"'Kay," Lorabelle said with a smile as she took a bite of toast. "Have a good time at class!"

After a few moments pause, Lorabelle looked up at Ben with confusion, "How do I turn on the magic box again?"

"Oh, the remote." Ben said as he walked over to the coffee table and hit the power button on the remote. Walking over to Lora, Ben pointed out the two buttons that would switch the channels. "These will change the channels on the tv up and down." He said before giving her forehead a kiss. "See ya in a few hours." He said blushing from kissing her forehead, what had made him do that? But before Ben could think into it to much he was out the door and on his way to campus.

Lorabelle, thinking nothing of what hat transpired between them, smiled as she happily finished her breakfast. Taking the remote, Lorabelle walked into the living room and curled up on the couch with Ben's pillow and blanket. Pulling the blanket to her shoulders, due to it being chilly, Lorabelle flipped through the channels until she came to the channel that had 2-D images moving around on the screen. Setting the remote on the table in front of the couch, Lorabelle slipped back under the blanket and watched the show before her.

Ben's classes seemed even more dull then usual as his thoughts kept traveling back to the woman in his apartment until a wad of paper hit the back of his head during Biology lecture. Ben sat up from the impact though he turned subtly to see who the thrower was, spotting a friend of his, Nate, in the back row. He bent over slightly and picked up the paper, uncrinkling it underneath the desk as to not alert the teacher.

Pizza at 6?

Was all it read and Ben turned again to nod at Nate before returning his attention to the teacher who had begun to wrap up the lecture. A very relieved Ben packed his books into his bag only to look up and see Nate standing over him. "Alright so that makes four of us going." He said though he was looking at his phone.

"Make that five." Ben said, causing Nate to raise his eyebrows. "There's been a woman staying with me because she got kicked out of her home." He explained.

"Taking in the homeless." Nate said, nodding as he thought it over. "I don't understand it but I can respect it. See you guys later." He said before giving a last wave to Ben and disappearing out the door.

It wasn't long before Lorabelle was giggling at the magic box. For all the bad humans created, Lorabelle found herself realizing the good they created as well. The creativity that must have been in the minds of the humans who created these pictures upon the screen, the ingenuity of the creators of everything around her--it was all so unbelievable and intriguing. Surely not all humans created or caused monstrosities if they created things like this... right?

Ben finished with the rest of his classes with a bored stare before packing up his things for the day and heading home to see Lora again. Though on the way to his apartment, Ben stopped at Gina and Jack's apartment to pick up some more clothes for Lora and returning to his own place.

"Lora?" Ben asked as he stepped through the door, weighed down by a pile of clothes along with his bookbag pulling on his shoulders.

Slipping from the couch, the blanket still wrapped around her, Lorabelle rain to the door with a smile. "Welcome home," Lorabelle said with a grin, "How was school? It sounds fun, but I fear I would get too carried away with all of it's adventures to actually be able to learn anything!"

"It was mostly lectures with little lab classes today but I brought you some clothes." Ben said as he dropped his bag to the floor and held out the pile of clothes to Lora. "Hopefully these will give you something to wear for a little while. But until I get a check from my parents I can't afford alot of new clothes." Ben blushed before pulling out his books and setting a few of them onto the counter.

Lorabelle smiled as she took the clothes, "Thank you. And you needn't worry about buying me clothes, Ben. I'll find some way to support myself, I promise."

"Sorry, Lora." Ben said, shaking his head. "I didn't mean to make you feel guilty. You staying here is no problem." He assured her softly. "Oh and do you mind going out for pizza tonight? A few friends from school are going and invited us." He asked, laughing a bit at how married they sounded. It was more then a little strange.

"Are you sure? Surely your parents are not sending you enough money to take care of me as well," Lorabelle argued as she looked up at Ben, setting the clothes upon the table. "You have already done so much for me.. You cannot expect me to depend upon your kindness forever.. I feel wretched about that," Lorabelle admitted with a sigh.

"Don't be." Ben frowned as he pulled out a worksheet from his Biology lecture and began to flip through the chapter for answers. "I'm sorry that I made you feel guilty, that wasn't my intention. And don't worry about the money situation. I'll make it work out, okay?" He asked. "And you still didn't answer me on that pizza." He teased with a small smile.

Plopping down into a chair, Lorabelle rested her chin sullenly upon the pile of clothes. "What is this.. pizza.. you speak of?" It was quite apparent that her usual curiosity and excitement had vanished and the solemn disposition had replaced it.

"Pizza is a food. Its a round piece of dough with tomato sauce and cheese on top. Then its baked and I can promise its delicious." Ben smiled up at Lora, noting her long face. "I'm sorry I'm not that interesting." Ben said shyly as he gestured towards his homework. "I just figured if I get it out of the way soon then we can do something fun after without having to worry about these sheets."

Lorabelle quickly sat up and shook her head, surprised he had thought that was the reason for her sullen mood, "No, not at all! It is not that that has put my mood to sullen, I assure you. I am merely worried about your ability to support both myself and you, not to mention go to school, keep your same life style.. I've added such a large burden to your shoulders, and that isn't fair to you."

"Lora." Ben said with a small smile as he set down his pencil and looked across the table at her. "I'm not going to say things aren't going to change for me but if I didn't want to help you then I wouldn't. I like having you here because honestly its been getting lonely here by myself. So I think it'd be easier if you just worried about your own entertainment in my semi boring lifestyle instead of financial problems." He said, reaching a hand closer to her and placing it on the counter. "Okay?"

"Okay," Lorabelle said with a sigh as she rested her chin back down on the clothes. However, after a few moments a smile graced her lips as she sat back up in her seat. Taking Ben's hand in hers, Lorabelle grinned as she said again, but in a happier tone, "Okay! I'll keep focused on my own entertainment." Little did Ben realize, a plan was formulating in Lorabelle's ever imaginative brain. If there was a way to spin that statement into Ben giving her the okay to get a job, Lorabelle had found that loophole.

"Alright." Ben said with an unexpecting smile. "It shouldn't take long to finish all this paperwork but then we can find something to do." He offered by picking up his pencil and beginning again on his Biology worksheet.

"Sounds fun," Lorabelle said rather distractedly, but with a smile, as she looked around the apartment kitchen/dining area, hoping to spot a newspaper. Unfortunately, there wasn't one around. A small frown crossing her lips for just a brief moment, Lorabelle wondered how she would get her hands on a newspaper. She wasn't sure how she was going to get a job with it, but she knew humans read it a lot. So surely there had to be some information in it, right?

"What are you looking for?" Ben asked curiously before scribbling down a few lines for one of the questions, his head never rising from his homework as he tried to skim for answers in the reading.

"A newspaper. I see humans reading them all the time and I am curious as to why," Lorabelle said with a smile as she propped her elbows in the table and rested her chin in her palms. "Are they common?"

"Yes I get one daily." Ben said as he opened a drawer next to him and pulled out a copy. "Its yesterdays but I haven't gotten my mail yet." He explained as he handed the newspaper to Lora before losing himself into questions of animal health.

Grinning, Lorabelle slipped through the newspaper. Unfortunately, she couldn't read a single line. of course, she could speak English, but she couldn't read English. Folding it back up, Lorabelle set it down off to the side before plopping her chin down on the pile of clothes.

Ben raised an eyebrow as he looked up at Lora, his pencil falling onto his neary finished worksheet again. "What are you having trouble with?" He asked curiously as he noticed her frown.

Lorabelle blushed a deep scarlet as she looked look at her lap, "N-N-Nothing.. It's nothing."

Looking up at him, Lorabelle sighed. "I just... I'm afraid I can't read English.." Lorabelle admitted softly, her blush deepening as she lightly bit her lower lip out of nervous habit.
