Don had noticed her hand as it twitched. She was angry, obviously, or maybe just upset that he had entered in such a moment as he did. Nevertheless, he ignored her gesture. She was a feisty one, clearly, not going to be easy to break, but he was still determined to make her submit to him. As she spoke, he couldn't help but wonder if it was one of his own brothers she was in love with. After all, she did mention possibly loving someone different all together.

"Well.. Because we have to make this work, I do believe it will be best if we at least try to like one another, don't you? The way I see it.." He trailed off, not wanting to say what he wanted. He wanted to tell her she should be more of a lady and be more willing to break down her walls and let him in. Then again, he would probably find a way to force himself in, if need be. Taking a deep breath, he averted what he was going to say and made it a lot more friendly. "We should at least try to know each other, and if all else fails, find a way to work out a way of giving us both what we want." He smiled, trying to be friendly. It wasn't forced, however.

Donald then held his hand in gesture to the house, motioning that they should probably go inside and eat dinner, so neither of their fathers would be too angry. He wanted to get her back to a place where he felt he was in control of the situation again. As the eldest Kurai son, he always had a special placement in his father's mind, and he did not want to lose that by being rude in any way. "Your sister made us all a lovely dinner," he stated before continuing, "shall we go in and enjoy it with the rest of our families?" He put on his best, most kind smile, his free hand running through his long locks of hair. His fingers got caught in a knot of hair, but he pulled through them with ease, the strands letting go with a simple tug.

Lance stood at the very moment Amelia did. "Excuse me," he said turning to follow her. "Amelia, is everything okay?" His voice was soft and sincere as he looked concernedly at her.

Stepping back, he looked over his shoulder to see his grim reflection in a mirror. Wincing, he looked away in disgust. "I'm sorry I'm not the most attractive man in the world." His head hung down some. "I guess it's just my wild side. I've always been one with nature... or I guess it's gotten the best of me."

Exhaling, he walked back up to her. "As far as our marriage... if... if you don't want me. I... I understand." A frown came over his slender face. His black flock of hair covered his left eye as he looked at her. "Whatever you wish. I am here to serve as not your forceful husband, but as your knight and servant. Whatever you shall wish for, I shall do my best to make happen. I cannot see any other life fitting for a lovely woman such as yourself. If you want to rule the world, I shall cut down anyone that stands in that path. If you want to run away from this strange life, I will lead you my speed, wisdom, and courage. Your happiness is all I live for." Bowing, the reached over and placed a gentle kiss on her hand.

When Lance followed her, Amelia at first wanted to ignore him. His outburst earlier had startled her, almost scared her, and than his forcefulness when he led her to the dining room. She continued walking, leading them outside to the garden that seemed to be the theme of the night for people to escape to, though Amelia was oblivious of this fact.

"Not attractive?" She turned at this startled with a small giggle covering her mouth. "That's a silly thought." She shut up as he continued talking, her eyes widening when he mentioned nature. She loved nature, it was the one thing in the world she adored above all else. She found that in a small part it tied her to her sisters, but in all other ways she always thought she was different than them. Now her future husband was claiming he was one with the one thing in the world she loved.

Her mouth fell open slightly with wide eyes, one hand still covered her mouth. A good thing since he took her other hand in a bow and kissed it. "My happiness? I.... I don't know what to say." She really was speechless, all she could do was stare at him in shock. This wasn't even close to how she had imagined this night would go. Her sisters had been miserable like herself when they got the news. She bit her lip hoping they wouldn't hate her if she did end up liking her betrothed. She took a step away from him and stepped up onto the edge of the fountain.

"The sky is lovely tonight," he said blushing slightly. "I don't know about you, but... if it were ever possible, I'd love to fly away. Go far away and let the wind carry me wherever. My hawk, Taka, is so lucky. He's not bound to this earth like we are." Something cold pressed against his hand again. "Kapu," he said giving the wolf a silly look. "You're so handsome! I wish I were like you my good friend." Ruffling his hair, Lance's eyes caught Amelia's body up against the sparkling fountain water.

His heart skipped a beat again as he gazed upon her sheer beauty. "You're beautiful," escaped his lips before he was able to stop himself. Blushing, Lance looked away and shoved his hands into his pockets.

"Amelia... there is... there is something you should know about me." His eyes flickered a blue. "I've got a split personality." But, for some odd reason, this other half wasn't advancing on the female. His other half loved to wreck havoc, and yet, Amelia's beauty seemed to tame him.

With his eyes turning back to gold, he spun around in the garden. A few flower peddles danced around him as he turned. Lance's hair was now a mess of black wisps of silk. Tangled and twisted, he seemed to have recollected himself. "Anyways, as I was staying," he voice becoming more serious as he spoke, "I've got an ugly alter-ego."

"Ugly? Tch, I prefer to think of myself as a beautiful sinner."

The blue eyes gazed at Amelia. They almost seemed... hungry for her. "No," Lance pulled himself away from her. "I'm not going to hurt her!" He was yelling at himself. "I refuse to make her cry. She's been punished enough. I will not be cruel to her like everyone else. She will be rich and happy. Anything and everything she wants will become hers."

Hmpt! Very well. But, don't come crying to me if you get in trouble on the battlefield. Rolling his eyes, Lance bowed again. "I'm sorry. I... I told you I was... split." Frowning, he walked away muttering to himself, "There is no way anyone could love someone like me... I'm a demon."

“We don‘t have to make this work….you could simply refuse to marry me. After all according to my father I am but a whore…a disgrace to my family name. We could just get married and avoid each other for the rest of our lives.” her voice was blunt, she was basically void of all emotions at the moment, she had no feelings to share with this man. She looked at him, watched as he gestured to the house, she knew that they should go in and eat, but then again she got beat for a lot worse then skipping dinner.

“I know she did….tomorrow is my night to cook. So I believe you men are to be staying and help us pack our things so we can move in with you guys.” she said as she remembered what her sister had told her, she moved forward until she was standing right next to him. She didn’t touch him, but she just started to walk slowly back towards the house, she stopped for a moment and fingered a rose.

Eve glanced towards her sister when she saw her, Lance was with her, she looked away before she could let any of her emotions show on her face. She had a feeling that Amelia would like Lance since he wouldn’t be around much for her. She sighed heavily and continued on her way towards the house, not bothering to notice if Don was following her or not.

((Awwww, no one wants Lance. Well, they do because he's always MIA or AFK or BRB or AWAY. XD))

Amelia had stepped back to escape him, nothing more. She covered her mouth to hide her smile as he showed how much he loved his wolf friend. Her laughing eyes did not last long as she became confused moments after when he looked up at her. His eyes looked at her as if there was something surprising to him. She found that out moments later as a blush darkened her cheeks when he spoke his mind without thinking.

"A split...personality." She could see that in a way, the kind gentleman, that loved his animal friends. The one that was now spinning through the garden, and the one that had yelled inside. Suddenly he turned his attention back to her, and he seemed vicious. She couldn't stop herself as she stepped backwards away from him. She felt her heels clink on the edge of the fountain ledge and tried to catch her balance.

The moment he turned around as he apologized, she lost her fight. The water in the fountain splashed up as she fell backwards landing almost waist deep in the clear water of the fountain. Her head rolled back as she gave up and just laid down in the water looking up at the sky. Her face was crimson and she knew there was nothing she could do about it now. Especially not now that she had fallen into the fountain.

"ooo." She let out a small gasp, having been laying down she got a very good view of a star streaking overhead as it fell. "It's beautiful." She murmured, without thinking she sat upright again in delight her eyes sparkling, "Did you see that!"

(there's going to be a ton of love triangles in this, it's rather amusing. XD )

Their father had to noticed that everyone had come to dinner except Klaus. "Maiara where is your future husband." he asked sternly.

Maiara looked up from her plate. “I don’t know father. He left a little while ago and I haven’t seen him since.” She was telling the truth, but it didn’t seem to matter.

“What did you do to make him leave? You better be finding him. Now!”

“I didn’t do a thing. He just left and I don’t blame him. If I could I would just leave and disappear. That way I wouldn’t have to deal with your stupid business scheme. You disgrace our mother by arranging theses marriages and planning to turn our home into a factory.” Before he could say anything more to her she got up and left the room.

It was evident that their father was angry with Maiara’s actions. “Please forgive my daughter. She is stressed about the situation. I will have a talk with her later.” He planned to do more then talk with her once he caught her later. This time he would punish her for her disrespectfulness.

((*dies laughing* this is great. I still don't know who Maiara will be in love with. I was thinking Lance, but Eve likes him and I don't think there is such a thing as a love square, lol))

Donald sighed, never ready to give up on her. She was unique, in her own little ways, and he liked that. Sure, it made the struggle for control more challenging, but he always did love a good challenge. The way she looked at him, though.. she looked dead to the world, completely unhappy. It wasn't a fire he saw in her, it was a lost girl, not quite sure what to do with herself. He had a feeling that she had a lot of issues with her dad, assuming she wasn't lying about the bad words he had flung over at her.

When she got close to him, his heart raced slightly and he waited silently as she spoke. That was right, they would be moving in with him and his brothers. Naturally, that would be a burden unto him, if he could not make her submit enough to live in the same house, let alone same room as him. But as she walked away, he felt a remorse for her. She had looked at his brother Lance with such a somber expression, it could have broken his mostly cold heart into pieces, but he refused to let himself pity her. She needed to get over her brother, who happened to be clearly infatuated with the most beautiful of the sisters.

He decided to follow Eve into the house, letting her lead the way. It was getting dark outside and the air had a chill to it, despite the nice weather they had been having. Or maybe it was simply his heart as it reformed into its icy hollowness that it often assumed around others. He had learned to desensitize himself around people so he could get the most out of watching other people deal with emotions. But Evangeline had emotions he knew all too well. He wanted to feel sorry for her, but he couldn't make himself feel more than a little pity. He enjoyed seeing her in pain as she realized his brother was falling in love with his soon to be betrothed.

He cracked the knuckles of his hands in a quick movement before taking the flask from his pocket and taking another swig of his liquor. Alcohol always calmed his nerves; albeit, not more than music, but nevertheless, it worked. He took another long swig before recapping it and entering the room where others could see him again. Casually slipping the flask back into his pocket, he put on a polite smiles and nodded to the other members of the conjoint family hood.

{ If only he were real, eh? Well, sorry to burst your bubble, ladies, but he isn't. }

"No, sorry. I was too busy watching you trip." He was now standing, better yet, kneeling in the water beside her. "Come on, let's get you inside. I wouldn't want you to get sick." He offered her a hand, hoping she would take it.

Kapu was now rolling on the ground laughing at this point. He had been able to speak, he would have said, "You two are perfect for each other! Clumsy like no one else! And now look at your Lancy, you're all wet and fancy! Teeheehee!"

Lance glared over at the wolf. "NOT FUNNY!" He was blushing again and he felt the water slowly soak into his pants. Looking around, he assumed that no one was near.

He bit his lip and scattered a handful of rose peddles over Amelia. Grinning, the male moved in closer to the female. His white teeth glistened in the bright moonlight. His heart raced as he stood this close to her. Looking down at his feet, Lance took the female's hands in his own. Twirling her around, he seemed to be... dancing with her?

Kaputin suddenly barked them as he sensed Eve's presence. Frowning, Lance dropped Amelia's hands. "Shall we?" He bowed and smirked. A devilish grin overcame his slender face. Scooping Amelia up, he swung the woman around some. After twirling her, he pressed his nose into the back of her neck.

"Are you disappointed?" His voice was a tad sarcastic as his breath tickled her neck. Dancing with her again, he managed to get his foot twisted in a root from the nearby tree. His eyes widened as he fell, knocking down Amelia too. Moving quickly, the male caught his soon-to-be wife. "Oops." He laughed again, his charming smile swept over his face again. The stars and moonlight seemed to illuminate his golden eyes, almost making them seem like the actual rare treasure - gold.

"Tell me, miss Amelia, if you could have one wish, what would it be?" He rolled over so he was now hovering over her body. His eyes caught hers again. Blushing, he lowered his head and placed a sweet kiss on her forehead. Kapu, who had caught onto the mood that Lance was trying so hard to set (or was he?), yanked at some roses. This abrupt movement sent some more peddles dancing toward the couple on the grass. Wagging his tail, Kapu watched the two happily.


((DUDE! Love square! XD Lance, you are rather popular with the ladies. And I'm sure after everyone reads this post, they will be mad envious of Amelia.))

She hesitated a moment but her eyes narrowed mischievously and she took his hand. She blushed when he threw the rose petals. Well that's a bit odd for- Her thoughts were cut off as he took her other hand and started spinning her in a strange dance, right there in the water of the garden fountain, moving slowly out into a twirling moonlit garden dance. When he dropped her hand all she could do was stand in stunned silence. She never knew that any of the Kurai brothers could be romantic. Than again she had never spent much time with them back when they had been allowed to see each other.

"That was nice." He caught her breath again, lifting her into the air and spinning her around. His mouth rested near her ear as he touched his nose to the back of her neck, sending an involuntary shiver down her spine. "no." She managed to breath out just before he decided to trip on a root causing her to squeak and cling to him as soon as he caught her.

The sparkling moonlight caught his eyes and she let out a gasp. She couldn't speak, she was entranced. Her eyes shone brightly, much unlike her pale green eyes, and she stared into his. The only thing she was aware of was Lance, her future husband, who was practically lying on top of her, inches from her face. His voice seemed to rumble through her and she shivered again. "I.. I'd have to think about that. There's an awful lot out there...that you can wish for." Her forehead tingled as his lips touched.

Maiara gave a nod to Eve as he passed her on her way out. She brushed back Donald as well. It was clear that she was upset. Heading out to the garden she noticed Amelia and Lance. She just ignored them. They seemed to be having a good time. She made her way past Kapu as she headed further into the garden. Going around the twists and turns she found herself near her mother's grave.

She sat on the ground beside the grave with her hands folded on her lap. She started crying softly. "Oh how I wish you were still with us. Father has gone mad. He's greedy and now wants to destroy our home." She talked to their mother like this sometimes. It was silly and maybe a bit childish, but she didn't care. After she was finished talking she leaned back and looked at the sky. It had gotten dark and you could see the first stars. The trails of her tears glistened in the moonlight.

Eve had walked in silence with Don into the house, she was dead, so very dead that things didn’t seem to matter to her. She heard him crack his knuckles, and then there was a swishing sound, Great my husband drinks, what if he likes to abuse people also? She thought to her self, she walked into the dinning, looking around at everyone. Her father seemed to give her a look that said he will deal with her later.

“Thank you for cooking dinner, Sister. I am most regrettably sorry to say that I feel very ill and will be retiring for the night. So please excuse me.” she said to everyone, she curtsied to them, soon she turned and left the room, she glanced at the door and wondered for a moment if she should bolt for it and to never see her family again.

She didn’t care that she was going to be beaten until she couldn’t move later that night, she looked around the entrance way. She was going to miss this place and all the memories that it held, she looked back at Don, and she didn’t think that she could ever love that man. She rested her hand on the banister as she made her way slowly up the stairs to her room.

She pushed open the cedar door, showing the teal colored room with the white cherry tree design with a few white blossoms here and there. Her furniture had made it back to the proper places, she knew that she couldn’t take them with her. She rand a hand over the smooth surface, every piece of wood in her room was cedar. It was her favorite type of wood, it smells so good when it burns and even when it is not burning and was just freshly cut.

She walked to her wardrobe, pulling out a long male shirt, she tugged her dress off and pulled the shirt on. She looked around at everything in her room, there were boxes for her to start packing things, she didn’t want to leave her home, her room, her memories. She pulled a box towards the foot of her hanging bed, and she began to walk around the room, picking up little things and packing them. Wrapping the breakables in her clothes so that they wouldn’t break will being moved.

Soon it was extremely late, her room was bare of all her belongs except for her furniture and bed. Her clothes were packed except what she was wearing and a outfit for tomorrow. She sighed heavily, she had done a lot, it always happened like this when she was upset, what was even more upsetting was that she could move out tomorrow. She turned the light off, climbed into her swinging bed, she curled up until she was just a ball and started to fall a sleep.

Bastian smiled and put a medium sized portion of spaghetti onto his plate and ate some of it. It really was good. When her father said he wanted to try the cookies, he smiled politely. "Thank you. I hope they're to your liking as well." he said as he took another bite of the food. He really was hungry, since he didn't eat too much lunch. His ear perked at the ring and he smelled the cookies as Katie took them out of the oven. The cookies smelled mouthwatering. "They Smell good as well. Looks like I had a very good teacher for both things." he said with a small chuckle.

"Well,to be a good teacher you have to have a good student."She said and took a cookie off the plate like the fathers were doing.
The Amaya father took a bite and grinned."These are good Bastian."He smiled.
Katie took a bite of the cookie.She tasted the gooey chocolate and grinned at how could they were.
"Well,a lot of your sisters are getting along greatly with there fiances at the moment.."The father mumbled.
Katie nodded."So am I .."She mumbled in return and took a sip of her wine.It tasted sour as always since she didn't like to drink,she thought it tasted horrible and made her feel a little dizzy.

(ah the sweet taste of wine *makes a face* okay my actual reason for posting was that I may not be on until late tonight due to I'm still sick. >.< So sorry ahead of time. =] )

"You would have to think about that? Ha ha. I think you are but the first person to say such a thing." His golden eyes looked over toward here her sister was going. "What is with everyone," he said still straddling her. "It seems they are all upset with their chosen fate."

A gust of wind sent his hair spinning when something finally came to him. "Are... are you unhappy?" Rolling off of her, he sat beside her. "All I have ever wanted was to please someone to no ends. I've grown up living a hateful, dark, and rather cruel life. I would never want someone close to me to suffer as I hate. I fight not for myself, but for them." A smile came to his face. "I accepted the request to be a soldier because I knew I could protect my family. I fought so damn hard that I was awarded several times. Heh, I was called the ninja amongst the night."

Kapu cocked his head and walked over to him. Licking his face, the wolf laid down beside his master. "Oh, you've never heard my story before have you Kapu?" He rubbed the wolf's ears. "Anyways, I joined so I could protect my father, my brothers, and someday a future wife." Looking at his shirt-less self, he smirked. "I'm a bit disappointed that I never got to meet you sooner. I'm afraid Eve was the only sister I ever actually met. I had to help her get the horses back once because I was fast enough and I guess... strong enough."

Relaxing in the cool grass, the male gazed at the starry sky above them. "If I had one wish, it would be take all the pain away from the one I love. I would never want to hurt them. I would... die for them if that's what she truly desired."

Amelia was stunned, though her heart was pounding. In her heart she really hoped that he was actually talking about her when he said such sweet things about a wife. But a forced marriage... she didn't think that it could be possible that he was actually... in love with her.

She smiled sitting up and leaning on her hand, the water trickling down her forehead from getting soaked tickled her but she ignored it. Lance was trying to tell her something and she didn't want to interrupt. When he finished she pushed the water from her dripping hair out of her eyes and laid down on the grass next to him. "That's a very unselfish wish." She whispered, "And here I was trying to figure out exactly what in nature I would wish for." She laughed lightly, like fairy bells, and looked at him. "I was imagining something in the woods, maybe a cabin surrounded by the most gorgeous forest that no one knows exists. And a large lake that sparkles brightly whenever light hits it. It feels safe, warm, and free." She smiled up at the sky, at him.

Suddenly she tarted laughing and squirmed sitting up. "Ahhh stop that!" She couldn't stop laughing, "that tickles!" Crawling across her leg was a few ants that had come out of the grass and decided her leg would be an amazing place to investigate for food. She squirmed and bent down picking them up and putting them back on the ground. "I'm not food you silly ants." She watched them march away and her head was titled as she followed them with her eyes.

Snickering the male caught a moth on his finger. Moving it closer to her, the moth opened its wings which now hid his face. "Hey," he complained, "she is mine. You can't have her." Lowering his head, he stuck his tongue out at her.

"Oh, and I know exactly where you should live. I saw it once. It was picture perfect. There was a beautiful lake that was surrounded by the most beautiful mountains and forest I've ever seen. The trees are so high up in the sky too. It's where I found Kapu. I got lost a few months ago... and well, I thought I was going to be a goner. Then this fellow showed up." He patted Kapu on the stomach. "He pretty much saved my life. Ever since then, we've been best pals.

"I promised him that one day I would bring him back home to that place. I'm not sure if you're interested, but if you'd like to join us, I'm sure Kapu wouldn't mind." He blew air into the wolf's face. Jumping back, the wolf caught Lance's nose between his jaws. Tugging ever so gently, Lance burst out laughing. "So that! It tickles!" Squirming, the male bumped into Amelia. "Kapu, knock it out!" He poked at the girl. "This is no fair. If I'm getting tickled, you need to be too!"

Annabell sat in the seat Isaac pulled out. "Thank you"she said softly. She waited for her other sister's to come she wasn't very hungry so she sat down and stayed quiet.
