"Why? Andy are you kidding me?" He said and tilted her chin up. "Why can't I just... do something good for you without being questioned about it? I did it because you don't need the added stress in your life. I'm going to be on your parents hate list, they won't understand me. I've put you in harms way with Becky, and my family... I got you pregnant. Your stress is higher than it should be, and I'm giving you what I know how to give, money is no object to me, I've got plenty to share, and if it makes you happier... then..." He licked his lips and looked at her damp eyes, touching her cheek. "I'm happy to spend it on you." He wiped her tears away and grinned. "I do know what to do... most days. Around you things get a little fuzzy... but I'd like to think... that... I don't know." He shrugged. "I can make it all work?"

He kissed her forehead and grinned. "And even if I'm a bit unconventional, I want to meet your family."

"I'm sorry you have to deal with me like this," Andy murmured. "It's all just hitting me at once." She sighed. "God, my parents are going to freak, if my grandmother didn't tell them already. You know how common seers are... And my Nana is a good one." Almost on cue, her cell phone started buzzing on her nightstand. "Watch, that will be my dad." Reaching out a hand, her phone landed in her palm softly. She bit her lip when she saw it was indeed her home number. She hit the answer button before it could roll to voicemail. "Hello?"

"Young lady, how DARE you!" her father's voice snapped. She flinched.

"Daddy--" she started.

"Don't you 'daddy' me, young lady," her father said. "I thought we raised you better than that! I thought you had a good head on your shoulders!"

"Well forgive me for not thinking straight because I was riding a power-high!" Andy snapped, nearly hysterical. Her father paused, and she could hear the phone being taken from him.

"Your father is just upset, sweetie," her mother's voice said. "Let him calm down. We're disappointed, but it's nothing that we won't get over. We can discuss this next time you're home."

"Alright, Mama," Andy said softly. She looked like she was about to start crying again.

"Think about things, okay? We'll support you, sweetie, you know that."

"Thanks, Mama," Andy said. After the two exchanged brief goodbyes, Andy hung up.

Nathaniel listened calmly, brushing the girls hair out of her eyes. "I think the feeling is going to be mutual between me and your father. It isnt right to consider your daughter a disgrace." He whispered and then laid back, pulling the girl with him, moving her correctly as to put her head on his chest and he smiled calmly, playing and petting her soft hair. "You and your power-highs... Our kid may have never been truly planned, but you know that they will have a loving family. Your dad and mom love you and they will love our kid." He said and smiled. "Who do you think they are? Annabelle or Riley? I can only ask of you to not change Rileys name. You can make it his middle name... But Ive got an entire house custom made, and one room... Im sure you will see someday. Its in Denver Colorado." He said and then grinned. "Andy... You know you channged my life for the best right?"

"My dad gets upset easily," Andy defended. She let him lays her back, and snuggled a bit closer. "You've seen me on a power-high twice, actually. It happens when I trance out, when I'm doing something big or complicated. Using my power gives me a migrane if I do it too much at once, but if I trance out, then somehow it releases endorphins or something, and it kind of postpones the migranes. I think it's because when I trance out like that, I'm using energy that normally goes towards my other senses. And how am I supposed to know if the kid is Riley or Annabelle? I'm not the one who hears the future." She was feeling better now that they'd talked.

"Close your eyes, you cute nonbeliever." He said and then took her hand and rested it on her lower belly. "When was your first power high." He whispered into her ear as he led her hand over the brief expanse of skinn shown there. "Now, eyes closed, feel the itsy bitsy tiiiiny egg inside you and tell me what you thing you will be having." He whispered. "Everyone has psychic abilities sometimes. They know when people are watching them. They know how people will react to what they say usually. Sure, you may know because you know the person, but the emotion... Thats psychic." He whispered quietly.

"The first power high that you were around for was when I had to pull my bra down from the ceiling fan," Andy mumured, closing her eyes as he told her to. "I tranced out to get all my stuff put away as fast as I could." She felt him take her hand gently and lay it on her stomach. She did as he said and tried to let her intuition tell her whether the baby would be male or female, but nothing happened. "I... can't tell."

Nathaniel grinned and kissed her neck. "Well Im hoping for a boy. No girly talks-- Awh shit. Hes gay. I lose either way!" He said and laughed. "Ill change his diapers if you give him the sex talk." He teased and sighed. "If you arent pregnant that means my visions and your families seer are wrong... My power keeps getting more and more confusing."

"No, Nana's usually pretty spot-on," Andy replied softly. "She's been doing this for a long time. That's why my parents were so upset, because her visions are so reliable. Which means in a week or so I'll go down to the campus health office for a pregnancy test, to make it official." She sighed. "I'll need to set up an appointment with my doctor after that, maybe near the end of the month." Then she had a thought and blinked. "I'm going to have to tell my friends why everything is about to change, but I'm fairly sure they'll be more excited than annoyed."

Nathaniel grinned and kissed her temple and laughed. "Your friends I'm betting will be completely overjoyed. Your nana sounds like an interesting character whom I would love to speak with, and if I can go with you on your hospital visits, may I?" He asked and then sighed. "If you don't want me with you it's completely understandable." He said and kissed her temple and took her waist and pulled her inbetween his legs, sitting up slightly with her back to his chest and he held her calmly there. "Are you done worrying about the money portion now?"

"I think I'll be alright now," she said as he held her. She leaned back against him. "I suppose you could come for my doctor's visits, if you like... They won't be at the big hospital, though, they'll be at my actual doctor's office." She paused when she heard his family out in the other room, watching a movie again. She sighed. "Would you mind terribly if I flipped the couch on them again?"

"Not at all." He said and grinned, his hand finding her hair and threading through it. "If anything leave it flipped over so they actually have to work to put it back. And if they're too lazy, I get to yell at them for that too!" He said and trailed little circles on her flat toned stomach, raising the shirt a little to touch her skin. "I haven't had any headaches that hurt. I think your effect is lingering on me."

Andy blushed a bit as he rubbed little circles on her stomach.

"I had a migrane last night, but I was able to sleep it off," she said. Slipping into her trance, she reached out with her mind and lifted up the couch. Shaking it a little, she flipped it over, leaving it like that. Coming back out of her trance, she shook her head, feeling a bit of the high come on. She stretched a bit and cuddled into his arms. "There. Flipped the couch."

"Hmmmm..." He murmured and liked it when she cuddled with him. "So with your highs I'm sensing a bit of adoration. I'm not wanting to abuse your high... but when will I know if it's adoration or high-adoration?" He asked and stopped touching her stomach. It went too far last time, she is having his kid because it went so far. They couldn't keep doing that. It truly felt like he was taking advantage of her. "Andy... do you regret last night?" He asked, still not comfortable himself with what they did.

"...A little," Andy admitted, coming down from the brief high. She didn't move from his arms, though. She kind of liked being there. "I keep thinking maybe if we'd done something different... If I had insisted on a condom or something... But we didn't." Softly, she put a hand to her stomach. "I know it's a lot sooner than I had thought it would be, but... I always did want kids."

"WOah don't rush. Let's try one kid for now." He teased and didn't move when she didn't. He liked her there, although over the best few days he'd learned more about her than he knew about himself just from sounds. "I understand your regret, as it is, I'm going to be paying for this for the rest of my life and I don't mind a bit." He said and smiled, still running a hand through her hair. "You are exactly the kind of girl I wanted all throughout highschool but could never find. You're pretty unique, you know that?"

"It's not hard being unique when you're one of us," Andy replied. "Being talented tends to set you apart. Our kid is going to be unique, too, you know." She leaned back against him, feeling a headache coming on now that she was down from her power-high. "I may end up falling asleep on you," she warned him. "The headache is starting, though I don't think it'll turn into a migrane."

"Sleep. Turn off the lights before you do." He whispered and pulled her close before pulling the covers over them. "I'm alright with being used for right now. And yes, it's not hard being unique. Wonder what power our kid gets. they do kind of have quite a selection to choose from."

Reaching out mentally, Andy turned off the lights and relaxed against him.

"The talent is random in my family," she murmured, reminding him. Her head was throbbing a bit, and it was reminding her how tired she was. Resting her head on his arm, she fell asleep quickly.

Nathaniel watched her sleep and found it was harder and harder to draw up sounds from the future and past while around her. He closed his eyes, relaxing and he fell asleep right along with her. He woke the next morning and shifted before he realized where he was and who exactly was on top of him. "Hey." He whispered and pet her hair again, I'm going to go make breakfast, come out when you're ready. He'd fallen asleep fully clothed. He slid out from beneath her and padded out to the kitchen before stopping and seeing everything cleaned up and a note on the table. He picked the note up and sighed as he read.

N - Sorry we overstayed the welcome, we have no place to go where somebody wants us. But your uncle said he'd give us the garage if Nicky and your dad worked at his store. So we're heading to Alabama. Your kids sound great, your girl is very beautiful, and your house is haunted. Have a good life, don't bother coming down for Christmas.

Andy woke up when Nathaniel moved, and she blushed a bit when she realized she was sleeping on him.

"Sorry," she murmured, moving over. "You're comfortable." She nodded when he said he was going to make breakfast, and then curled back up to sleep for a while. She woke up again a while later, and actually stayed awake this time. Stretching, she changed into comfortable clothes and went out into the other room. "Alright, I'm up now."

Nathaniel smiled and kissed her cheek. "Voila, the parents have poofed from existence." He set down a plate for each of them on the table for her, having thrown the note away. "So... how are we going to do this? Your parents know, do you want to go without me, or do you want me there to help.... although me being there may potentially make things worse." He murmured and then got a fork, sitting down to eat. He already had juice on the table for them. He took a drink and sighed. "Silence.... It's so beautiful." He murmured.

"I think we're going to have to figure things out as we go," Andy replied as she took a sip of the juice. "Let my parents have time to calm down and get used to the idea of becoming grandparents. In the meantime, I'll set up the doctor's appointment and start figuring out what all I'm going to need to buy... I'll go online later and do some research."

"Okay, you do all the setting up, you let me write all the checks. It's a good communion." He said and grinned, tapping her foot with his and smiling. "I know you regret it, and I'd worry about you if you didn't.... But I'm glad this happened to us." HE then took a deep breath before continuing. "They didn't know about my family but they were technically allowed to be here. And if they know I'm the father the school won't want us dorming together, and with you having a kid at the end of next year, you won't be able to live in the dorms. I say at Christmas, we move out of the dorms. It might be easier on you." He said and sighed. "I know it's still months away, and we're not sure what's going to happen between then and now, but... it's just an option."

"The school doesn't have to know that you're the father," Andy pointed out. "I won't say anything." She took another sip of her juice. "I can always move back home at the end of the semester, which is the start of winter break. It'll mean I have to commute, but home is only about forty-five minutes out, so it won't be too bad." She still wasn't comfortable with the idea of Nathaniel providing everything for her. She was used to being independant and solving problems by herself.

"Riiight, and they won't assume?" He said and kissed her forehead. "We've got time to work it out. Don't worry. Now I'VE got something to do today on this lovely day off, if you'd like to join you are welcome to." He said and went into his room to get ready, jumping in the shower for the quickest wash known to man. He stepped out, got dressed and checked his wallet. All the cash was gone but the cards. Well, that was a step up. Last time his parents had taken his credit cards. That's a hard one to explain to the bank.

He checked his watch and then grabbed his nicer shoes padding into the living room. "You know, sometimes I think my parents will grow up.... but they never do." He murmured before working on the shoes and tying them. "It's a rather long drive, you don't have to go. You can have a girls night out with your friends. I probably won't be back until early tomorrow morning.
