like examples: start out with a "today you have joined the caravan, pick one of the spaces to see what your job will be"
than things like "get to ride inside a cart" "riding a camel" "picking up the poop"

than maybe for the next day "what kind of food are you eating on the trip"

Just remember, it's not a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' if there isn't a significant chance of dying horribly!

Yeah, I'm planning 7 days. 14th through 21st. Which technically is 8 days if you look at it right, but... 7 is wiser!

Oh Shadami, I was thinking of drawing a map too, think that would be a good idea? Like maybe a map of the desert or the area the story is going to be in

hmmm... it may be 8 days... but yeah i'd do 7 for safe...

Like combining Captain Howdy's style, and the scavanging on the beach for survival items that longcat did the art for?
I was thinking maybe one of the days we stop at an oasis, so we could have that.
one day maybe is around the campfire and pick a seat. "log, ground, ect"

these are all ideas i've run through.

I love you guys so much. So many cool ideas!

These are in no specific order :D

1) Choose your job
2) Stop at the oasis
3) Campfire hangout day [resting & regroup]

Not permanent ideas but... what do you think?

4) Camel rides
5) Treasure hunt
6) Treasure hunt day 2
7) Sand boat race (XD was thinking Avatar with the sand benders haha but in this case it could be a hovercraft made for sand arabian style)

it could be more like a race for the final day. and what is the transportation you got for it. xD
like mickey mouse club house road rally (does it show i've got kids) each of them had a different vehicle. skateboard, scooter, bike, car, hot air balloon. ect

so we could have something like. omg your vehicle broke. the sand boat being the best. (because go team avatar) , maybe a really big turtle. a coyote (lol)

Hmm... I think the decathlon idea is awfully close to the choose your own adventure one... I might dial back the group dice game to fighting off bandits or something. :)

LOL YES, I played um mario kart, so I know what you're talking about. I didn't know mickey club house had a car show too. I got a 3 year old nephew who likes to watch hehe.. and I think I'm actually excited to here "Ooooh Toooodllleess!"

I don't know... I hate to tear up sadrain's idea, but I'd probably run the group dice game a lot simpler since I have other threads going on... maybe a standard monster-killing thing... or perhaps every group is trying to do a different task at digging out a lost city.

Well we did have a lot of ideas for it already.
perhaps just simplifying that itself. say.... Each day is a task. and points go to each one, and in the end all the days points are added up. Not hey you've made it to the next task kind of thing.

That seems like a pretty great idea, too! A little more beachy than desert-y, but it's not unworkable!

I'm sure we can find some sandstone slabs xD or some water to make mud
