I would pretend to be happy for about 5 minutes. Then I would be so completely deadpan for the rest of the day.

However, I am fine if the talking is all on business side basis. Like talking to courier service to come pick up parcel, or talking to my co-workers, or talking to other company's worker on some details.
Maybe because the focus is more on work, and I know I am fresh enough to have mistakes, so I am prepare for it. Willing to learn is stronger in this case.

Just in a warehouse. It's mostly manual labour, so I can let my mind wander off to think about stuff.

Not really. most interaction I have is asking questions. We're even allowed to have one headphone in as long as we can still hear people.
