I don't know about suburbs as I have never actually lived in what is technically defined as a suburb, but I do live out in the country and with the people that live out there down here in the South....I dare someone to try and stop them from discharging their weapons when they want to. I would get me some popcorn because it would be one hell of a show.

Also, I heard a gunshot today and it made me jump. Luckily, though, guns aren't allowed here except for what it was, which was the airport bang to make the birds fly away from the runway.
