I actually met a great friend of mine through Gaia Online, and I flew down this past summer to meet her (I just have to say - the flight from California to Australia is crazy long). ^_^ She's just a friend, I think of her like a big sister, but we've really gotten to know each other pretty well. She's a great person, and despite our age difference, we actually get along pretty well - she's 8 years older than me.

@Nemo: Birds and horses are just animals that I really would rather see from a distance. I mean I can appreciate that they are lovely, I just freak if I get too close. I saw a bird flying in a supermarket before and I screamed. xD

I often get cuts and bruises. Not anything serious enough to write home about. One night I was at a club and I was trying to be cool to get this guy's attention and I fell sideways down a flight of stairs. That hurt like a bitch haha.

One of my friends a few weeks ago - took a nasty fall ice skating, and gave herself a concussion. >.<

I've never met anyone in real life that I've met online. Even one of my best guy friends that I met on Gaia. He lives in the same state and practically same city. Lol. He only about 45 minutes away from where I live. xD We have yet to meet, but partially because he's too shy.

I just got mine actually. Well last year in November, so not even a year. I need them for two years they say, but I kind of missed a lot of appointments due to money issues... so I think I set myself back a few months. ;.;

Yeah, it was a great experience. Although like an hour left in the 17 hour flight from LA to Melb, I realized that the one thing that I forgot to talk to her about before I left was where we were going to meet... xD HaaHaa! But it all worked out. And I proved to myself that I can fly solo international and survive. I did have a few freak outs like "Ok, so I'm going, all by myself, to meet someone who I've never actually talked to, or met in person - going to a country half way around the world by thankfully wasn't too hard to myself.... What am I doing?!" Haha! :lol: But it was so worth it, despite going kinda insane. ((But we have been posting each other letters and parcels for about 2 1/2 year now).
Oh, it took my friend and I over 5 years before the idea of even meeting in person actually came up. And flying half way around the world is not something that I'd do for anyone - because I'm actually that super shy person as well offline, but at the same time I really did want to meet her. So glad that I managed to push through my fear of the unknown and just went for it. :) And it's all her fault - I want a wallaby now! ;P Or wobbly as she calls them. ;)

don't worry. next time he come over to the fence and starts talking crap i'm calling the police again and telling them the whole story. we shouldn't have put up with that crap.

When I was little I used to want a private zoo really really badly. I loved going to the zoo, but I hated all the people. I still kind of do, haha.

Awe - I loved that we got to go in with some of the wallabies at the Zoo that we went to in Australia. ^_^ That was definitely a memory I'd never forget.

Yeah, although it did help for me, with my Australia trip, that I knew my friend I was going to stay with. It would just keep me from getting too bored, definitely. That's the main reason for wanting someone to go with me. :P The boredom. :lol:
