At this point I don't even want celes to happen.
It's a summer event and now it's OCTOBER.

yeah, unless they tie it in together with Halloween some how is does kinda seem like a bad idea to have it this late.

I mean, Celes and the Steampunk thing could have been together.

I'm honestly not a big fan of the steampunk event, from what little I saw of it.
And I'm really disappointed that "all events from now on after celes" are going to be like it.

I'm kinda torn. I mean, I'll be very pouty if we don't have Celes this year, since it's my favorite event. But... it's so late! And with Halloween right around the corner, people are going to need to save up what they can. Two events so close is just insanity.

It's too bad they won't just combine them. I could totally dig that. It's not like it's that far of a stretch. Even goddesses must like dressing up sometimes, right?

Because they didn't have it this year, I never got to make a birthday thread.

I really don't care what they do at this point, but I know I'm probably going to become less interested in mene unless they REALLY somehow manage to convince me that their new style of events isn't crap. I don't want to have to participate in contests and shit to get my damn EIs.

I just want to make my hangout thread, post in their, earn event currency, and buy pretty stuff with my hard earned currency and gold.

I still don't understand what they mean about events changing. Or how items will be given out. and I don't really want to have to join contests either. Which will kinda make them seem less like fun and more like work.

All I know is, I don't want to pay 5-20k for any new items from events that I was out because I "missed" the event like I did during the shipwreck one.

Maybe I'm just a cynical mess, but... I don't think I'm going to enjoy the 'new' events. I said so earlier, but I didn't consider the Shipwreck Ball to be an 'event' as such. And of course, by ignoring it, I missed out on some unique items... but thems the breaks I guess.

I missed the shipwreck one because I didn't have internet, and still don't have the items for it becos I can't afford them.

I just really want the squid too. Screw the ships. I :heart: Squids.

That's what I did Jezriel. I was like...meh don't gotta collect anything k bai. Then next week I was like...Hey what shop did you get that squid from? WHAT?! It was an event item? How? Huh? GRRR!

Monstahh: Do you have the ship from it? I have 3 of them for sale.

But yeah, on with what you guys are saying. I am kind of not looking forward to the new event styles, especially with the whole "not major shop updates" part. I dunno. I prefer the event commons to anything else, and the fact that those might be skimped out on. Ehh, not overly looking forward to it.

Since I'm on a crazy long quest I really liked the events where, when you collected all the event items you could buy commons with it. It was like the only time I bought commons.

Yeah, using the event currency to buy the event commons. I am really going to miss that. Besides that point, I was there for Shipwreck, and honestly the event was SO dead.

If they don't do very many event commons, then they're going to have to step up the random shop updates or something. Those Half-Off event commons are practically the only commons I buy! Unless I just haaaave to have something to complete an outfit... then I scrounge up the gold if I can.

Yup, it was dead and the reason it was so dead was because people didn't think there were any items associated with it.
