Probably because otherwise the stick would layer behind the arm.
Mene has a lot of layers, but each item is usually one layer.
Gaia's layers are split, and items are more than one layer, which allows for more complicated layering, like something behind the head up top, but still shows up in the hand. @_@

Well, some of the hairs have two layers. I bet they'd be able to do two layers on some of the items.

I'm hoping so, I posted the umbrella in the layering glitch thread.
I'd be super happy to see something done with it. :D

I was thinking of that hairpin, but had figured you'd already tried it. It looks good with the hearts over it.

Whenever I use lilac, I end up using this hairpin, I wanted to mix it up.
