Yeah Suo, Sookie's pretty obnoxious in the show IMO. I'm not sure I like her for that part particularly, but I can't think of anyone would really do better. She's much cooler in the books. She seems a lot smarter than she comes off in the show.

I'm actually not a big fan of the whole vampire genre in general, though I have been told that True Blood is good. I liked Buffy too.

Well, thats good, then, Sizz. That'll give me a bit more reason to try out the books. I've heard good things about them.
And yes, she is quite obnoxious. I think its the way she talks or holds herself or something.

1OO% agree. I am in LOVE with Eric ever since he got the amnesia attack! And I think it will happen, I saw a "future of TB" show thing and it talked about someone losing their memory...so let's keep our fingers crossed!!

I still have to watch episode 5 and up from season 3...damn my lack of HBO and the internet being jerkish D:

For what it's worth, I think Sookie in the books "can be" irritating, but mostly with how hot to trot she is. I don't know if she's entirely cut out for monogamy. >_>; But mostly I find her someone I can relate to. xD She's not very preachy either, which I appreciate.

And I think I like the "universe" of True Blood more than any other vampire universe, but I probably would say I like the characters of Buffy more.

I do quite like the musical as well. Just don't read the book expecting it to be the musical. They're vastly different.

i thought the book was fantastic... it's much darker then the musical... but really really good
