Coventina had killed many of the attackers, and recieved minor wounds. She couldn't be more greatful that so many warriors came to aid them. Thinking that they were nearly threw all the attackers, but they weren't even close. The enemies just kept coming at them, almost like a miniture army. It was gut renching. She recieved a nasty bite to the shoulder, and Sky tore into the animal and killed the attacker. Refusing to back down, the water alpha ignored the pleas of her warrior and kept fighting. An image passed threw her mind, Noctis. His strength, the way he fought. Shaking her head with the neck of an attacker in her mouth, she blinked and then moved to attack again. She needed to keep her mind on the battle, she needed to kill as many of these monsters as she could. The thought of loosing so many warriors made her sick, and she wanted to end this.
Trying to keep himself close to his alpha, Sky worked hard. Killing swiftly and mercylessly, he moved as if he was the shadow of Coventina. Any attacker coming close to her side or hind quarters would be disposed of swiftly. He refused to let her die, and when this was all said and done, he would begin the trial to become her mate. He would do everything in his power to pass the tests of the elders, and be the rock in which their leader needed. He wanted to always be by her side, that was his wish in life. Growling deeply as another attacker came at them he lept up to meet it, and tore its leg clean off, and then went for the neck. Seeing all the killed and wounded was sickening, but it wouldn't stop until someone gave in, and knowing Coventina, it wouldn't be them.

Gemini woke at midday and begged weakly for water."it is almost finished.Ketaro-San, I am winning...but I'm so cold..." she said, and lapsed back into unconsciousness yet again.though she claimed to be cold, her fever was high and her body was like a furnace to the touch.

Jazereth called,"Coventina! Sky! Fighting her way through to them. She said,"My pack is now securing your people and your land. Even though the enemy is still comming, I doubt they'll even do any damage to my warriors." Suddenly sensing an enemy, she snapped around to see a wolf vault in the air aiming at her throat. Waiting til a second before impact, Jazereth shifted and shoved a dagger into its stomach. Kicking off the carcass, she sheathed her weapon. To be tackled by another enemy. Its fangs we're snapping at her throat just inches away. Holding back the beast, she shoved her hands into its mouth and grabbed its gangs. Twisting suddenly, its neck snapped.

Ketaro didn't understand. She was as hot as a fire yet she said she was cold. Her mind was in a completely different state the. Her body was. 'What should I do?!',he thought worriedly. 'The healer is definately tending to other wounded!"

Somehow, in her unconscious state, Gemini reached out to Ketaro and grasped his hand, as if trying to reassure him.though her skin was hot, she seemed to be saying "it's ok."

The Attacker's, though they seemed Reluctent, knew that they would eventually loose this battle. 6 or 7 of them howled, and the Enemy started retreating, except for a Few Stragler's. One Injured wolf was trying to limp away, on a injured foot. Syndarion walked up to him, and pushed him over, then placed a clawed paw on his throat.

It had went quicker than she expected it too. This seemed like it was only a small attack.

A pink tongue lolled from the scarlet-colored wolf's tongue, the copper eyes narrowing as Cheza watched the attackers hastily retreat. The remaining enemies were dead, save for a select few. Some half dragged themselves after their comrades. The others only lay on the ground, their breathing slow as they waited for death to claim them. The alphas would decide what to do with them.

Cheza herself wasn't hurt. Battle had only managed to shorted her breath and muss up her fur a bit.

Her mouth shut and her ears pricked up, eyeing the wolf off to her right who had trapped one of the remaining attackers under one of his clawed paws. She stepped closer.

Coventina found a smile on her muzzle as she heard Jezereth. Her pack would be alright, and with the fire clan at her side, they would live as well. She moved to kill the last few attackers, trying to find an opening to thank her fellow alpha. "Thank you Jezereth, it is much appreciated." she said right before she clenched her teeth on another wolf neck. Seeing as the enemy retreated, she sighed heavily in relief. This was good, maybe now her poor people would be able to get a few days rest before the first frost. Seeing the male that had joined them a bit earlier she rushed forward and growled angerily. "Step away from him! He is injured! As pride of a wolf, and on my territory, I command you to leave him alone!" she snapped angerily, and then shifted, kneeling next to the poor thing, and gently reached forward to rest a gentle hand on his side. "I know it hurts... I am deeply sorry anyone had to be injured during this... But while I fetch my healer, can you answer me some questions?" she asked gently, looking into his eyes with genuine care.

Sky kept onto Coventina's side, and admired Jezereth as she fought so fluidly and with such strength. His eyes seemed to travel between both alpha's, which made him learn much. He learned techniquices that he would have never come up with on his own, but seeing the retreat, he howled tryumphantly with the rest of the allienced wolves did. Though as Coventina ran up to the injured wolf getting stepped on, he called for a healer and loped over, covering Coventina like a body guard, eyeing the other wolf wirily.

He was frustrated. He'd missed the attack. Noctis growled to himself, snapping at the nearest warrior who'd accompanied him. He moved closer to the Water clan's alpha as they howled in victory. The Earth wolf was nearly trembling with the anger he felt: rarely did he find himself too late for fighting. Now, though, it seemed as though this particular battle had been won.

"You think that healing him will make him talk?" his voice was gruff as he transformed to his human body, looking down at the wounded wolf warily. Noctis nearly scoffed, but instead turned his maroon eyes to Coventina. It was good to see her . . . slightly well. Not much better, really. Just worn and still healing.

Syndarion looked at her, and changed into his human form, and cracked his neck. He then bowed. "Hello, Coventina.......I am Syndarion, leader of the dark brotherhood.....these were my warrior's on your side. "He said, turning his face toward's the remaining guard's.

Surprised as she heard a familiar voice, Coventina looked up to see Noctis. "Yes. I do." she said and looked back down at the poor warrior. "Please... I will tell you everything I know..." the male whimpered, his eyes full of pain. Her eyes softened and she put a hand on his head. "I will have our healer take care of you..." she said gently, and stood once the healer hurried to the wolf. She turned to the male who introduced himself, Syndarion. "Thank you for sending your warriors to our aid, it was most gracious of you doing so..." she said and looked around her beautiful beach. It was stained with blood. The sight made her chest squeeze painfully as she looked around. "So many unneeded casualties..." she breathed and looked to both alphas. "Sky, please help Jezereth and her warriors back to the huts, I want them away from the battle feild, and separated from Noctis." she whispered swiftly in the male's ear. She then turned to Syndarion. "I know you have many injuries among your pack, so if you would go to the mouth of the cave, my healers will be there to meet you." she said gently and then turned to Noctis. "I need to clean this beach..." she breathed. Her eyes suddenly turned pure electric blue and the ocean swept across the sand, up to their ankles, and wrapped around the bodies of the enemies. They were dragged out to the sea, as well as the blood, and then dragged into the depths never to be seen again. The sand was now blood free, and blinking, the water alpha's eyes returned to normal. Turning to the earth alpha she smiled warmly. "I'm happy to see you again Noctis. I'm sorry you weren't here for the battle... Since it is what you are talented at." she said lightly and pressed a hand to her side. Still unhealed and the bandages gone, the wound from the previous fight was still there, and bleeding slowly once again.
Upon hearing the whispered words of her alpha, and knowing Noctis and Jezereth would back Coventina up against this new guy, Sky loped over to the fire alpha. Shifting back, he grinned at her. "Your fighting is amazing." he said and looked to his alpha. "My alpha asks if you would move your warriors back to the huts... I believe it's going to get a little wet." he said lightly and as they walked, he felt the shift in the sand. Turning around, he watched as the water flew over the sand, bur seemed to ignore all those who were standing(and the wolf being healed.). He then turned back to Jezereth and grabbed his glasses from the spot he had tossed them to. "Who trains all of your warriors? Because I think our warriors could use a few moves like some of the ones you all have." he said, seeming to be very comfortable talking with the alpha. Forth water clan, they talked to Covetina just like she was a normal pack mate. So it was natural for him to talk to Jezereth this way. Though he was trying his best not to think of Coventina with Noctis by herself. For some reason, it hit a nerve.

Jazereth nodded and let Sky lead the way. Noticing that he was disturbed by Noctis she laughed. "Dont worry, he's too thick to have a chance, you have some time. And I personally train all my warriors. But first I choose if they are worthy. They go through extreme tests just to try to become one. In the end usually 2 out of 6 become a warrior. The conditions are harsh, but they learn quickly.",she said. Something about the way that Sky cared about Coventina made Jazereth shudder. But then again love in her pack was useless and practically shunned. "In my pack we do not acknowledge love, it is but a burden and a distraction.",she said harshly.

Ketaro clung to Gemini's hand, trying to bring her back. Not many people ever go through what she was. It wasn't that common, but that made it even more terrifying. Not knowing what would happen if she lost, Ketaro growled,"If only Syndarion was here. He could help."

"Are you so ready to accept him already, Ketaro?" Navi stepped into their part of the hut with a bowl of soup. She set it beside Gemini before smiling slightly. "Syndarion left this morning. He seemed to be in a hurry." Her white eyes lingered on the young woman on the bed. Carefully reaching out to touch her forehead, the alpha frowned a bit.

Gemini was strong. Surely she wouldn't fall so easily to her inner wolf.

-

Noctis narrowed his eyes, but said nothing as the enemy warrior was tended to. The Earth alpha glanced up, surprised by the water that licked at his ankles - or would have, but somehow didn't. His maroon eyes flickered back to Coventina before he smiled slightly. "It's a gift," he said with a somewhat playful growl, "that I treasure."

His steps brought him close to the woman, and his arm brushed against hers before he looked back down to the wolf who was writhing in pain. Noctis looked unsympathetic - honestly, he looked like he'd rather kill the boy. The only thing that kept him from doing so was the fact that this wasn't his territory.

Noctis watched Sky walk away with a strange sort of anger welling within him. Something about the other male made him bristle, and he wasn't even sure why.

Syndarion bowed his Head to Coventina. "I would, but i must return to the Wind-clan territory. Also, my warrior's do not need aid. most of them are Trained in Small matter's of healing. "he said. "Those of them that did not die, did not suffer serious wound's......I'd like to gather the dead's body's up, though, and give them proper burial. "He said. He then left, making the wounded wolf fallow. The Dark-brotherhood wolf's started gathering the body's up.

Sky looked to Jezereth and shook his head. "How can you sustain love, when that is literally the embodiment of family?" he asked. "I've heard you have pups, are you saying that you do not love them? That if they were to fall to harm or were to leave you, it wouldn't hurt or frighten you?" he prodded. He couldn't believe that love was something practically extinct in the fire clan, when his very tribe and life was founded upon love. Doing his best to ignore Noctis, the male looked around at the fire tribe. Most of them looked like what he would picture regular wolves would look like, there wasn't many with exotic features like the water clan.

Smiling softly hearing Noctis Coventina looked into his face. "I can tell, it has shaped you into the alpha you are." she said gently and looked at the waves lapping up the shore like normal. "I don't understand why someone would want our tribe's scroll.... They wouldn't be able to read it if they got to it..." she said thoughtfully. "Sky won't bite... I promise." she said lightly, and giggled at Noctis. Somethings he did was just so funny and cute. "How is your pack? Everyone healthy? Safe?" she asked curiously before nodding to Syndarion. He could take care of his dead however he pleased, he was their leader, though she wasn't proud to say that he was on her beach. Knowing he was from the dark brotherhood made her naturally want to fight him. Though she was truely very thankful for him and his warriors in helping her and the fire tribe in keeping those attackers away.

Noctis wrinkled his nose when Coventina mentioned Sky. Sky. Now he had a name. The Earth alpha looked back to where Sky stood with the Fire clan, watching him for a few moments. "Who is he?" The question wasn't about Sky's name, but his position in the Water tribe's pack. He was dying with curiosity, really.

The male glanced about him again, looking almost unsettled. What could he do here to help? The fighting was over, and there was no place for a male with an abundance of spirit and eagerness to battle. It was difficult to keep himself from pacing or fidgeting. Noctis fell still, forcing himself to stand beside Coventina. "We should find out where the attacks come from. It would be easier to attack them and wipe them out instead of waiting for their next move."

((:boogie: Yesh. One day of school left. *victory dance*))

An ear turned to the side as Cheza watched the water alpha stoop to comfort the warrior who had been fighting for her enemy a minute ago. Tcha. That's no good. Why cry for the enemy? Shows of love couldn't woo an army into retreating. Kindness wouldn't make the one responsible for this turn soft. She was too gentle for war.

On another note, Cheza was beginning to feel out of place. By now, all of the five alphas were gathered together. She was one of the only two non-alphas watching the scene. Maybe Jazereth would have something for her to do...

But she then glanced over at the other non-alpha called Sky and scoffed. "We can love, of course, and the alpha loves her pups, mind you. What mother doesn't want to see her children kept healthy and strong? The things we turn away from are more complex versions of 'love'." All they did was create instability in one way or another. It was so much easier to just do something.

Sky shook his head and then smirked. "I think it's wrong to not let love take it's course... But it's not my pack, and I can only try to understand." he said and then looked to the young warriors at the cave mouth. "I can only imagine how amazing it is to go through your warrior training... But since I'm the eldest warrior now, I have to tend to the troops..." he said lightly and chuckled. Winking at both girls he bowed and adjusted his glasses. "The pack is going to be much stronger thanks to you ladies, thank you."

Coventina frowned hearing Noctis's question, and sighed softly. "He is going threw the trials to be approved by the elders to court me." she said gently and looked at the sand. He wants to claim me as his. When the earth alpha spoke of needing to know where the attackers came from, the female smiled. "That's why I took in that warrior, I will make him tell me... Either threw kindness, or force." she said with a smirk, and then looked to the trees on the grass inland. "Have you ever had fresh fruit this time of year?" she asked and then grinned. "There is a place that we have, that will surprise you." she said and led him into a smaller cave, and walked with him in the dim lit cave, and it opened up into a bright lit area, with fruit trees. It was still in the cave, but it the ceiling let in light. "I fashioned the fueling like this so we could still grow our fruit trees." she said lightly, waiting to see Noctis's reaction.

Gemini's eyelids fluttered a bit at her Alpha's touch, but she didn't stir.inside her mind, she was locked in a deadly embrace with her wolf.give up, weakling! the wolf snarled.Gemini took a swipe, hitting the spirit across the muzzle."never! I wont let you win!" She growled panting from the effort.the wolf was weakening, but so was she.they would have to finish it soon, one way or the other, or neither of them would survive.Gemini remembered her mother telling her that every wolf went through the change, but not every wolf came out human.and some wolves even died.she shook her head.she would live through this, no matter what.the wolf tackled her.your resolve is not strong enough.you can't win! the beast snapped.Gemini knew it was true.she needed something stronger to hold on to, some reason that would carry her forward.distantly, she felt her mentor's hand gripping hers."Ketaro-San...I have to win for Ketaro-San!" The thought sent strength surging through her, and she kicked the wolf off of her and jumped up.soon the wolf was on the run, and Gemini was winning.on the outside, any wolf-like features remaining began to disappear, and the fever receded.

Noctis' maroon eyes narrowed. Why should I care if he courts her? Well, that's what his mind was thinking. His heart, on the other hand, was full of a strange kind of disgruntled annoyance. "So he wants to be your mate," he said bluntly, his narrowed gaze boring into Sky from across the beach.
The Earth alpha, being the brusque (and rather uncouth) individual that he always was, Noctis reached out and boldly pushed hair behind one of the woman's ears. "He won't win you," he said. His tone was that of a statement, and the tall male didn't seem too worried about what he had to say. "You're too similar. He's too soft for you."

When Coventina spoke of fruit, he barely heard her. Noctis shook his head, a bit delayed in responding. The Earth alpha finally let his expression fall neutral as he was led to a hidden glade-like cave full of fruit trees. Noctis sucked in an appreciative breath, eying everything in surprise. "In a cave?" he asked, finding himself standing far closer to the Water alpha than he had preferred before. The sunlight filtered in through the very top of the ceiling, reminding Noctis of the forests he'd often passed through. It was beautiful.

Cheza's eyes were narrowed slightly in distrust as she breathed out a sharp breath of air through her nose with a 'huff'. He let the small trifling conflict drop, however - he'd stay with his own opinions, and she'd stay with hers.

Some pride spread across her face and her eyes glittered in the morning sun. "Hn, you're welcome. Our morals may be different, but the fire pack isn't one to break promises." She paused there and turned her head to stare at the dead and abandoned.

"What I would like to know is who exactly is responsible for this. My first guess was that alpha Syndarion...but he seems to be on our side." He'd been a suspicious character in Cheza's mind originally and possibly still was. No good ever came from mysterious people.

The bluntness that Noctis used in his wording at first caught Coventina a bit off guard. "Yes." she confirmed gently, feeling her stomach twist. Why did she feel aprehensive when talking about Sky. He was the only male in her tribe that would be actually old enough and eligible enough to court her. Looking up surprised as he brushed her hair behind her ear, she walked towards the cave with him. His words caught her off guard again. Somehow, she believed his words about Sky not winning her, but then, who would? Wolves only mated once in life, exept the alphas, who sometimes had two mates if one was lost to death early on in life.
Walking into the cave, Coventina smiled proudly at her work and nodded. "I based it off the forests that our territory does cover." she said lightly and then walked over to a apple tree and picked the ripe fruit. "We grow all through the year in here... tell me how it tastes." she said brightly and stepped a little closer to him so their arms brushed, makin gher heart flutter.

(Sorry for my absence. I am definately with you VIEW. I'll be sooo happy when school's out!!:boogie:)

Jazereth sighed. "You of all people wouldn't understand Sky. You have many years left to live. Though I, on the other hand, most likely do not. Being in constant danger. I do not have time to trifle in these things that you people call "love". My pups will not get hurt or die on my watch. And if they did, they'd learn. I cannot guide them through life, it would be simply unethicle. I am an alpha that is one of my words and truths. I do not believe in anything that cannot be proven. Living thta way, I have safely led my pack. Everyone has to give up something dear to them in excange for their desires. Tell me, what are you willing to give for the chance to court Coventina? Honestly I do not trust you, and neither do I intend to. That is the visitudes of fate. But, let me tell you something that might help." Moving towards Sky, Jazereth smirked. Leaning forwards and whispering into his ear, she said,"You might think you have a chance with Coventina. But you should fear Noctis. He is already ten paces ahead of you. And he's getting closer this very second. I'm not one to trifle in other's affairs, but even I can see Coventina is taken by Noctis. Whether she realizes it or not. You have acknowledge this." Moving back towards Cheza, Jazereth threw over her shoulder,"I'll ask you again. How much are you ready to give up for Coventina. For love?"

"No way Navi, am I going to trust him. And I have no clue why he left. Besides that howl. But that seems irelivant at this moment." Suddenly Syndarion arrived. Comprehending his words, Ketaro quickly stood up. "How many are wounded?! Alpha why does this keep happening?! What the hell is going on?! I don't get why the enemy would possibly want our secrets! I mean only the alpha from the pack can read the secrets from their pack. Navi, could they possibly be coming after the alphas now that their plan of attack has failed?"

"It's not impossible to read The secret's, Ketaro. After all, I am abled to. "He said. "I do not claim responsiblity for what happended, and I don't intend to, because I didn't do it. I sent a guard of 32 over at the Water Tribe and Fire-tribe hide out, and only 12 are still alive, 6 wounded. "He said.
