't know if it is just this one batch is off? I'm not sure what to do as this is the first time I've ever experienced this.

Is there a possibility the pharmacist messed up and they gave you the wrong medication?

Possibly, but I've been on this batch for awhile now and it isn't until recently I've noticed it. I could do a search online and see if the stamp on it matches. If it does, either something chemically changed in the medication and it is a bad batch or I'm suddenly developing a reaction to it? I took one of the extended release capsules I had left today and still feeling alright. Prob with those is it is an extra $30 per month to have the extended release over the twice daily (which I don't take twice daily, I just half the dosage to make it last longer).

At some point in our conversations you mentioned either cutting back or outright quitting pot? Have you changed how much you smoke since you started feeling ill? Sometimes that can cause the differences in physical and emotional moods.

In honestly, not really. I do have a toke maybe 3 times a week? Just enough to relax and loosen up. I've been running pretty low so I've maybe cut down a little, but really haven't made that big of a change. I haven't seen any sort of reaction like this before, and there's been a few nights where I have had more than my fair share....since Aaron has been laying off of it, I have been trying to keep it when he's already fast asleep or he's not home. Just because I know he would like to be able to partake with me, but can't...

Hrm... who knows why your body is acting up. Hopefully it either passes or you're able to get off the meds. :(

The only thing I can think of is I've been smoking rolled cigarettes and a lot...It started off with just a Djarum here and there (clove cigarette), but then I found it a very relaxing thing to do and I've started smoking cigarettes. Nicotine known to cause weird side effects with medication?

I can't say that it would or it wouldn't, as I don't have enough experience with the medication side of it all. BUT! I can say with certainty that it may, as every person's body and metabolism are different. I am left wondering why it has started bothering you now when you've taken the same medication for years (unless I misremembered). I would wonder what changed.

It certainly could be a change that's unexplained. Maybe you should do some research on your med and see if nicotine is known to do much with it? I know that one of the things to do for individuals with raised anxiety and/or stress is reduce nicotine. But the weird thing to me is that you're not chain smoking pack upon pack...

Metabolism issue maybe? :(

That's what I'm going to end up doing. When I get a free moment. For now I do have a couple more of the extended release capsules on me. I took one of those yesterday and I'm feeling just fine.

It's weird stuff...

Hey Chi: I was wondering, if you had the mask of Atlantis or mask of the Phoenix in your stockpile of old CI's?

Hey Chi. Just had a bombshell dropped about work. Looks like I am no longer going to be supporting the videogame industry, but instead am being transitioned back to phone based work for a major coorperate cell phone account. I'm still figuring out whether this is a good or bad move.

Kind of sad because I enjoyed what I worked with...even if I did complain.

@Codette
I don't, sadly. I will probably get my husband's set, but I'll be looking for art for it. As of now though, no. Sorry! :(

@Izumi
Say what now??

Basically we had the accounts manager pull us into huddles and tell us that the big wigs at the company who contracted us decided to yank the contract for chat support and another one of our phone support ques and move it to the Philippines due to the cost effectiveness of it. They can pay 3 of them to do the same job that one of us do. This is the third time that I've had a campaign outsourced overseas. It's sad because they had moved it back to the US due to their customers complaining about having overseas support.

The good news is chat was decided to move us over to this other campaign, keeping us as much as possible with the same teams and same hours as we were working before. I believe same pay, even through training, which is 7 weeks worth. Haven't had it in writing, though, and technically I'm not suppose to talk about it for another couple of days until everyone has been notified. My close friends I've already IMed outside of work to talk about it. I'm trying to stay as upbeat about it as possible, but this next job is phone support based and I'm going to miss doing chat support. It's going to mean less time to do things in between work. I'm so spoiled as I can easily run to the bathroom or run out to the kitchen to grab something while waiting for a response. I wasn't TOTALLY tied to my seat. Now with phone based work, unless I place them on hold, I will be tethered.

It sucks too as it means either my dogs are going to behave with the door shut and outside of their kennels, or they will spend 8 hours kenneled. That's really up to whether or not they will behave, as they will not keep quiet for me to let them back there with me.

That does make it harder, for sure... It takes away the luxuries of working from home, save for being able to get into your pajamas. :/ Other than that, you're tied, like you say.

Yeah it does, but I've done phone based work for awhile now. I only did chat support for about a year and a half. I prefer it over phone support, but at the same time working from home is working from home.

Hopefully it means I'm not smoking so much. Right now I've been pretty bad about having several cigarettes within a 8 hour period as it is too easy to light up and smoke in between chats. It's horrible for you, I know, but the rush of nicotine and just the oral fixation...Arggh.

Hopefully the job transition goes well. If not, maybe it will be a new door opened up to avenues you never thought possible. Either way, embrace it, hey?

That's what I'm trying to do. To see it as a positive change. At first I felt like a smacked puppy. It was a gut reaction. In all honesty, though, continuing down that thought process is not going to really do anyone any favors so I might as well accept it and move on. I'm going to let other members of our team do the job of bringing us down, except if it gets too heavy I'll put the headset down and just find something else to distract myself. I guess that's the one really shitty thing is that we're still on a shared bridge and shared chat so there's plenty of time to interject with negativity. I'm just going to actively chose not to take part in it.
