it's not crap. it's actually useful.

Considering the level of English here (or at least at the university I got my degree from), it is worth crap. Hell, I never studied even once on any of the exams there and I still graduated. I could speak better English than some of my professors there. One of my professors didn't know what a 'pickup truck' was. Seriously.

And no, to be able to teach English you'll need a license and take special courses for that...unless you're teaching in a cram school or something that's not government-sanctioned. Which I don't have. And considering how easily teachers get sued or bullied by their students these days...

Were the kids horrible?

Yeah, but the parents are even scarier. If anything goes wrong, they'll come storming in and blaming you for incompetence regardless of whether or not it was actually your fault, threatening to sue you/the company, and etc. etc...

In a way I'm more worried about the parents than I am about the kids. There are so many of these over-protective, my-kid(s)-can-do-no-wrong parents these days.

Yep. Like the news I read earlier today about how several teens (like maybe 13 - 15yrs old?) ganged up and sexually bullied this girl, traumatizing her. While bullying her they would scream things like, "Go head and tell someone, it's not like we'll go to jail or anything, we're underage!!"

...Seriously, some people just needs to be shot/neutered.

What the hell were their parents doing that let their kids end up like that?

Yet if asked, the parents would just say, "My kid's a good kid! He/she was just led astray because of bad company!!!"

Yeah, right. Stop defending your kid from what they are, an asshole.
(I mean, the bad company part is totally possible, but just about every single one of them says that whenever their kid does something bad. They just point fingers and insist on how adorably angelic their kid really is and that it's just a 'phase' or an 'accident'.)
